Name: Kenta Chemrick

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Strait

Pokemon: Charizard

Origin: X-human

Personality: Kenta is more of a realist than anything else. He has goals he likes to strive for, and he believes in hard work to achieve said goals, putting on his serious face and using determination to get what he desires. But he also knows when life has done him in, and after coming to such terms, it can be hard to get back up. In short, he sets manageable goals and goes for them, but he can take a hint at when a situation is hopeless.

Bio: Like many, he began his Pokemon journey at age 10. His first Pokemon was a Charmander, as something special drew him to that choice. While his Charmander grew slowly, that didn’t stop him from becoming a tough and determined Pokemon trainer over the years. He captured only the best and the brightest that stuck out from the rest, but still treated all Pokemon he did catch with kindness and respect. Through his training, his Pokemon grew to powerful levels, and, he even began to develop a bit of a name for himself as he rose through the ranks.

Things changed, though, when his Charmeleon finally evolved to its final form. After the trainer battle Kenta’s Pokemon had won ended, the sight of the Pokemon he’d had for so long finally evolve into a Charizard awoke the dormant Gijinka spirit within him, transforming him into his Gijinka form.

Things spiraled downhill shortly after this, as the opposing trainer he’d just battled ran away fearfully, calling Kenta a freak and a monster. Confused, it took him a moment to even realize the Pokemon appendages he’d just magically sprouted, and then he went into a panic- running into the nearest town for lack of anywhere else to go, only to cause an uproar and eventually be chased out by a team of hunters who were sent in to take care of him. Suddenly, he was an outcast. He’d lost contact with civilization, family and friends, and essentially his whole human life.

All was not lost, however, as despite what had happened his Pokemon team still stuck by his side. His team at the time being Absol, Larvitar, (shiny) Pidgeotto, Azumarill, Arbok, and of course the newly-evolved Charizard (the rest of his extended Pokemon collection would’ve wound up in the hands of whoever cleans out abandoned Pokemon PC boxes, as being able to gain access to a Pokemon storage system was no longer an option). And on top of that, his Charizard, the Pokemon he’d had the longest, he could now understand and communicate with like a human being. They were on a whole new level of closeness.

So now, Kenta’s just desperately trying to figure out a new life for himself, after his old one was left in shambles.

Moves: Having only turned Gijinka fairly recently, he can produce a weak Ember at best. Charizard’s been trying to teach him Fly but… no.

Name: Cathrine

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Unknown

Pokemon: Gastly

Origin: Hatchling

Personality: Cathrine is a mischievous spirit, always playing pranks on people- particularly the visitors to Pokemon Tower. She never really reveals herself to them, though, just lurks, and does whatever she can to mess with people’s heads. Quite the prankster. Because of this, she is always looking for ways to improve her techniques, and often practices using her powers on whomever’s around (when no humans are available, her Pokemon friends are often willing sparring partners). She’s also very close to and quite loyal to the Pokemon that live in the tower, as they have been her family for basically her whole life.

Bio: A hatchling whose egg was formed in Pokemon Tower, young Cathrine was raised by the Pokemon inhabiting it, and, for the most part, lived very much like them, learning to behave much like one would expect from a ghost (see above). She didn’t really know what a Gijinka was, what she was, or why she existed, but she was content.

By the time she was 7, though, someone new and unexpected arrived at the Pokemon Tower- another Gijinka, a Sableye, seeking refuge from hunters. While, at first, the native Pokemon were protective of Cathrine- not letting her go near him, and trying to fend the being off, he was eventually accepted, and, as he and Cathrine were about the same age, the two ghost Gijinka were raised together almost as twins. They live together in Pokemon Tower to this day, without any knowledge of Elysian City, or any Gijinkas other than themselves.
