Takashi Jin looked at the man in back who appeared to be challenging him. Jin was not the noble man who is going to spend his entire day dedicating his time to avenging these poor souls that have been blown to dust practically. The thing that Jin was going to spend his day doing was to prove that he is the strongest fighter in the land no matter who opposes him. Jin noticed that this man seemed to look half dead so fighting him with a weapon would be boring and rather pointless. He took his Bokken and threw the weapon onto the debris over to his right. Just as Jin threw his weapon down, the man sheathed his blade.

Jin was not going to hold anything back in this fight. He positioned himself into a karate stand right before rushing at his foe. As he ran closer he noticed that this man not only did not move but went ahead with an attack from a standstill position like he did not want to move. The man swung his sheathed sword at Jin as the distance between the two decreased. This attempt would have damaged Jin if he did not cut away from his foes reach and ducked down to see that the attack was made in a defensive stance to keep Jin away rather than to strike him. Jin rolled away into a somersault and positioned himself about fifty meters away from this man. Jin plunged his foot onto a nearby corpse as he looked at the situation.

Why did I run away from his blade. It is not like I have never been hit before. To top it off he was not in a condition to fight. It couldn't do that much damage to me. So why do I have this bad feeling about that weapon like it is not an ordinary blade. Jin thought. Then a smile crossed his face as his hair began to rise up to nearly the straightest it could get. Jin knew exactly the kind of move he would need to use on this man. Jin began rushing this man from the same stance and running at him just as he had done before. His eyes gazed at this guy as he swung his blade to repel Jin away just as he had done the last time. Right as Jin was about to enter this man's range, Jin cut to the side to run in a perfect circle around this guy for a good five perfect rotations before he moved in to strike. The man looked confused because he could barely move and was having a hard time keeping up with Jin's speed. When Jin was far enough ahead of this man to gain his back, then he dashed up to the stranger and raced right at his back side "Arrrggghhh" Jin cried as he aimed a right hook at this man's back.

This strike was not intended to end the battle and Jin knew that. This strike was only to prove that this man could not simply hold his position all day and expect to be immune to Jin's strikes. "Argh! bastard" The man yelled as he rolled over and got back on his feet. It was evident that thius man did not view Jin as anything more than a nuisance. However Jin could change that when he beat this man back to his first life. That was easier sad than done because that awkward feeling blade was going to need to be out of the way before he could pound this guy down.

Jin decided that his running and speed tactic was working even though he was feeling a tad bit gassed out after that long sprint against this man. This was not the time for him to start feeling weak and giving up because he just came from a bar and then ran your way here. Jin rushed right at this man for this third and hopefully finally time. He ran until he was about to cut around this man's range of motion until he noticed that this ran had changed his stationary position to a walk and sliced Jin's shoulder with his weapon. Jin cried out in pain as he darted off to the side and kept his distance from this man. This guy was not as useless in battle as he first appeared to be. That only thing wrong with this situation was why did hit feel so much more painful than being sliced up by a regular knife. This weird sense against the weapon must have been dead on because a sheathed weapon should not have numbed up his shoulder especially from a wounded man.

Damn him, I didn't think that someone moving in his beat up condition would be able to fight back. Know that I think of it he did not even look like he was swinging that thing with all of the force he could. That means at full power he should have been able to take my arm off if he fought with the blade making this one of the most exciting battles I have had in a while. Now how to get around it Jin thought as he noticed the man was calling out to him. "Kid, I can see your in pain and I don't want to do this anymore so what do you say about calling it a draw?" The man has inquired. Jin looked up to this guy and stated his opinion: "Hell no, this battle is way too much fun." With that sentence Jin's once wavy hair appeared to be sticking up in straight spikes. Jin dashed over to grab his bokken and began to wield his blade. He didn't think that this beat up man would be able to give him such a fight. As Jin picked up his weapon his foe had pulled the sheathe off of his weapon. Now it is time to be serious was the thought that went through both of their heads.

    -- Gunki Hiroto

Frustration. That was the feeling in Hiroto when not only one, but two comrades were taking on the fight he commenced and fighting over it. He had to admit, although not out loud, that especially Miyuuki disappointed him. However, there was no time to dwell on small issues like this one.

”I’ll carry the victim myself, then, in search of the doctor. If any of you comes to your senses, I could use some help!” Hiroto shouted over their voices authoritatively as he turned to the wounded woman. ”Don’t worry, I will help you. If you need anyone to talk to, talk to me” Hiroto spoke gently to the woman before lifting her over his shoulder. She was small enough, the weight not causing any physical stress in his body. ”Little girl, please lead me onwards. I will stand between you and the lawless before us, do not worry” he told the girl, and they were on their way.

The alleyways were silent, so silent it was nerve-wracking. Hiroto knew, even if only intuitively so, that there were enemies everywhere. Anywhere. In addition, he had the responsibility of keeping the two civilians safe – the woman and the child. The girl led them left and right, up stairs and down slopes. Rukongai was a labyrinth even for the most familiar. The fact that the girl knew the way was very impressive. The mood was getting even calmer and tenser at the same time, as if something was about to burst. It seemed however, that something had already burst.

The group soon came to a scene with debris and dust floating, witnessing of another explosion – one that was deep enough within Rukongai that it had gone unnoticed. Hiroto was momentarily torn – duties called, but at the same time he felt a deep responsibility to check the scene. If not him, who else? With a swift decision, he turned, reassuring the others that it would be a quick detour. However, it didn’t turn out to be a detour at all.

”There, you’re all healed up and ready” said a stern, female voice. It did not belong to any of the people Hiroto was protecting. As they walked closer to the origin of the sound, a figure became clear, slightly crouching over a seated figure. The person in the seat was an ordinary fisherman – nothing much to notice. The slightly crouching figure, on the other hand, was a different story. She wasn’t particularly tall or short, and looked like a woman in her thirties, but healthy. Her black kimono had a silken pattern in the same charcoal hue, making it only slightly visible as branches and berries. Over her kimono she wore a doctor’s coat. She wore glasses and some of her hair was oddly violet. She met Hiroto’s eyes for just a moment before the little girl ran forward.

“Aunt Ekika!” she shouted and embraced her. ”There’s a wounded lady, and she seems to be fading. Could you help her?” the girl asked. Hiroto lay the woman down on the ground before the doctor, reaching for her hand. ”Doctor Chirochiro, I presume? I am Gunki Hiroto, a shinigami recruit. I was wondering if…” Hiroto started saying, introducing himself before getting interrupted by the doctor. ”Slow down, Gunki-san. Let me introduce myself” she said softly, yet strictly. Hiroto didn’t know how to respond. ”I am Doctor Chirochiro Ekika, you can call me Dr. Chirochiro if you please” she continued, and then sank to the level of the victim. Hiroto crouched a bit to get a view of it all.

“I can heal this, but it will take some time” Dr. Chirochiro said, before shifting her eyes towards the route from which Hiroto and the others had emerged. ”However, I sense something. Brace yourself, Gunki-san” she said alarmingly. Just as she pointed it out, footsteps could be heard. Just as a silhouette emerged from the shadows, the doctor made a movement with her hand, a spark of chaotic energy emerging from it and striking the opponent in the face, his skin instantly swelling. However, more footsteps could be heard after him. ”Gunki-san, if I may ask, I need your protection. This woman cannot wait any longer” the doctor said. Her hand hovered over the wound as a glimmering light embraced the hand and poured down on the wound. Hiroto was stunned to see this kind of sorcery, but hadn’t time to make a remark.

”I will protect you. Even if my life is at stake, I will not let them touch even a strand of your hair” Hiroto said seriously, widening the space between his legs in a stable, defensive stance. This was it – his time to prove himself.

    Damn it...

Aoshi had had great hopes for his idea to end the fight right then and there. One good hit and then it would all be over and they could share a drink or something...
"You can still run away, your friends are right down that road, let them take care of this lunatic."
"Not with these legs, and you don't seem to have any to spare. Hopefully he'll make a mistake and I can put him down. Though he is a strange one, I don't think this one is related to that other guy... It just doesn't feel right."
"I could find out, if you cut him."
    "How would that help?"
"I was buried in the other guy when he activated some kind of ability tied to his tattoo. I'm surprised you didn't sense it. However, either you can rip the clothes of this one or cut him so that I can see if the same reiatsupattern is present in him."
Aoshi didn't have to think for long, after all, it was probably considered as some sort of faux pas to go around and tear the clothes off of people in the name of the Shinigami. He pulled the sword out of its sheath and presented it to his opponent who had taken the opportunity to fetch his bokken. He was really planning to fight a zanpakutou with a wooden sword? Aoshi couldn't decide if the man was uncommonly brave or stupid... Perhaps a combination.

They stood still and watched each other for a second, looking for openings. Then the man charged again, head on, just like he'd done before. He'd try to cut sharply to one side at the last possible moment and use his superior speed to work his way around and strike at the back. Not much you could do about it, a punch from the little bastard hurt like hell, a hit with a bokken could break bones.
Aoshi readied himself and raised his arm. The guy came fast and when he entered Aoshi's range the big man sent his sword toward him in a horizontal arch. Both of them had expected it and the bokken intercepted the zanpakutou long before it could reach the smaller man. The zanpakutou dug itself into the wooden sword about a quarter of the way in. It was apparent to both combatants that the fight could not go on for long. As their weapons locked so did their eyes. The old man looked into the soul of the young, and saw his passion burning. They pushed against each other, but seemed evenly matched, a fact that only further fuelled the youngling's elation.
Aoshi pushed harder and harder as the young man matched him step by step until at last his abused and damaged muscles couldn't stand it any longer. He dropped his guard completely and instinctively the small man acted.
He flicked the zanpakutou away wildly and came back to a fighting stance while Aoshi was still wide open. The smaller man kicked off the ground and brought all of his weight with him as he slammed the bokken across Aoshi's head.
He landed and spun around just in time to see the big man collapse.

    The fight was over.
Aoshi's head felt like it was going to burst and his vision was so blurred that all he could see of his opponent was a dark shadow and something yellow around the middle.
    "You win... Happy?"
"No, not really. I thought you'd be a bigger challenge than that."
"Sorry to disappoint you... I did blow up just before you got here though... Speaking of which... My friends should be just a bit down that road, tell them I'm here will you?"
"Why should I? ... Any strong ones over there?"
"Well..." Aoshi stopped and thought for a minute, to give away your friends locations to a possible enemy could be bad...
"He's not one of them, you know that, and he does want a fight... Perhaps he can be of some use..."
"Yeah, there is one really strong guy. And if you beat him you've still got the captain who's even stronger. I'll tell you what he looks like..."

A minute later the small man was just about to leave when he spotted Aoshi's zanpakutou on the ground next to the big man.
"So, I'll go and beat the crap out of him too, and I'll take your sword to do it." he said as he bent down to grab the zanpakutou.
"No..." Aoshi said with calm confidence. "No you won't. She won't like it."
"Yeah? What are you gonna do abou-"
The smaller man's eyes widened was drawn to the blade, less than a second later he dropped it like it was scorching hot and moved away a few paces.
    "What the hell!?"
"I told you so... She didn't like it..."

    Endo Yasuhito
    -The predictability of Stupidity-

"Out of my way, Yasuhito-san. As much as I appreciate your intent, I'm going to fight her. Sit back and enjoy the show. I'll call if I need help." The two were in a tough spot, an unknown attacker appearing whilst they needed to find the doctor, something sinister was obviously happening but in the midst of all that was coming to light Miyuuki wanted to showboat. "Child." Yasuhito muttered under his breath, sheathing his sword and walking past the other initiate.
Watching Hiroto and the other's disappear through the alleyways Yasuhito followed leaving Miyuuki to fight.

Hiroto had found the doctor but unfortunately they were in a more perilous position that before. Many more of the cloaked attackers were making their way towards the young upstart, swathing their way through the dust towards the brave Shinigami. A sword was hoisted high in the air, ready to strike down but before it could land the sound of metal on metal rebounded around everyone's ears. Yasuhito had joined the fight.

Kicking the cloaked man in the side throwing him off balance Yasuhito took to the side of Hiroto, Sword drawn and in hand he was slightly out of breath as it took more effort to catch up to the group than he expected. "Hiroto," Yasuhito said calmly, his eyes fixed on the group of attackers that ran closer each second. "Don't die." before he could hear a response Yasuhito launched forward himself to tackle the closest of the cloaked soldiers, parrying his blade before powering his knee into the her stomach.

The fight was going to be a difficult one but Yasuhito trusted the initiate by his side, and he was confident that the two would be able to defeat the ensuing attackers, because if they failed. Innocent lives would be at stake, and at least to Yasuhito, that was unacceptable.

    Riku Hana

Riku looked at the group of attackers as Dr. Chirochiro as she started to heal her. Were the shinigamis seriously going to fight? The odds were heavily against him, and it would be easier for him just to run, but he widened his stance as if to fight them all.

"Doctor..... what do you make of these 'shinigami'? I've never seen anyone stand up against the chaos and live."

Riku felt the pain in her side start to subside as the doctor's healing went into her body.

These shinigami had saved her life, maybe.... maybe they could protect everyone. If Riku had been stronger earlier, then maybe, she wouldn't have had so much pain. She had given up the fight as hopeless along of time, and now, she felt something, something new. For the first time in years, Riku felt a feeling she hadn't felt in a long time.... hope. That maybe not everyone in the Rukongai wasn't in as hopeless a situation as she had thought. Hope that she could be come stronger, and hold her own destiny.

It was worth a shot. Just a bit of this feeling was better than all the years she had spent just surviving. It was then she made up her mind. She was going to join them. She was going to make a difference to the Rukongai, and she was going to live as she saw fit rather than as fate dictated. She would struggle for power too.

    Asa Hinode

The interrogation did not went well. The man was completely reluctant to talk, and Asa was not the one to use brute strength to get answers from him. After a few minutes, he decided he would take the man with him and let the ones in charge talk to him back at the Shinigami Headquarters. They will be able to make him talk, one way or another, but that was beyond his competence. They would get the answers they needed, and he wont feel guilty for overdoing things. But still, how would he get the man back ? He doubted he would just walk calmly with him. He looked at the piece of cloth attached to his belt, the one he used as the improvised sheath for his sword until now. He reached for it and made the man turn, then he knelt on his back, making sure to prevent him from making any kind of escape attempt, as he tightly tied up his hands. Once that was done, he made him to stand up, and nodded his head towards where they ran from. They started to head back to the site of the explosion.

Strangely, the men put up no resistance at all. That was a bit strange to Asa. A man who was about to kill him a few minutes ago, now calmly walks on his orders. He somehow doubted it was because of his defeat. No. There was something different in it. As he was thinking about it, he saw a larger group of similarly dressed man in front of him, running towards the explosion site. And then, the man spoke up. " That´s it. You´re friends are done for. There is no chance for them to ... " was all he managed to say, before Asa knocked the man out with the hilt of his sword, letting his body fell to the ground, knocked unconscious. He started to run after the group that just passed before him, hoping to catch up with them, but it took him a minute or two. By the time he caught up, he saw the caped men to attack Hiroto and Yasuhito ... his fellow Shinigami. And it was his chance to do something to protect them.

Without any hesitation, he started to run towards the battle in front of him, taking advantage of his position in the rear of the enemy. This time, he cast aside his reservations, These men were about to kill his comrades, and that was something he could not allow to happen. He stabbed one of the attackers in his leg, and as the man fell to the ground, he kicked him in his back, taking him out of the fight for good, but that was all he could do with his advantage, as another attacker has noticed him, and immediately welcomed him with a hard slash, forcing him to block it with sword, engaging in a lock with the opponent. After a few seconds, he pushed the blade a bit forward, then he pulled back, dodging the opponents counterattack by a millimeter and hitting his stomach with his knee. He doubted that would be enough to knock him out, but it will buy him some time. Using that, he spoke up.

    " Hiroto - san ! Yasuhito - san ! Are you allright ? "

"You're not the monster fox anymore. You're one of my team-mates from Konoha… Kurama."

"You guys piss me off so badly that I can't even express it in words… So I'll just tell you something about me… I'm no trash!! And I'll never become trash!! And I won't let you kill my comrades!!"

Yasuhito scolded her, but she didn't care. If it was childish to want to be the one doing the fighting, then so be it. She called it a healthy sense of competitiveness though. Which was also needed to get stronger. You remained weak if you didn't have the drive to be stronger than the other people you knew. "Seems we're all alone again~" Miyuuki mused, grinning widely. Time to see how she measured up against enemies that were specifically after people like her. Or what she was soon to become. The woman charged forwards, no caring that she didn't have any weapons. Her legs and feet were her weapons. She jumped up, kicking the woman as hard as she could. However she managed to block the attack with her scroll. It was expected though, and Miyuuki followed up with a second attack. This time she ducked low and kicked at the woman's feet to try and unbalance her. This time it did have success. Her opponent toppled over and fell to the ground. However when she tried to punch the woman in the face she blocked it with the scroll again. "Damn scroll!" Miyuuki exclaimed, grabbing it with her hand.

A struggle started between the two, one trying to keep their weapon, and the other to yank it away and throw it out of reach. However then came a second scroll. She had two? This was bad... Miyuuki quickly jumped back just before she got hit, and frowned. "Two now? You won't go down easy, huh..." She muttered, charging once again. This time her opponent had the upper hand though. When she attacked on one side it was blocked by the scroll, and then the second scroll came to hit her other side. And even when she blocked properly the weighted things hurt.

"Now you're asking for it..." Miyuuki growled. She took some distance between her and her enemy, assessing the situation around them. There were environmental objects she could use to her advantage. Good. She grinned and ran for the buildings closest to her. This was her home turf, sort of speaking. So that alone already gave her an advantage. The woman followed, good. She slowed down a little, allowing her opponent to catch up. Then when she was almost close enough to attack Miyuuki jumped up between the walls of the building, using them as leverage to get high enough to jump over her opponent and let her pass under her. "Time to lose, scroll-woman!" Miyuuki exclaimed, suddenly going on the offense again by dropping down and attacking the woman from behind.

Her most powerful attack hit it's mark. A jumping, double kick to the back. It was risky as it left you open afterwards, but it was also very strong if it did hit, putting her entire weight behind the kick. The woman screamed in pain, getting thrown a few feet away and hitting the ground. She wasn't out yet though, so Miyuuki kep on her attacks, kicking and punching the woman on the ground a few times to make sure she stayed down. Then she took away all the scrolls she had and tossed them far away. Heavily panting, and feeling quite drainer now, the trainee could finally take a breath. Her whole body was bruised it felt like, but that wasn't something new. All she needed was a good rest and a herbal healing salve or some such. Then she'd be ready for another day tomorrow again.

    -- Gunki Hiroto

It was a relief that Yasuhito joined the fight, as two minds are always wiser than one. As Yasuhito drew his sword, Hiroto couldn’t help but feel a bit of envy. Hiroto only had the zanpakuto’s sheath, something he saw as quite useless. Still, he grabbed it in his hand, ready to use it in the name of divine justice.

The first man who lay his eyes on Hiroto quickly brought a small scroll to view, and rolled it out. The scroll had words written on it, words that seemed to form some sort of chant, although he couldn’t quite focus on it in the heat of battle. As the opponent’s hand touched the ink, the writing started glowing and within moments, a burst of flames were thrown towards Hiroto.

Just like the fantastical capabilities of Dr. Chirochiro which Hiroto had seen, this baffled him. He had never seen magic like this before – practically no one had seen this before. It was at least as supernatural as the art of the zanpakuto. The flames couldn’t be completely dodged, the cloth of Hiroto’s haori catching fire around his left shoulder. He quickly put the flames out. The foe’s scroll had burned to ashes, and he was just about to grab another from his sack. Hiroto would have to stop him.

He lunged forward, thrusting the tip of the sheath in the enemy’s face. A crackling sound came from the man’s nose, and it was obviously broken. He squealed, but was quickly interrupted by a blow to the stomach, which after he collapsed. One man down!

As Hiroto looked up, he noticed another had joined the fray – it was Asa. He also had his zanpakuto. Hiroto couldn’t help but think about how he wanted his own. Unfortunately, he thought about that a bit too long, and found himself knocked unconscious by an explosive pulse from another enemy’s scroll. His body was thrown away, into a corner.

”Useless piece of garbage” said a deep, terrifying voice, a voice that Hiroto recognized. It was his own soul – the armored giant. ”You managed to knock out a single bastard, and then you get your ass kicked by a guy with a scroll. A word comes to mind – Pathetic” he said. Hiroto knew he was in his spirit realm now. The feudal battleground was as depressing as always. Hiroto cleared his throat, and quickly answered; ”Sorry, but I need to get out of here. I have a job to do” he said. The giant laughed, his helmet bursting with the demeaning sound. ”They don’t need you anyway, weakling. You’re usele- …” the soul started saying before Hiroto interrupted him with a swift swing with the sheath. ”That wasn’t a question” Hiroto threatened.

The armored spirit drew his sword – Hiroto’s zanpakuto – but Hiroto’s dedication did not waver. This battle was not something for his own sake, to gain control of his zanpakuto. That would be shallow. He simply wanted to get out of his spirit realm, and help where he was needed the most. The spirit slashed vertically, Hiroto leaping out of its way and avoiding damage. The leap was a risky move though, Hiroto not being agile enough to maneuver in the air. The giant thrusted towards a weak spot, and Hiroto just managed to block it with his sheath. With steady feet, Hiroto hit the beast in the lower stomach with his elbow, but to no avail. A punch sent Hiroto flying and crashing to the ground. ”You fight as if you’re brain-dead, idiot. Do you think an elbow can pierce steel like this?” the spirit mocked, probably grinning under his helm.

”Shut up” Hiroto said with a tone of honor and stability. He approached the monster again and swung the sheath in the same way as before. The giant did a vertical slash in the same way as previously. ”Old tricks…” the deep voice growled. As if a replay of the first phase of battle, Hiroto leaped out of the way. The spirit thrusted his sword towards Hiroto, but he was ready for this. ”…never work” Hiroto said, continuing the sentence the spirit had started. He positioned his sheath so that the sword slid into the opening, the blade rendered blunt. Hiroto jerked the sword out of the giant’s hand. ”There’s no shame in trying again and again, as long as you win eventually. A stubborn victor is still a victor” Hiroto lectured the spirit. The giant laughed one last time, Hiroto proceeding back to reality with the laughter bursting in his ears.

He was quick up on his feet again, knowing that seconds mattered. Hiroto picked up the sheath again, but this time it was heavier. He looked down on it, and saw his zanpakuto’s grip sticking out of the sheath. ”Finally…”

Takashi Jin continued down the road that was specified by that older man laying down back there. This road was just as beaten up and destroyed as the one that carried him to his selective battlefield with his friend he had left behind. He saw various races of dead souls who were suffering from the destruction of this area who had not managed to leave for some strange reason. Jin almost had an urge to scream at them to get the hell out of here but that was not his duty. Why was he even beginning to have urges like a darn saint. Talking to that guy and that family who gave him that bokken must be messing him up badly. He knew that he better hurry up and find this man he was going to fight and then leave before he decides to fight for world peace or something.

When he thought of things that were painful for him he looked right at his shoulder. It was not his dominant arm's energy reserves but that did not mean in another fight he could not be taken advantage of because he had a rather painful would on him. Come to think of it he was searching for the superior of the man who inflicted this would so that looking for this man might involve him hurting himself to a degree higher. Heck, this land might as well be his grave with the weapons that these shinigami seem to possess. Then again, who the hell cares. This fight was not because he was a coward clinging onto his miserable life. This was because he wanted to feel the joy of another great battle. Jin held his bokken strong as he continued forward to face his opponent.

Then out of nowhere that same sense that drew Jin to the last guy was telling him that turning to the right would bring him to the same feeling. Well no one can expect any target to hold a stationary position in a battle like this. The odds of this great power moving was at a great chance so Jin decided to take this turn. The new path that Jin had chosen seemed to want to lead him through a maze of streets because of the damage that the explosion had caused. This would only serve to wakening up the muscles that had fallen asleep since he had fled from that last Shinigami way back there.

Then all of a sudden the area that Jin was covered in mist. He was not in the destroyed roads but it was similar to a graveyard similar to one that would be depicted in a stereo-typical zombie movie. Jin halted his running to fall on top of some grass that looked like it has stopped growing for about one hundred years. It was rotten and horrible almost like everything else. "Turn back you fool!, a ghastly voice commanded through the area. Then all of a sudden the mist faded away and so did the cemetery that Jin thought he stood in. He was was kneeling in the middle of the road staring at a couple of children with a disturbed look on their face. They looked at Jin like he was mental patient. "What the hell just happened." Jin stated as he looked at the children. He let out a large grunt and began to give chase down this road.

Jin continued to run down the wrecked street that he had turned onto back down the way until he came to an open area where there was no one standing right in the open. He could almost swear that this sense he was calling it led him towards this direction. He walked around to search the area but he was not seeing a single useful thing. That was until he looked he turned the corner to look at a woman standing close to a building. She looked like she was standing over an unconscious body and she looked in a pretty bad condition. It would be safe to assume that she had finished a fight with whomever was on the ground. Jin also noticed that there was two scrolls on the ground a short distance from those two. These Shinigami are starting to look like close combat fighters so maybe that explosion back there was not caused by the old guy. If I was a good person I would go back right now and apologize, but that just is not me. Still I do need more information on this Squad Leader of theirs. Jin thought before he grabbed his bokken in hand and approached this girls backside to avoid notice and held his half-a-blade at her her and stated, " Honey, if your a Shinigami then one of your members that I beat to the ground needs medical attention. But, more importantly, where can I find your squad leader?"He announced expecting her to turn around.

    Asa Hinode

Asa had no time to wait for the response from his comrades, as his foe resumes his attacks, giving Asa enough time to think only about defending himself. The fact that his enemy had a full sword, while he was forced to defend himself only with a partially materialized Zanpakuto made things even more difficult, but he managed to hold his ground somehow. Luckily for him, he was far more agile than his attacker. But on the other hand, in sheer strength, he had no chance of winning. He attempted to counterattack when he saw an opening, but none of his efforts have led to a successful counter move. After a flurry of quick strikes, his foe managed to surprise him by a kick aimed at his chest. Asa was unable to react in time to this move and was thrown of his feet by the overwhelming strength of his enemy. He landed on his back, and the attacker decided to press the point. He immediately started to swing his sword at Asa´s exposed chest, hoping to end his life. At the very last moment, Asa placed the fraction of his sword to stop the move. His attacked was surprised a bit, but only grinned, as he started to push harder and harder. Knowing that this would lead to his death, Asa had to create an escape from this situation, and he had to do so fast.

Left with no other choice, he placed his free hand at the edge of his sword, and held it back with all of his strength. Blood started to drip from his hand as his skin was immediately cut by the sharp edges of his sword. But he felt he could hold on a few seconds longer. And then, it happened. His blade was surrounded by a faint glow that intensified, as the blade started to grow again, a few centimeters each second. Both Asa and his opponent looked at his blade in surprise. Despite the moment being truly magnificent, Asa had no time to enjoy it, as he was in quiet a pinch. Asking for forgiveness, he kicked the now exposed man in his knee, forcing him to release his grip. But the blade did not stop to grow. When it stopped, he was looking at a fully materialized Zanpakuto, but something was odd with it. It looked ragged, rusty. Again, he had no time to wonder about what it meant, as he was forced to block a strike with it. He managed to do so without any problems now, but a few tiny pieces of the blade´s material flew away from it. He was a bit afraid about the blade breaking in the process, but then, he remembered the words of his inner spirit about faith. He had to trust in his blade. " It will not break. I know it. "

With that, he pushed back his foe for the first time and was able to disarm him. The blade flying from his hands, his eyes fixed on it gave Asa an opening he could really exploit, and he slashed through the enemy´s chest, causing him to fall to the ground. Sparing no time, he turned and rushed to Hiroto and offered him his hand, holding his Zanpakuto in the hand he used to support the blade, with blood still dripping from it. He gave Hiroto a tired smile.

" C´mon, Hiroto - san. We could use your help right now.
