Recruitment Poster: The new Dawn of Kanorth: medieval realism RP

The fabled land on Kanorth, a continent of wealth. Kanorth has been ruled by a single large nation, the great empire of Vinngealos for centuries. But times never were kind to humanity, and the once great empire has fallen. The lands have been divided, and new countries arose out of the ashes of the dying beast. Cavenin to the East of the ancient capital of Vinngealos separated itself, and adapted the new social system known as feodality. They now hold the entire Eastern portion of the old empire, stretching from the coasts to the border mountains that once, many centuries before, separated both lands. Not much later, the Western wing of the empire won its independance, and the Kingdom of Asper was born. Between those 2 new lands, the remnants of the old empire try to make the best of it, living in the ruins of the past. To the South of the Great Rys sea, 2 old enemies recaptured their old lands, now the empire grew weak. Saeron, the desert people prey enviously on the It'oru islands that form a lid on the pot that is the Great Rys sea, and the Dunkarians once again descended from their cold mountainous lands, ready to dim the spread of their old arch-enemies, the Saeroneans. The Republic of Lyrin, the only neutral faction consisting mainly of mercenaries and traders, now has her own problems to deal with. Corruption has been feeding on its system for too long, and the once rich nation is now on the verge of collapsing.

Now, it has been 149 years since the fall of the empire, and tides are turning. Where generation after generation has failed to change the impasse, how will you fare?

Hello, I'm Roran Hawkins, the new head-GM of the almost extinct New Dawn of Kanorth RP.

This roleplay is mainly about the political and military warfare in a fictional Medieval land, with a good portion of characetr development. The roleplay was going pretty good untill our head-GM quit. He made me the new head-GM today, and I'm now looking for more people to join.

We're looking for more people, who will stay. We want new characters and perhaps I'll take over some key characters that were handled by the previous head-GM and other players, but if anyone wants to use some of those, PM m, and perhaps their previous owners aswell, for a heads-up to see what his/her plans with them were.

Thereby, this RP is a casual to high-casual roleplay, so at least some writing skill is required. Right now there is an urgent need for characters in Cavenin, because of the upcoming unrest in that land. We also need more people in Saeron and Vingealos because of the recent civil war, and how things have settled since then.

I read the OOC and I'm interested, but while the complexity and detail is what drew me, it also makes it a bit intimidating

Well the complexity is okay as your character initially knows few of it (unless you're one of the higher lords and ladies, that does that kind of stuff daily)

Right now there's 2 major conflicts going on, 1 in Saeron on the border near Dunkara and a larger one in Cavenin in Renni. Peace negotiaions for the civil war, Asper and Vinngealos will take place there on the 25th of december, about 3 or 4 days from current RP time.
