Rai. Noticed your post-count is still fairly low. Go join some other threads. The people here are nice, as a whole, and won't likely shoo you away just because you're new here. There are plenty of genres and universes RPd on this site. Surely you can find on to your liking.

Perhaps invite Dark here and we can maybe revive the old Castle Dravinas setting and universe?

Raiken mockingly he wears robes similar to shinigami, as a slight on them and to put them off a little during fights, the only difference being he has opted for divided umanori rather than the traditional undivided andon bakama worn by the Gotei 13. His top also has a hood which he often wears up.



The small section of his hollow mask is located just above his left eye. It has some of the black markings visible as well, however his hair hides it fairly well. His tattoo can be found in the middle of the back of his neck.

Raiken is usually deep in thought, even during a battle he may pause to reflect on the events so far, regardless of how fast his enemy is advancing on him. His motives are never clear and often he does things that make people question his allegiance to certain causes. When he speaks, his voice is calm no matter what the situation, and his manners never falter, he is polite without reason, and will always oblige to help when asked.

Cero – Raiken has the ability to fire a cero from either hand, with his left hand producing a black cero and his right hand producing a green/blue spiral one.

Gran Rey Cero – Raiken has the ability to fire both his cero at the same time creating a gran rey cero. Quite a draining ability and he rarely uses it.

Sonido - As the 2nd Espada, Raiken is very proficient in the use of Sonído. Even in his unreleased state, he is able to keep up with high level captains in their released form.

Descorrer – the ability to open a Garganta between the living world and Hueco Mundo.

Hierro - As the second Espada, Raiken has the passive ability known as Hierro. Raiken's Hierro is strong enough to effortlessly block the sharp edge of a released Shikai blade with his bare hand, as well as being able to grab weaker Bankai blades, blocking it with his bare hand and receiving no damage.

Pesquisa - He can detect targets from a considerable distance.

Before becoming a hollow Raiken was an up and coming field doctor during American Revolutionary War, with a intense interest in self defence and ancient Far East history. He was originaly from Great Britain but work freelance once he reached the collonies. His work was always controversial and it was no surprise he had enemies, patching up patriots and british a like. He didn't however expect to find himself waking up in the wastes of Hucceo Mundo. His supposed work colleague, actually a templar spy placed by the secret order, had slit his throat in his sleep. A quiet, peaceful way to go, yet none the less Raiken was overcome with rage at being crossed like that. Raiken had been working on novel new treatments that pushed the boundaries of medical science at that time. He was getting troops back into action quicker than any other field hospital could and his reputation always proceeded him because if it. His anger consumed him as he spent time alone dwelling on this fact. Little is known about Raiken's time in Hucceo Mundo as he tends to keep himself to himself. Prior to becoming an espada all that is really known is he used to roam Hucceo Mundo, fighting and defeating tougher and tougher enemies, however he has never really gave a reason why. He scarcely made incursions to the real world, having been once when he came across a human who had tried to fight him. After a fierce battle a shinigami had turned up and grievously wounded Raiken, at which point he retreated and in Hucceo Mundo he stayed.

Name: Fōruntsu (Fallen One)

Raiken's sword is similar to the one in the picture except, his sword is broken off about half way, leaving the blade itself deceptively much shorter than its sheath. He fights right handed.

Heiwa, Fōruntsu (Peace, Fallen One) To complete the release Raiken thrusts the broken sword through his abdomen, as it emerges from his back the section which was missing is now complete.

Enhanced Hierro: Raiken's Hierro receives an augmentation, being able to withstand a point-blank cero from lower level Espada without noticable injury.

Enhanced Speed & Agility: Complimenting his already impressive speed and power, Raiken's released state augments his speed somewhat over his original, however when fighting against captains using bankai this is far less noticable.

Enhanced Strength: His strikes pack enough power to incidentally destroy large skyscraper-sized pillars in Las Noches via collateral damage during the fights with Menos.

Kinkō (equilibrium) – Raiken's resurreccion has two parts, defensive and offensive. Kinko takes into account both of these factors. Floating just behind him are 3 red circles with symbols in. As he both deals and takes damage these charge, with the left circle representing damage dealt, the right damage received and the centre being an overflow for both. Kinko only takes into account attacks which deal a large amount of damage to Raiken (ie causing bleeds). As the circles charge the tattoos also spread across his body. Once charged Raiken can release a devastating attack in which he wraps his cero around his blade before either firing it or attacking with the sword. Wrapping it around the blade allows him to pour reishi into it once more re-enforcing the strength behind it.

Kyōsei suru (force) – Raiken's main offensive technique. His sword splits into two, with one of them fighting seemingly of its own accord. While Raiken holds the original the second sword assaults his target relentlessly with out worry of getting hit. Hits from the Kyōsei suru sword do not charge Kinkō.

Tsuyomeru (reinforce) – Raiken's main defensive technique. Raiken forms a body length shield on his left arm. This increases the damage he can take exponentially, having been able to withstand several high level cero and even a gran rey cero without injury. However, it severely limits his movement speed and his agility, and can drain a large amount of his reiatsu if he uses it for long durations. As he takes less damage it means his Kinkō ability does not charge when he is using it.

Just one question, Renj. How is he so ridiculously powerful at such a relatively young age? Grimmjow was only rank 6 and he was several centuries old if I remember correctly. That's really my only beef with the sheet. The history is a bit short, but enough to paint a fairly clear picture. And the rest of it is very good.

I'll likely approve it as soon as you reply with a fairly logical answer.

See I did spend an age debating how old he would actually be. I wanted the back story to be logical with his age (Unlike one of the captain sheets I've seen where he was 3000+ but a nuclear physicist before dying...) I was going to play on a similar loop hole to the one Isshin used to allow Ichigo to train to achieve Mugetsu. I'm sure there would be Vasto Lorde in Hucceo Mundo (or who ever you've got in charge of the Espada at this time) who would know something of a loop hole like that. I have an alternate history in mind if you would prefer?
