In a world where superpowered humans have been secretly been experimented on for centuries, those with super powers struggle to avoid their ancestors' past. The United States is under control by a new form of government by 2016. This government is called the New Order. Led by President Thorn, freewill is not an easy thing to access in this country.
He insists on having no threat at all to his power. He has control for a lifetime instead of four years but no one can do anything to change that. With a highly trained army with very advanced artillery, no one dares to threaten him. He has troops in every town, keeping a close eye on everyone. No one knows that they too, have super powers. Thorn doesn't want anyone who is not under his control to have them. When young people discover their own powers, they begin banding up to resist the government. The resistance grows up to hundreds of people. Some normal people even joined in. This resistance is unfortunately put down, many of them killed. Those who did escape scattered about the country and even the world into hiding. President Thorn would not have that. People have been trying to track them down and capture them for years now. The year is 2040 and the President is getting impatient. Could the resistance possibly band up again? Could they possibly beat the government this time? It's highly unlikely but I'm not willing to give up. Are you?
