Well...that screwed up some plans of mine, but I can make it work.

    - - - Updated - - -

Question though. Can the Flaws work for us? As in Madness or Genius? flaw it can create some monster that will help you instead of hinder you. Or the New world flaw, you can discover the other technology.

A flaw can be of a small help at times, but most of the time it'll end up being bad shit. For instance the dangerous coasts flaw, your own navy will be almost useless, but it offers some limited protection against seaborn invasions, same with black skies and airships. Bare in mind though both will cause plenty of problems for their small benefits.

    Eretius

    Races:
Goblins (main population) Orc(Makes up most of the land military), and Ogres who make up much of the task force

    History:
The nation of Eretius was once a collection of warring goblin and orc tribes before the leader of one tribe decided to change that. Through largely warfare and conquest, the leader annexed and absorbed all other tribes gaining their resources and abilities. When a stable government, economy and military was set up, the new nation turned it's eyes North, to the land of the Ogres seeking new land to absorb and use. The Ogres are a relatively simple minded race, albeit really strong and fierce in battle, they are easily tricked and fooled. That is how the nation Eretius's armies beat that of the Ogres. Through tricks and ambush and other such sneaky tactics. When they had taken over the Ogres land, they wasted no time subjugating the population and making them slaves to be the main task force of the lands. The Ogres, again being simple minded, were once more tricked into thinking that they had no reason to try and elevate their current lot in life, and the Nation of Eretius gave them no reason to, Overall, they were not cruel or overly expecting of their slaves. But, the Ogres are still slaves, working for free, and getting only food and a bit of land in return for their work. The land was usually set near or on their place of work as well. They also have no rights and are treated largely as property and not living creatures. Soon after this the nation discovered Clockwork and it became there go to tech.

    Culture:
The tribal culture of the past has seeped into the present day Eretius culture. While not being completely combat based, all of the males have a "coming of age" ritual that they must past to be fully accepted into Eretius society. The ritual gives the boy a choice, go into the wilderness and hunt down and slay a large predator, bringing back it's head has proof of your deed, or slay a criminal in the arena. The Eretians decide whom their ruler by two steps, First, out of the Eligible Royal family members, whom has the best head for politics and other such things a ruler must do. Then, if there is more than one ruler eligible their would be a tournament (always in melee combat), to decide whom will get the title. The first few rounds will be non-lethal simply besting your opponent but the final fight would be to the death, winner becoming king. Along with that their religion has seeped into the present day as well, it being polytheistic and having numerous gods, though a sign of the new age is no longer do the gods have names they are just referred to by their domain. The people of nation are also are extremely interested in finding out and discovering improvements to anything, and creating new things be it weapons, armor, food, etc .

    Army Type:
Ye Olde Grandee Armee: A nice neutral.

Clockwork Reapers: These are the personal bodyguards to the king. These orcish soldiers have had nearly all of their organs and limbs replaced with Clockwork parts, excluding the heart and the part of the brain that allows for thought and action without orders. Their axes also have guns built into them, so they can wage ranged warfare if necessary. Their armor is that of the highest quality that can be produced from Eretius mines. They are "programmed" to be loyal to the end, to put the kings life above their own. Amount: 50 Apperance

Clockwork knights: Exactly what it says. These knights are basically clockwork reapers only are not given the absolute best of the best armor and are only sent in if the military needs an enemy army's back broken..they are the shock troops of the land military of Eretius. Heavy or "Tank" Walker: This walker was crafted by Eretius engineers for one purpose. Total destruction. This is the walkers sent in when they need to shell an enemy position, or stop advancement. The Walker has different types of ammo such as, but not limited to, Explosive, flak, single shot. Looks like This Moves surprisingly quickly for it's size. Amount: 250

Sniper Battalion: These soldiers have had their eyes and most of their limbs and organs replaced for better accuracy, speed, and skill when using their sniper rifles. They also serve as scouts. Power Sources:
Steam Generators: Whose Nicola Tesla again?

    Special Trait:
Animalistic: The Blood of the Tribes still runs strong in the veins of the people of Eretius. They tribes lived almost as animals and copied and learned from them to hunt and survive. As such, it is now in their blood to when they hunt or do something that requires stealth, to instinctively give themselves the best position to hide and move unnoticed (basically stealth comes naturally to them). When they invade they instinctively fight as ferociously as a predator battling for more territory. When defending they fight ten times as harder and refuse to even give up a little ground. They also have a "Pack speak" system were they can communicate through signs and body language. Their tracking skills are phenomenal. In short, they are in touch with their more animal sides.

    National Traits:
    British Intelligence Service:
British Secret Service: The Nation of Eretius has the best of the best forces for protecting and gather information.

    Population Traits:

FOR SCIENCE: Eager to discover new improvements or create new things.
Not One Step Back: The people of Eretius are stubborn. Extremely stubborn.

    Academia Traits:
Academy of Science: The more you know the more you can use to kill your enemies.
University of Applied Sciences: A bigger and better Academy!
The Labratory: We can't have our experiments running amok now can we?

    Military Traits:
Stealth Obsessed: If you can outsmart your enemy, the war is half won.
The art of war: Learn from the past
All Or Nothing: That's what built this nation also again, extremely stubborn.

    Clockwork Technology:
Clockwork walkers III: Because just having a robot Fido was not enough. We must have people and VEHICLES!
Clockwork Parts: One new leg coming up!
Clockwork Organs: Annnd a pair of new lungs!
Clockwork Automation: Let the robot army RISE
Clockwork Turrets: Shoot them before they get to the walls.
    Clockwork Finesse: tiny little machines
    Clockwork Gearbox: Efficency increased
    Clockwork Repeaters: RATTA TAT TAT

    Tesla Technology:
    N/A

    Gunpowder Technology:
Cartridge Loading: Shotguns here we come!
Advanced Explosives: Sometimes, you just need to move a mountain.
Flak Cannon: You can't evasive maneuver your way out of this!
#1 Powder: Better powder = better weapons
    Rifling: Accuracy rules.

    Steam Technology:

Steam Miniaturization: Now all my steam cannon pipes can all be in a small little sector beneath the cannon!

    Miscellaneous Technology:
    N/A

    Mental Traits:
Best laid Plans..: Stealth missions don't just happen..sadly.
Now THAT is progress: We didn't get where we are by protecting mother nature

    Physical Modification Traits:
Ate their Breakfast: Waiter! Bring me my breakfast cow! Still mooing!

    Historical Traits:

Old Conquerors (Ancient Age): How do you think we got the slaves?

    Flaws:
Madness or Genius?: OKAY sometimes a giant mutated monster escapes and eats someone but look at the monsters that are on our side!
New World: Go on. Wow us with your technology!
Clockwork Mindset: If you'll read the last part of my history...after you've done that I'll describe it with a simple analogy Why fix what's not broken?
Crusaders!: Where they came from, I do not know, why they came, most likely because we enslaved an entire race..
Paranoia!: Isolation, coupled with enslaving a race, doesn't make for an exactly trusting nation...which is why there is an extensive network of spies and anti-spies..
Religious dominance: Polytheistic religion holding much power is not a good thing for progress. Scientists are waiting and maybe even plotting for that to change.

When the Tides of War are Rising, We will be there to take on all threats to are nation and eliminate them efficiently and ruthlessly. Eretius army motto.

    Ok. 1st of all.

As Gat covered, a flaw can provide minor side-benefits. But the weight of it is strongly on the flaw side. 99% of the time it's just bad stuff. Some, like new world and clockwork mindset, are just limiting what you can start with, and indeed, with enough time all flaws can be overcome (And if unlucky, new ones earned)

2nd: Breech Loading is now a common trait everyone has for free and doesn't have to be included on the sheet. So you've got another point to spend if you wish, or you can lose one of your flaws.

3rd: Your special is fine, but I should make it clear that it won't have any real benefit when it comes to vehicles and ships.

All else considered, no major issues, could definitely be interesting. Let me know when you're finished and i'll approve it.

Ok later on today I'll tweak it a bit.

As for the minor benefits, so with Madness or Genius? I can have a small monster army?

If it is a no, to the small monster army, then I'm done, if not, I'll tweak.

You're actually a few traits overboard at the moment mate. With the 5 flaws your total count can be no higher than 28 (since the two mandatory flaws don't add extra points), You're presently at 31 by my count.

Also a heads up, clockwork automation is very simplistic in what it can do. As soldiers clockwork men would be worse than untrained conscripts, they would need constant supervision and directions to get them to do anything useful, not to mention to stop them firing on friendlies. they are much better suited to manual labour rolls, construction, assembly lines, loaders for a gun crew, street sweepers maybe, basically rolls where the work is highly repetitive and not complex. Logistics would be excellent since they can likely lift much more than goblins. but yea even giving them a gun and telling them to rush an enemy position, results would be poor at best.

You may also be misinterpreting weaponised exhausts. It has nothing to do with more power really, its just the excess steam that isn't used in the weapons or engines (or whatever else is being powered) that usually just goes to waste out the tailpipe (or wherever the exhaust is) gets stocked up some and can be released out the exhaust in a similar manner to a steam cannon.

Everything else seems to look fine to me though.

    Time to fix.

    - - - Updated - - -

So can I have a monster army?

    - - - Updated - - -

Wait, but wouldn't clockwork finesse give the ability to have clockwork soldiers?

My guess would be probably not, maybe a small handful at best. Kad would have to give the final word on that.
Bare in mind of course creating monsters in not all that flaw does, thats just the example given. it more than your scientists don't always take the needed safety steps, or they cut corners in their research sometimes. When the results work as expected its brilliant, frequently however you'll end up with lemons, or things that only work some of the time, then the occasional experiment that just goes way down south and wreaks havok.

Finesse is somewhat like miniaturisation, so yea more complex things can be done with clockwork devices, but programming a clockwork automaton is whole orders of magnitudes complex. there's just simply only so much they can do.
