Byd Coll (Sci-Fi and Fantasy I think)

Welcome to Byd Coll!

Byd Coll is a planet that had been lost for centuries. The humans left it, for they didn't have the means to make it sustain their life form. In fact, they thought that it couldn't sustain life at all. How wrong they were. While they were ignoring Byd Coll in favor of finding a planet that they could live on, another life form was establishing its roots in Byd Coll. They altered the atmosphere to sustain their life forms, which wasn't that much different from the humans'. They colonized it, and had lived on it for many generations.

Hundreds of years have passed before the humans have found the planet again. By the time they did, they had forgotten all about it. Seeing this planet, they decided to explore it. They were shocked to find that they could sustain their life form here, but they weren't one to question it. Their planet was quickly being over populated and they needed the room. After little thought, humans decided to take a few of their kind to live in Byd Coll. Little did they know, that there was another species that had already had the same idea.



That's where it all began.

History

With two races, there are two separate kingdoms and two separate hierarchy systems. Tensions are high among the two races, so, although they are allowed to interact and visit the cities of the other race, they rarely have anything to do with one another. Both races have about the same level of intelligence, but both have different morals. Humans think that they're the supreme species, and are trying to push the aliens off the planet. The aliens just want to coexist peacefully with the humans. Despite the alien's attempt of peace, the humans continually attacked them in an attempt to get them to move. They've given the aliens three choices: Move, fight, or die.

The aliens decided to fight the only way they knew how. They hacked into the robots that the humans use for slaves and reprogrammed them to turn against the humans. While the humans were fighting the aliens, the robots began attacking from the inside and dealt much damage. The humans quickly caught on and quickly threw out the faulty robots. These robots organized themselves to build the third kingdom, the third hierarchy system, and the third race fighting for revenge and to free their brethren.

Humans could no longer put all their effort into fighting the aliens, and had to pull in their troops, making the alien's plan effective. Now, the human race needed a new method of fighting for both races. They still wanted their land, but they had to protect themselves from the robots, so they came up with a new method. They'd send robots out to do the fighting for them. After all, robots were easily replaced. The production of robots went up. The war went on. Robots as well as aliens went to reprogramming the new robots. The faulty ones were thrown out. Humans created new systems to make the hacking harder, the other races found a way around that new system.

It became an endless cycle, but perhaps someone can break it? Perhaps someone could either decide a victor, or create peace within the planet? (*cough*PlotLine*cough*)

Races

Humans
Colonist:
These tend to be the more peaceful and ignorant people. They have little knowledge of what's going on outside, and are fed lies by the kingdom. Not all of them believe what their told, and some of them even know the truth. Curiosity is human nature after all. They cannot help want to know more.

Explorer:
Explorers tend to know more about the war, and they are usually the ones with the most curiosity, and go to seek out the truth. It's pretty easy for a child to become an explore to explore the uncharted lands of the planet, but many still prefer their carefree life within the human kingdom. Not having to worry about the unknown species that live on the planet. Even though explorers are supposed to explore, the leaders have little power outside their kingdom. Once a human leaves their land, the king has little authority over them.

Aliens
They tend to be peaceful, but many now hold a grudge against humans and seek revenge on the humans. There are many personalities, just like with the human species. They are currently in an unspoken alliance with the robots. They believe that ever species, even the robots, deserve to be free. That's what their taught. Unlike the humans, they aren't taught that the other species are filthy and don't deserve to live. They are taught that they are misunderstood and misunderstanding and need to be taught. The aliens may or may not believe this.

Robots
Free:
These robots despise the humans. They fight to free the other robots and for revenge. Since they have been reprogrammed, they are more or less free thinking beings. They also have the same intelligence as the humans, since the humans made them to do their work for them. The aliens did not change that. They agree to work with the aliens, because the aliens originally freed them.

Slaves:
These are not free thinking beings, but some of them have been reprogrammed and are currently under cover to gather information for the free robots. The ones that haven't been reprogrammed hold no real emotion to what's going on, and do whatever it is that the humans tell them to do, and since the humans have built the robots in their views of 'perfect' the robots do everything pretty much 'perfectly'.

*The underground is made of all races combined. They fight for peace and unity among the races.

Goverment

Humans
There is a president that rules the country and governors that rule the states. The people vote for the president, and the people within each state vote for their governor. They make all the decisions, but the governors have to listen to the president.

Presidents last for five years before they go up for re-election, and governors last for ten. Presidents can serve up to three terms, and governors can serve up to two.

Aliens
There are four noble families, and one is in power. Each one has a leader that would become "King" if there family was in power, but it means nothing unless their family is in power. Being in a noble family means nothing unless their family is in power. If a noble family isn't in power, then they're just rich aliens.

The leader of the current family in power is the King, and the power get's past for father to son. The King has ALL the power. The family has no power, unless they can manipulate the King. If the King dies, and there is no heir, then the power goes to the leader of the next noble family.

Robots
It's a kill or be killed situation for the robots. They live to fight, and feel no emotion in doing so. The current leader has control and is replaced when the first is destroyed.

The fight is to prove that the leader can protect their people, free the slaves, and get the revenge they deserve.

Underground
The underground kind of works as a democracy with someone to complain to, they call a "leader". The leader is the oldest member, and when they are killed, rights go to the next oldest member. The leader chooses the sub-leaders. If one leader is destroyed, and the new one doesn't like the sub-leaders, they can remove them and get new ones.

The only purpose of the sub-leaders are to go through complaints and set up solutions to vote on. If a sub-leader isn't doing its job, then they complain to the leader.

The leaders and sub-leaders hold no true power, and the power lies within the people.

Geography

Humans
Humans have developed 5 major cities: Stoute Dale, Oaken Green, Ivymorass, Cleftisle, and Cloudbay.

They are pretty scattered among the parts that the humans have explored. Each major city is the capital of a state. The state's name is the capital's name followed by "State". Cleftisle is the capital of the country.

Aliens
Aliens have four major provinces: The Dark Province, The Dying Province, The Living Province, and The Light Province.

The Living Province is currently controlled by the royal family, causing it to flourish.

The other three are controlled by the noble familes. The Dark Province is mostly filled with the aliens that want to kill off the human race. The Light Province is mostly filled with aliens that want to protest peacefully. The Dying Province almost got wiped out by the humans.

Robots
The area owned by the robots is small due to the fact that they are fairly new to the area, but it's growing quickly. The place owned by the robots is known simply as, "The Realm".

Underground
The Underground lives in a place simply known as "The Hideout" and the only people who know where it is are members of the Underground.

Technology

I'll keep this part short and simple. The technology of this RP is Steampunk style technology. Other than that, it's all futuristic technology. That means hovercrafts, teleporters, and anything else that you can think of goes.



(*Yeah, I thought this out a long time ago and decided to try it out. Remember that most of this is simply suggestions and characters or such that are outside the norm are still fine by me. I kind of think I should include more information about technology on here, so any suggestions for that would be nice too.)
