Hello everyone. Here's the OOC thread.
Backstory:

In the 103rd year of Meigo (2101), the war between Sankoku and Gvardea became a limited exchance of N2 weapons. These were fearsome explosive devices which were each 10 times more powerful than a nuclear bomb, minus the radiation. The reason the treaty against the use of these weapons was broken is widely debated. The Gvardeans universally blame Sankoku, while the Sankoku'ans are split on the issue. Some Sankoku'ans believe it's the Gvardeans' faults; others believe the government and/or military are to blame. The entire planet of Kaikyuu was sent reeling by the attacks.

The Sankoku'an President, Kiko Yamato, put official blame on the Army. The country split into two parts: The old and the new, so to speak. Those loyal to the President became Fuso. Those loyal to Supreme Commander Caitlin "Kit" Pendragon were part of Old Sankoku. Kit is the commanding officer of the Sankoku army and de facto leader of the old territories, and largely wants to avoid this civil war. She blames herself for not being able to prevent the nuclear exchange, believing it's her fault all those lives disappeared in a blink of an eye.

However, she can only hold up the tenative peace for so long, as resources are running dangerously low...

The Sankoku Army has holed up in an underground base constructed from a geo-front, due to the destruction wrought upon the surface.

The Supreme Commander has put out a call for Army troops to help protect the Geo-Front. You guys will be the soldiers.

-Physical Traits— Raizen's blood lacks the pigment in his blood that turns it from blue to red when oxygen touches it, so he bleeds blue. He has Mechanical Augmentations in his brain to give him a video game type hud. It gauges his health, gives him a limited mini-map, and keeps track of the bullets he has left and how many clips and grenades he has. His left hand has an steel augmented hand due to his previous one being blown off in a training exercise gone bad. His lungs are augmented to resist toxic and tear gases. His eyes have been replaced by mechanical ones to resist flashbangs and again, tear gas.
-Personality—Off duty, Raizen is a likeable guy. He is charismatic and humble. When on duty, he is forceful and often seems distance. It's like he can just shove his emotions to the side.
-Background—One night, a twenty and a twenty three year old got drunk. They subconsciously had sex, without protection. They had accidentally made a child. They had also made the best damned soldier ever. His parents weren't ready for a child, so they put him up for adoption. Raizen grew cold-hearted towards nearly everyone. With a poor education, and nothing else to live for, he joined the military. Free education and training gave Raizen all the motivation he needed. The military gave him a new life. And he will fulfill his orders, even if it means giving that life back.
-Other stuff—Back home, Raizen has a girlfriend, named Raxhi Kurejii. He also has a katana and gun collection. He was once the only soldier to come back on a search and destroy mission.

Background- Akira was born the youngest of 3. Her sister was in a paralyzing accident at a young age and her brother was born mentally disabled, so Akira always felt pressured for being the 'normal' child. Even before she understood how different she really was from her siblings, Akira excelled in athletics and academics. Akira was always closest to her grandfather, and she spent most of her childhood with him. He taught her everything he knew as a Lieutenant Colonel, and that help Akira to rank up quickly when she joined the military.
When she is in the presence of other military officials, Akira is described as the "perfect soldier". She is aggressive, loud, brave, and loyal, as well as exeptionally smart. But, around her brother and sister, Akira becomes a different person; quiet, soft, and caring.
Akiras eyes are actually cameras, attached to her brain in a way that they act as normal eyes. Her bionic eyes enble Akira to see thermal and nightvision, as well as normally. Also, Akira always wears her grandfathers dogtags along with her own, since he was the main reason she joined the military.

-Background: Rei was born to serve. His family are all within the forces. Meaning that was his career, even if he didn't want it so. Luckily enough, he was more than happy to join up. He wants to prove his worth to the supreme commander, and hopefully bring honor to his family name. Making them proud of him is his main goal. He offered himself to be put on the Geo-front. Seeing it as a good way to get himself seen, and promoted. He doesn't however, want this civil war to take place. Killing his own people isn't something a soldier dreams of. He only wants to protect and serve his country, his people. He would rather sort it out via peace and talks. Would only kill another Sankoku'an if it came down to "himself or them".
-Personality: Calm & Collective. Handles pressure well.

Mia and Renji watched as the transport VTOL slowly descended to the surface of the scorched earth. They stood among the ruins, pondering what the new soldiers would be like.

"We'd better get these folks down to the Geo-Front to see the Supreme Commander. We've got a lot of work ahead of us." Mia adjusted her uniform nervously. She hated wearing an officer's dress-uniform; she much preferred the flexible combat bodysuit she usually used.

"Mmh. Agreed." Renji sighed. "Namely, I have a lot of work to do. You know, all the paperwork. I get the feeling the Supreme Commander doesn't like me sometimes..."

Mia elbowed him to shut him up. The newbies were coming out of the plane, and she didn't want her fiance to make the rest of the officer corps look bad.

The ride along to the Geo-front. Rei looked at his fellow soldiers. Sizing them up in his mind. Who would be his rival out there in the field? Who would show him up?. And finally who to befriend? All these things, he thought. Were vital to know. To be able to impress his superiors. As this would become his new unit, his new home. He wanted himself, and them to be ready for this new deployment.

PFC Rei was on of the first soldiers off the plane. He paused, taking in his surroundings at the plane entrance. He spotted the two high-ranking soldiers awaiting their arrival. He approached the two. Standing at attention "Private First Class Rei Takumi, reporting for duty!" He shouted. Saluting as he spoke. He stood to attention until told otherwise.
