Armand twirled Rachel around before setting her down lightly, "Rachel! You look as happy as you sounded in your letters! I'm glad Chahiro has been taking good care of you and that you've finally gotten the chance to spread your wings a little." Rachel smiled proudly, as she had certainly made many changes during her time at Chahiro's club. "I owe her a lot on that front. But what are you doing here? You sounded like you were extremely busy in all of your letters. Do you have time to be here?"
Armand actually blushed and wrung his hands nervously, "that would be why I'm here, actually. You see....I renounced my title as Crown Prince. Now I'm just Armand. Amalia is now Crown Princess; she wanted the title more than I and she would be a much better ruler. Especially after the details of the last battle were released: the fact that she was the one who figured out how to bring him down did not escape the notice of my people. And if the worst should happen, I shall step up to take her place but for the time being I am a free man. I must say that it feels wonderful. So if you're free tonight, I'd love to go to a dinner and a show?" Rachel looked hopefully to Chahiro as she was on shift that night. Chahiro nodded her assent and Rachel flew up the stairs with a squee and a "wait right there!!"
"Well, since Rachel's father isn't here to glare you down and threaten you, I guess I'll have to do the honor. She will be home by 11, safe and sound. Otherwise, I will make your life a living hell and you know that I know how to do that. Do you understand?", promised Chahiro. Armand nodded seriously. "Good! Have fun!" Just then, Rachel came back down all ready for her date and Chahiro tried to rush them out as soon as possible so Rachel would stop being quite so mopey around her club.
"Sorry, Jin, I know we were planning on going out tonight but if we don't find someone to take over for Rachel we'll have to stay in to take care of the club." "What?! No! Jin has been planning this night for at least a month! You can't cancel out on that!" one of the girls who worked at the club exclaimed. "Look. Just pay me and one of the others over-time and we'll cover for everyone when we're not with customers. The security guards can act as DMs tonight. Don't worry about us, you spend too much time here, as it is." Jin's hopeful face changed her mind and she nodded, "but if anything, and I mean anything happens, I want to know about it immediately. Okay? And don't get used to it, either. But I guess it couldn't hurt for one night..."
Just as Chahiro and Jin were putting on their coats for their night out, an unknown Pandawa burst through the club door. "Can I help you?", Chahiro asked, slightly worried as the Pandawa was quite out of breath. "I....heard....that a Pan-...Pandawa named Master Ba-......Baichi was here. Is this....true?", the Pandawa was panting heavily throughout and Jin handed him a glass of water, feeling sorry for the poor creature. The group looked at Baichi in surprise, "Master?!?!"
"Yes. Master Baichi's presence is required in Terrdala as the Dojo Master of the Temple has fallen. Master Baichi is next in line. We need him back in Brakmar." "Wait. Do you mean to tell me that people actually want Baichi around? Like, seriously?", Jin asked in an insulting manner. The messenger looked shocked while Baichi glared at Jin and Chahiro looked at Baichi in an appraising manner. "Can I say that I called it? Because I totally did. I knew you were important! Point for Chahiro!", Chahiro noticed Baichi glaring at her as well, "sorry about that."
"Master Baichi! You must come back for the funeral and for your induction ceremony! I know how much you dislike it there, but it is imperitive that you return!" Baichi sighed, he knew that it was unavoidable. "When is it? I'll be there." "In 3 days time. Please make all due haste." "I'll see you in 3 days."
