There was a turn or two in which you were sitting there with the beetle on your head not doing anything, presumably afk and thus not giving new commands. You could have possibly done something, but you gave it too much time.

Also, since you'd just spawned for the first time you did indeed have nothing to lose in death.

Open up the hider for Session 4. Look at the difference between the fourth and third to last images. That looks like something coming out of its ass, likely a cluster of eggs imo.
