Hey guys. This an idea Grif and I have been mulling over for a little while and i think it's good enough to warrant a roleplay being started. We need four other role players to fill spots, though if it's popular we can possibly add more teams in at a later stage. If you're into dystopian/modern drama, this will hopefully appeal. Let me enlighten you.

It's 2014. Six people from all different walks of life and nationalities wake up to find themselves lost in the city of Hong Kong. Their mobile phones, identification and personal effects have gone, to be replaced instead with an attaché suitcase containing over twelve million Hong Kong Dollars (£100,000). There is an earpiece in everybody's ear, and from it a voice tells them they cannot leave the peninsula without completing a task first. One simple task. Kill the other five suitcase holders. They may use whatever means they see fit and can use the money in their suitcase to buy whatever they need. There is no time limit for the task yet, but complications and predicaments will descend on them the longer they linger. The people may work together to achieve a common goal, but nobody is getting out of Hong Kong alive unless they do as they're told.

That's about it. If you have any questions please ask me, we need to pad this out a little bit and you can help by offering suggestions and ideas. From that little synopsis i hope everybody gets the general gist of the idea. This thread is to gauge interest in the concept before i move on and put more detail into it as well as Q&A. So please, voice your mind!

I don't want it to be a credit card though I like the idea of a suitcase more so that people can be identified wherever they go. Let's put it to a vote.

Yay! What character are you thinking of applying? Also, do you think each character should be lumbered with a suitcase or a credit card? With the suitcase mind you you're vulnerable to attack by gangs who have been informed on the wealth contained inside.

I'm feeling the credit card idea. It feels like it'd fit in with the modern-feel, and it makes your character more manouverable XD I'd hate to have to try and run away from someone trying to kill me with a big-ass suitcase full o' money :s

I'm working on ideas for a character, I always suck at getting ideas right away D: What are you guys thinking?

I'm fine either way, honestly. I just thought that a credit card of sorts made much more sense.

It would make it harder, but surely that's the idea? Also, it's not as though you must have that suitcase to survive. You can rent an apartment and leave it in there and just take out all the cash you need. As for your character, i have no idea hun; perhaps a profession that you know something about? What do you work as?

I'm actually a photographer, but I figured that someone a little more Average Joe-ish, maybe someone young with less of an idea of the value of money (like a 20-something fresh out of college) would be fun since he/she'd be all about spending the money without realising how quickly it was running out.

The possibilities are endless but ideally i want everybody to be civilian. No military guys. I put money on the fact that someone will ask whether they can be a trooper.

Haha Fair enough, I hadn't thought of it that way, but it's actually a really nice idea

If you think suitcases full of money MAKE the RP then I say go for it
