The two continued to walk, heading back to the barn. The two had been talking quite a bit, Sarah explaining the full limits of this strange curse. Much like her friend, this curse denied her a full death, and made her a bit like a walking statue. The whole thing made the girl feel awful sad, but was quick to change the subject. He seemed keen to make her smile, bringing up small stories from his childhood. He seemed so shy about his past, but some gentle coaxing seemed to work wonders.

"Well yes, everyone knew Lisa," Sarah answered. They had accidentally found a river on their little journey, and she was holding her shoes in hand, bare feet touching the grass. "Such a good woman, a good healer. I can't imagine what turned the town to her so. It breaks my heart."

She hit a rock in walking and tripped, falling back against him.

It took them awhile, as apparently there was a huge amount if supplies that were needed. While they had been out, Richter had taken a walk down the stair case. While he was out, he noticed a shadow move from the wall out of the corner of his eye. Just as he turned, the shadow was gone, and Vampire Killer wasn't reacting anymore. He let the moment pass, and waited for the others to return.

Maria was the first to come find him.

"Annette was always a little lazy as it was..." Maria continued. "And selfish really. Though I suppose it would be hard to be separated from your fiancee for so long."

He was surprised at how much he had opened up to Sarah. He wasn't much for talking, but it seemed as though the fact that he could relate to her, and that she was willing to open to him made him more willing. His childhood seemed to be the focus of most of the conversation. As much as Alucard tried to steer away from talking about his mother, she still came up. She was the one whom raised him through most of his childhood, although his father wasn't an absent one. Then Sarah brought up the fact that his mother was loved by all, and that Sarah herself wondered what would make all those people turn.

"My father is what made them turn." he said flatly then watched as they came up to a river and Sarah took her shoes off. She tripped, and while Alucard wasn't ready, he caught Sarah as she fell back, smiling a bit. He lightly stepped forward and reset her on her feet. His lips were very close to her ear as he spoke now, making sure she was stable on her feet.

"Watch your step, I'd hate to let you get hurt," he told her then lightly brought his hands off her. He wouldn't be stepping into that water.

"I can only imagine. I, myself, have never been in love, nor even considered a man worth my time. Killing demons? Now that's worth it!" Bella let out a laugh then lifted as many supplies as she could. "This may be a little rough carrying at first," she explained then walked inside the tavern. She smiled at Richter.

"Hello, Vampire Hunter, did you miss us?" she teased and winked, setting the supplies down. "Come get your supplies now, because I'm about to ravage it for all I need," she told the two then plopped down in a chair.

Sarah stared back up at him, captured for a few seconds by those liquid gold eyes. He was being so gentle with her; a true gentlemen. She smiled as he wondered off, floating off like a wraith in the night. He looked like he practically glowed...

She followed after him like a school girl, eager to talk more with him. As she dashed away, a shadow began to crawl along the grass after her, clawing at the strands of grass.

"Hmph." Was Richter's only response as he moved to the pack, pulling out two potions and one portion of the rations. He situated it in his own bag, situating Vampire Killer on his hip. Just as he looked down, he noted the claw like shadow dancing by his boot. As he saw it, the creature hissed and vanished in the cvracks of the wooded floor. He narrowed his eyes, seeing the leather on his weapon visibly glow.

"There's something here..." he alerted the others, straightening up.

"What?" Maria looked up, surprise. "Where?"

Alucard tensed up and felt something in his stomach churn. 'I know that feeling... something unholy is here...' he thought then stopped walking, grabbing his sword, and turning towards Sarah. He looked at her, then grabbed her arm, a little roughly then pulled her close. He drew his sword and pushed Sarah behind him.

"Stay close." he said rigidly. His golden eyes scanned the area and saw a shadow quickly approaching. Pulling a small vile of holy water from his pocket, he slammed it on the ground, causing it to light in a green flame that was right on top of the shadow. The shadow reared up off the ground, and hissed menacingly at Alucard. Alucard did not flinch, but his breathing seemed to slow as a crisp breeze blew his cape to the side. The red and black shimmered as the cape fluttered.

"Sh!" Bella snapped at Maria, seeing Richter's weapon glow. Bella then pushed off the ground silently, and landed on the bar. She then bent down and grabbed her weapon of choice from under the bar. It was a long red bladed sword, with a tip bigger than the base. She looked to Richter and raised her eyebrows, telling him to weed out whatever was there.

The creature reared up and hissed, steam pouring off it's black skin. It formed a semi-female like figure as it reared it's head back up, a female chest pertruding out of it, feminine hips curling up. The creature might have been beautiful, if not for the razor sharp teeth and blood red eyes. The shadow creature ducked it's head and the Sarah held back a scream. The red eyes were several thousands of eyes, and more teeth than a human mouth should ever hold.

"All that is unholy shall rise with the master...." it hissed, it's voice sounding like five people speaking in an echo-chamber.

The woman sprouted more claws from her back, white and dripping with liquids best left alone. The creature growled and lunged at the cursed prince.

The look she gave him made him pause for a moment, quirking a brow. What was he, glorified pest control.

"And you complain about my weapon..." he said, spinning around long enough to wrap Vampire Killer around one enemy that sprung from the ceiling, and flung it smack straight into one behind the tables. He'd heard of the Killage blade being top-heavy, but that...that was a new one.

One jumped up behind him, and he spun around, pinning it to the back wall with three daggers.
