Dean

'Changing her name?' Dean couldn't help but think to himself. He always did think of the random bits of information at the wrong times. He very slowly etched his eyes further up the stairs, just enough so he was right under Mika, it was the only thing he could think to do. Somehow he needed to try and get Sam behind her dad ready to shoot him if needs be- hell it NEED to happen! This douche bag was threatening to kill Mika just because she wanted him out of her life and memories. Killing people- especially women didn't sit well with him.

No one was going to die today- except her dad. He refused to lose anyone because of one damn spirit. Then he heard a familiar rumble outside and he couldn't help but slowly turn his eyes towards the door, then to the window. "Sora...." He said through gritted teeth, 'if he scratches my damn car...' he thought to himself. Though he knew that Sora crashing through the window was the best distraction, as it meant that would give Sam time to snake his way behind her dad, which caused him to look at Sam and motion with his hands the plan of action, glancing at her dad to make sure his attention was on Mika and not him.

If he could get Sam behind him, then he could concentrating on grabbing Mika when she was thrown down.


Mika

Mika tried to stop her snivelling but it was just too damn difficult to do. She was facing her worst fear... other than clowns. Hell, she thought if she had the choice between her dad and clowns she'd probably pick to see a clown than be in this situation. It was happening just like her dream did all those years ago, and that was scaring her even more.

When she heard a rumble outside, she knew that sound as well as the boys did and wondered what Sora was up to. 'My house!' she thought, when her dad suddenly shook her to bring her attention back to him. "Don't turn away from me when I'm talking to you! This is why I never wanted you in the first place!! You rude ignorant little bastard child!" He shouted, and that caused Mika to look him and feel like a thousand more daggers of history stab through her all over again.

"Dad I'm sorry I never was the son you wanted! But I can't help genetics!" She sobbed, now finding it very difficult to speak properly and began choking. "I didn't want you full stop! You never should have been born!!" He yelled, when he saw Dean finish signalling to Sam something, and it made him smirk, "You think you can be her hero!? I won't let you anywhere near her! She's better off dead than in your hands!" He shouted at Dean.

Sam & Sora

Sam could hear the purr of Dean's 'baby' revving outside, looking at Dean give his plan through hand motions, he knew what Sora was gonna do, even if Sora didn't know himself that he was gonna be a big part of this plan, they had one chance and one chance only to get this right...he got himself facing the direction he'd have to go while the spirit was focused on Mika. All that needed to be done was wait for the moment to arrive, these next few seconds were gonna feel like a lifetime.

"Oh god..." Sora said as he tried to keep the Impala steady as it roared towards the window, this certainly wasn't the experience he was hoping for when he first drove any car, let alone the Impala. As the car got closer, Sora ducked while keeping the steering wheel on the straight, not really knowing when the impact would happen now that he couldn't see. It wasn't long though before it finally happened...

The Impala smashed through the window into the living room, jolting Sora back up from his ducking position as he slammed the brakes on so he didn't get through any furthur, the impact was hard, smashing the windscreen off the Impala and squashing the bonnet inwards. Sora was lucky, it hadn't squashed enough to trap him inside as he coughed from all the debris smoke, pushing open the door and crawling out. The impact had also caused Dean's tapes that was still in his player to start playing again when "Knocking on Heaven's Door" came on.

While at the same time when the Impala was crashing through, Sam made his move when the spirit was distracted by the crash, he dashed around, cocking his shotgun and getting behind the spirit and holding the gun to its head, there was no time for hesitation though before the spirit knew where Sam was, he pulled the trigger and the shot instantly made the spirit disappear, letting Mika go from his clutches, he wasn't gone, but knowing that Mika was safe for now was good enough, catching her as she fell not able to stand up.

"Mika...are you ok?" Sam asked with such worry looking at the grip marks that were now left around Mika's neck.

Mika and Dean

Dean smirked, knowing they will get the better of him soon enough, it was only a matter of time. He had missed when Dean signalled to Sam the plan- that was enough. "Oh I will because she'll be safer with us than you!" Dean couldn't help but say in a smart ass tone of voice. He was dreading the impact the car through the house moment.

He was willing let Sora put his baby in harms way to help save Mika. Sora's distraction tactic was the biggest part of this plan, and as much as he loved his baby, he knew Mika's safety was more important. "You got nothing to get rid of me with! I'll always be arou-" The spirit spat back at him when the impala came crashing through the house and that made the spirit turn his head at the debris that was now flying around in the air. Dean took this opportunity to not look at the state of the car but make sure he was close enough under Mika to catch her when Sam fired his shotgun filled rock salt into her father.

Mika kept choking, finding it harder and harder to breathe as she felt the air not get to her lungs from the choking she was suffering. Just like her dream.... only thing that hasn't come round yet is the tumbling down the stairs and the blood pouring down her skull. 'Please dont let me die....' she thought to herself, almost praying and begging that the Winchesters can save her life. That was when the Impala came crashing through and she shut her eyes tightly out of reaction and not being able to do much else, as her efforts to wriggle out of her father's grip were becoming limp. Yet Sam saved her life as she felt the grip of her father's disappear from her neck and she began to fall but Sam grabbed her wrist keeping her suspended.

Coughing she looked at Sam, her eyes thankful for his help as she nodded. "Don't let me go..." She couldn't help but say scared of falling, almost feeling a tad disorientated and forgetting Dean was right under her. "Mika, it's okay I'm under you- Sam let her go I'll catch her." Dean called up, stretching his arms up, finding his fingertips grazing over her feet. "No..." Mika whimpered, still coughing, "What if you drop me...?" She asked, "I won't drop you, I'm a good catch! Sam..?" He replied to her, calling Sam's name in a way that said 'it's okay, let go now'.

"Cas go check on Sora and help him," Dean said, not even sure whereabouts Cas was, as he couldn't much passed Mika's legs and Sam's head as he was leaning over the bannister trying to keep a hold of Mika's wrist.

Sam

"I won't let you fall" Sam said keeping hold of Mika with one arm, dropping his shotgun so he can grab her with both hands. Hearing Dean calling up from below, Sam felt a bit reluctant at first in letting Mika fall, she was so scared, the last thing he wanted to do was put her in fear of falling even if it was only for a second.

Then Dean called up again, in the tone when Sam knew how serious and prepared he was in ready to catch her, he nodded before looking at Mika, "It's all gonna be ok, trust me" waiting for Mika's reply knowing she was ready before he slowly let go of her so she dropped into Dean's arms.


Cas & Sora

Standing behind Sam as he held onto Mika, Cas was keeping a lookout on where the spirit could return, "Don't keep her there for long, this spirit is sure to return soon and we need to get her to safety" he said before he heard Dean from downstairs saying to check on Sora. "Yes of course" he replied before disappearing to appear again downstairs next to the carnage.

At this time, Sora had just crawled out the damaged Impala, still coughing, holding his side where the steering wheel had pushed against it, "Jeez what was I thinking?" he said as he stayed knelt to the ground to try and get his breath, when Cas suddenly appeared and helped him up. "Are you ok Mike?" Cas asked looking up and down to see if there was any noticeable injuries.

"Yeah...I'm ok, for the most part" Sora replied, again clutching his side, he wasn't broken anywhere, it just hurt like hell. "That's good, though I fear that's the least of your worries once this is over" Cas said while looking at the Impala.

Sora turned to the Impala to see what damage he had caused, when his attention was caught by seeing Mika hanging over the edge with Sam holding her with Dean underneath, just before Sam dropped her into Dean's arms. "Mika..." Sora said as he tried to rush over to her to see if she was hurt, "I-is she ok? What happened?!" he cried out to Dean.

Mika and Dean

Mika felt a bit reassured when Sam said he wouldn't let go and let her fall. If there was any a time to fully trust the brothers it was now. Sure, it was only a case of falling down the stairs in her own home but after she dreamt about this happening, she was terrified Dean wouldn't catch her and she'll crack her skull on the bottom step... just like she dreamed it.

Hearing Cas say about her dad being sure to come back just worried her more. But Dean insisted on not dropping her and kept telling Sam to let her go. She looked up at Sam when he said to trust her and it will be okay and gulping down her fear she nodded at him, before she felt him slowly let go of her. Closing her eyes tightly she felt herself drop and be grabbed by Dean just as quickly she dropped from Sam's grip.

"Mika.. you can open your eyes... I got you, it's okay." Dean said gripping her tightly when she dropped and scooping her up in his arms as he felt her grip onto him so tightly, he could his jacket taunt around his shoulders and ribcage. He looked up at Sam with a nod and sigh, deciding now isn't the time to let her go, before he got distracted by Sora's exclaiming in worry over Mika.

"She's okay, just a little shook up... her douche bag of a father is what happened, but we got her, so don't fret." He told Sora, before looking at his car and gritting his teeth tightly. 'Don't think about it... don't look at it... you can fix her up when this is all over' he thought to himself, before looking at Sora. "You okay though? I know this is a bad time to kinda say, but I'm gonna need you to lear quickly how to fire a shotgun, I can't see this one letting go of me anytime soon, so I need you to be my firing arm." He said to Sora, nodding towards his shotgun on the step by his feet.

"It's how I dreamed it..." Mika mumbled in a muffled voice, as she had her head buried in Dean's leather jacket- even though she hated leather with a passion, but right now that leather jacket and the person in it was her saviour and her only comfort... so she made do with it, as the odd tear fell from her eye and down that very jacket.

Sora

"Yeah...I'm fine, as long as she is..." Sora said in response to Dean as he looked down at Mika rubbing her back a little. A tear of relief was falling down his face as he quickly wiped it off when Dean told him that he's gonna have to take control of the shotgun, "I-I'm ready" Sora nodded, not entirely convinced in himself yet but he knew he was gonna have to do this, not for Dean, but for Mika.

He had always promised to protect her from anything, and even though this was something he could never of controlled, seeing her in that state was hearbreaking for him but also made him more determined than ever to get this sorted out now, as he took hold of the shotgun, keeping it pointed away from everyone at all times.

"I'm sorry about the Impala...I shouldn't have...but it was my only way back in after being locked out" Sora said to Dean before anything else was done, he had to get that out first beforehand knowing how much trouble he was gonna be in during and after all this.


Sam

Sam let out a huge sigh of relief when Dean had caught Mika, he trusted him in doing it, but it was still a nerve wracking moment for him. He nodded down to Dean after he looked up, picking his shotgun back up again and heading down the stairs while Sora had come in talking to Dean.

As he reached the bottom of the stairs, it occured to him that while the spirit of Mika's dad was going to come back, things were still gonna be far from quiet until then, "Guys...we still have that other spirit around here at the moment" he said, and just as he finished he got knocked back halfway up the stairs, "Damn it!" Sam shouted. The other spirit was there determined to even the odds in this huge fight.

Dean and Mika

"She'll be fine" He said to Sora again, trying to reassure him that his friend will be okay. She'll get out this emotional breakdown of her system and be back in the game. He didn't know what made him think that, but he just had a feeling that was the sort of girl Mika was. She'd want to pay back everything her father did to her, that much he figured. Sam was the same when it came to their dad, so he figured she would be too.

He watched as Sora picked up the shotgun and keep it from being pointed at any of them. "Okay, like you said its aim and pull the trigger to fire, but watch for the kick, so keep your hands away from the safety. If not you're gonna get pinched and it will hurt like a bitch, got it?" He instructed Sora as best he could whilst trying to stay alert on everything happening. "Hey... not the time, I can fix her up." He said in response to Sora's apology. He was thankful for the apology but now really wasn't the time for kind words.

When Sam reminded him of the second spirit, he rolled his eyes, "I almost forg-" He began saying when Sam got shoved back up the stairs by the second spirit who seemed to want in on the action. "Sora shoot!" He commanded, as he did the only thing he could do which was run up the stairs with Mika and into her room. "Sam, Sora come on!!" He shouted, seeing the salt line at Mika's doorway still untouched, he knew they'd be safe there. He went to let go of Mika and put her on the bed, but she just clung to him. She shook her head dramatically in his chest, and he felt every turn of her head.

"Hey.. HEY! Listen to me.. it's gonna be okay, we're in your room and the door is salted, NOTHING can get you... trust me." He said to her, pushing her hair back which made her look up at him before sniffing and nodding, as she reluctantly let go of him and sat on the bed. "Sorry...." She mumbled, now feeling like an utter idiot and not like the strong person she always pretended to be. "Don't apologise. You have every right to be freaked out," He said to her.

"You don't understand... I dreamed that was gonna happen like that... years ago. I dreamt he tried to kill me in that way- he'd throw me over the bannisters of stairs and I'd fall down them and crack my head open...." She said to him, and that made Dean look at her in surprise. 'Who ARE you?' He thought.

Sora and Sam

Sora nodded to Dean's advice, adjusting his hands so they were where they should be when the second spirit had appeared and knocked Sam up the stairs. With Dean shouting to shoot, Sora didn't hesitate, turning towards the spirit, aiming as quick as he could before pulling the trigger. Somehow by a miracle, he got it, but he wasn't expecting the force back to be as much as it was going to be, making him fall back from his knelt down position onto his backside.

Sora was taken aback, he couldn't believe he managed to do that, before being snapped back to with Dean's shouting to hurry up, getting up quickly and rushing up the stairs, as Sam was getting up too and helping him up, making sure he was right behind Sora as they all entered the bedroom. "I did it...temporarily of course but...I did it" Sora said sounding exhausted.

"Hey..." Sam replied, patting Sora's back, "...you did good, first ever shot straight into them, should be proud" he finished with a slight smile before they both turned to see how Mika was and hearing how she had dreamt of the spirit's attempt of killing her before. "Those night terrors you had..." Sam said softly turning to Sora, "Did you know about that dream?".

"Well...yeah. Mika told me but we didn't exactly imagine it was gonna someday try to happen for real..." Sora replied as he went over to hug Mika while she clinged to Dean, it wasn't gonna be much comfort at the time but it was just his way of letting her know he was there for her. "Just...tell me there's a way to end all of this soon?"

Mika

She eventually let go of Dean's jacket, as even though she let go of him to sit on the bed, she was still clinging to the hem line of the jacket. It was her coping mechanism, she couldn't help it. She barely looked at any of the men in her room, even when Sam remembered her telling him she had night terrors, before asking if Sora knew about it.

She almost more freaked out that a night terror she had years ago was coming true. How is that even possible? She's not a psychic like Sam was, it's not possible surely? She let Sora hug her, but she was too stunned at what was happening to hug back, as the more she thought about it the more stunned she got about it. "I've got nothing left that belongs to him... apart from myself. I've watched enough to know what that means," She said, partly implying it meant she'd have to face her dad, and partly implying that she knew the way to kill him was to cut off the link the spirit is holding onto... and that link just so happened to be herself.


Dean

He looked down as he felt the hem of his jacket being played with, and noticed it was Mika doing the playing of the hem of his jacket. She actually looked adorable at that moment, but he felt so sorry for her feeling that scared. He had seen people be angry at their folks, but he had never seen someone be THIS scared of their blood relative. He couldn't imagine what her life must have been like when he was around. And he was feeling glad he didn't know what it was like for her.

He looked up as Sora said he knew about the dream to Sam, giving Sam a glance that said the had to get this finished...now. He watched as Sora hugged her, but her not hugging him back. He studied the body language between the two of them, but could only get the 'I'm too stunned to do anything' vibe from Mika and the protective side of Sora- he saw something was one sided though, when his thoughts were interrupted by Mika speaking up and practically implying they end her to end her father.

"What!? No! No, no-one is dying here today you hear me!?" He spoke back, not believing he was now hearing the self sacrificing speech from a girl. Yet, he knew they were screwed if she was the only link. "Then it's facing him o...on my own...." Mika said, slowly looking up at him. "Something I've never been able to do in my entire life..." Mika replied to him, and he just looked at her, straight in the eyes, seeing so much emotion in her eyes and noticing how her bright blue eyes went from bright to very dark navy- blending in with the navy color rim that her eyes had.

"We're gonna help, but believe me when I say this- no one in this house is gonna die. I won't let it happen." He recited again to her, putting his hands on either side of her face to make sure she looked at him, before just pulling her into him. "We'll help you get the courage," He said again, this time looking at Sora and Sam as he said that.

Sora

Not getting any hugs in return, Sora knew how scared and stunned Mika was feeling, he'd be feeling the same if it was his own father against him, certainly wasn't to the same level of extreme that Mika had gone through, but it was enough for him to fear and hate his own dad. And then Mika spoke up, saying of what she said would be the only way of ridding of him, by ending herself..., "No..." was all he could say...

For a moment, it felt like Sora's heart just stopped, it was the last thing he ever wanted to hear, Mika taking her own life, regardless of the fact it was to stop the spirit or not, he had hoped never to hear that from her lips. He got up and moved to the corner of the room facing away from everyone, trying to hold back any tears. He didn't wanna lose her in any sort of way, he cares more about her even more than his family she meant that much to him. Luckily Sora got snapped out of it when Dean blasted out not going to let her die.


Sam, Sora & Cas

Sora and Sam both looked on at Dean as he tried to talk sense into Mika, they all felt the same, no-one wanted anyone to die, and when Dean turned to face them saying we'll help give her the courage she needs, both Sam and Sora nodded and came in for group hug around Mika, whether she responded to it or not.

"We're all here for you Mika" Sam said before looking around "Cas?..." before seeing him standing awkwardly at the other end of the room, "You're in this too, right?"

"Yes, of course...but er...don't mind if I'm not in this group hug thing though, last time didn't end well..." Cas replied, still remembering the rejection he had when going to hug Sam. "Now...there is a way to stop this spirit without anyone dying, it'll require Mika standing up to the spirit of her father I'm afraid, but if we prove that he's no longer a fear to her and can no longer have a hold on her in any way, it'll be destroyed"

Sam had a slight smile, finally a plan worth doing, even if it was gonna be a tricky one, "That's good, now we just need to help Mika win over her fear."
