Within the world of Ingens, magic flows through the cracks in the rocks, through its rivers and air currents. Magic is everywhere and yet it’s created a source of unrest among many of its citizens. Magic is being spent in useless wars and it’s becoming hard to come by. Magic is not endless and that is becoming evident with many people losing their natural talent to wield it. Magic in Ingens is divided up into twelve factions: Decay, Illusion, Time, Space, Water, Air, Animation, Flora, Lightning, Fauna, Earth and Fire. Magic is utilized by using small marbles that a user ingests, this ability is then used by one’s breath and lasts a maximum of a month with the minimum lasting only two weeks. A user is able to swallow more than one magical marble at a time but it will greatly shorten their duration of use due to conflicting elements within their one spirit’s heart. Over time a user who constantly uses magic, will have a hard time getting a lot of absorption time. The user's eye color, nail color and hair color can change with use of their respective marbles.
Currently there are those who can harvest magical marbles from the oceans, rocks, air, etc. Many of them are becoming harder to find and construct and while many people believe this will end the wars around Ingens, a group of people have banded together hoping to end the war themselves with as much power as possible. This group believes that even when people run out of magic to use, the world will not be easily restored to peace; there will still be a power struggle. So this group has embarked on a long quest to quell the fighting, find the precious marbles and end the war on their terms. They believe that they can use the marbles as a sign of power, not oppressive power, but a sign to show everyone that the fighting must stop and rebuilding ingens must be the focus. They are sure everyone who is in combat will attempt to gain the upper hand once the smoke clear so the group hopes to organize everything in a fair manner. This group calls themselves Saffire which is a combination of Sapphire and Fire. The leader of the group has many secret connections and has heard whispers of rare marbles that have already been merged together with other elements, thus giving someone, in theory, double the power without the side effects of losing it quicker in time.
Saffire has struggled to make much headway in Ingens as many distrust the self proclaimed group that wishes to end all fighting. Many see Saffire as a selfish endeavor which won’t bring about harmony at all. With the group dwindling, the leader wishes to round up new members who are skilled in combat, negotiation and have the same idea for the future. The new members would have to be capable of willing to help everyone in need while also capable of fending off many of their enemies who just want to fight for selfish power and control. Saffire prides itself on collecting many many magical marbles and holding onto them in hopes of waiting out the war. Its group members can of course use some of the gems they have collected but it is based on effort and importance. Tainted marbles have also been an issue as of late, as some of the more evil clans in Ingens have made faulty marbles that can poison and easily kill its user. Some of the innocent bystanders wonder if it’s Saffire that is up to no good. The newly formed group has finally gotten a new lead on a marble that has been made. With others surely after the same thing, they must hurry.
The first chapter has Saffire leading a mission to obtain a collection of marbles which have been recently made. They contain the elements fire, air and time. This marble is a sought after treasure because of it containing three difficult elements which also eliminates the issue of a short lived power source. Maybe believe that with three elements in one marble, a user can possibly become immortal or have permanent powers. The stone is also rumored to use sapphire blue breath instead of the default colors of red, light pale blue and magenta. While en route to the supposedly origin of Sapphire Fire, Saffire is attacked by a local village who wants to murder them for their murderous deeds. This is of course a misunderstanding and soon Saffire is released but not until another fight breaks out with one of the many clans who rule over the area with their oppression.
The second chapter has our group following a lead about a Ruby Water marble which contains the elements: water, fauna and decay and like the previous rumor, its aura is red rather than the normal ones. The group continues along until a traitor is revealed amongst them in a time of need. The traitor steals the Saffire collection of stones and escapes, forcing the group to hunt the person down while leaving the Ruby Water marbles up for the taking. Unrest spreads throughout the group as alliances threaten to shift and the group breaks down into even smaller numbers. With many people defenseless without their stash of marbles, a life altering decision is made that can be for the better of the group but at the cost of many lives.
Other chapters include, along with GM musings:Emerald Lightning, Golden Blood, and Obsidian Rose. Not all chapters will be focused on travel, hunting stones and fighting. Each chapter will be based on specific powers highlighted at the given time in the story though. There will be a darker plot regarding the tainting of marbles, the use of human sacrifices, alchemy, and the classic power struggle between humans.
Once some interest is gained, I will put up an OOC as quickly as possible. I shall give a rough idea of what is expected of you within the OOC and IC, I expect active posters who are capable of giving several (more than four) paragraphs per post and in a timely manner. I know the most painful poison to a story is inactivity. Once one or two slack, this causes a domino effect on everyone, GM included. This needs to be avoided, a post of something is better than waiting for something. Suggestions, arcs and various chapters will and should be suggested by all members who are playing. Fantasy is supposed to be fun and motivating, with that in mind I do wish to add other elements of darkness and conflicts with morality.
This should be a well sized group of players and characters, the more close knit the better, I think but it all depends on what people bring to the party. Character wise, I will be looking for more adults who do have their own collection of marbles already, who can make their own name in the world but who want the fighting to come to a stop at most any price. Villains will be GM roles until we have a stable enough group to who I can turn to and trust to make temporary foes without overstepping guidelines and just ruining our development already established. Your character doesn't need to have a heart of a saint but they shouldn't be selfish or too crude either, they're with Saffire for a reason aren't they?
If I can gain enough interest, I can start an OOC. The sooner, the better yes. The OOC will contain my characters, a map and a bit more information, but not much. I find it a bit easier to have less information and more trust among writers than to start nitpicking too much and ruin the intention of writing itself.

Spirit
All Elements of magical basis stem from Spirit. It is through the manifestation of one's spiritual power in the physical world that magic is created; it is the cornerstone, the essence of magic.
Decay
This power is tapped by Necromancers, as well as those who erode strength, drain energy, and utilize diseases. Special link to Time.
Illusion
Illusions are made by tricking any of the senses; they can have the target thinking they are on fire, underwater, or any other number of things. Special link to Lightning; often coupled with Water.
Time
There are three divisions of Time: Past, Present, and Future. Often a person who uses Time in magic can only master one of the three. A user of Time may be able to freeze it, speed it up to accelerate the growth of living things, rewind it to unblock a route, or otherwise distort it. Special relation to Space.
Taboo: Aging one part of a person's body until it is dead
Space
Teleporting people, places, and objects are this power's forte. People who use this power generally use it to Summon creatures since lethal use of this power is unpleasant. Special relation to Time.
Taboo: Teleporting an organ out of its owner's body
Water
Water comes in different forms - liquid, vapour (steam/mist), and solid (ice). Some people can manipulate and/or generate all three, or just one or two. Opposed by Fire.
Taboo: Freezing blood; bursting blood vessels or puncturing organs
Air
Also known as "Wind", users of Air can generate cyclones and fierce winds. Opposed by Earth.
Taboo: Bursting a person's lungs; depriving them of oxygen until they suffocate
Animation
The Power of Movement, Animation can make the dead rise, statues move, and buildings rearrange themselves. It also applies to the restriction of movement.
Taboo: Halting the movement of blood; causing a person to die of starvation or dehydration by stopping their movements
Flora
Those in tune with Floral abilities can "speak" with plants, boost their growth, and more. Sunlight generally strengthens this power. Special relation to Fauna.
Taboo: Causing any consumed seeds to grow
Lightning
Lightning often comes with other storm-based abilities, though having Lightning magic by itself is not unheard of. People with Lightning magic are often called "lightning rods" due to their tendency to unconcsiously draw lightning to themselves. A specialized use for Lightning magic is manipulating a person's brain waves in order to make them see things or move their limbs. Special link to Illusion.
Taboo: Frying a person's brain
Fauna
The power of connectivity to animals. Powers include ability to speak with animals and shapeshifting. It's an added bonus to Summoners to be attuned to this Element. Special relation to Flora.
Earth
Rocks, minerals (including gemstones) and soil are governed by Earth. People with this ability are often hired to seek out precious metals and stones, though the employer is careful never to cross a person who can cause the very earth to open up and swallow a person whole. Opposed by Air.
Fire
Highly dangerous and unpredictable, the Fire Element is difficult to control. Very few can generate it. Opposed by Water.

Tentative interest expressed. This sounds very interesting but I am heavily focusing on my studies at the moment so I will wait to see the OOC, once I see that I can guarantee you a yes or no, if it is a yes, I can assure you I will not be going anywhere.
Also this is a very appealing interest check, both visually and written.
So the general gist of the plot is to collect a bunch of marbles of all the magic types, summon Captain Planet and end the war?
