“Let the world burn for its betrayal of me.”
The Ash Lord
The Ash Lord is an eight feet tall undead revenant, coated head to toe in liquid metal. This metal forms the impression of a suit of armor around his body and completely covers the Tharizdun helmet on his head. It is for this reason, that many mistake the Ash Lord for a wandering knight, as his armor has a tendency to change its shape from time to time. However, what is common between the different forms of his armor is the lack of a visor on his helmet. Instead, there is a formless face with eyes welded shut. The Ash Lord is blind.
Powers
Telepathy
The ability to communicate with creatures by thought. It can be used to locate people within a reasonable distance from the user and can be blocked by willpower.
Pyromancer
The ability to control fire using pyrokinesis.
Embers of Life
The flames produced by the Ash Lord temporarily imbue life into inanimate objects that they hit. These faux creatures have no sentience of their own and are either directed telepathically by the Ash Lord or go into mindless rampage destroying everything in sight. This power has the reverse effect on the undead, allowing the Ash Lord to directly burn their souls with his flames.
Ashes to Ashes
A black cloud of black dust created by anything burned by the Ash Lord’s flames. This dust is violently set ablaze when it comes into contact with a foreign body.
Endless Flame
A white fire that feeds off of energy, growing larger and more destructive over time. It has the property of canceling magic and supernatural powers.
Chaos Curtain
An invisible vapor of superheated air created from prolonged exposure to the Ash Lord’s flames that burns anything that tries to pass through it.
Sea of Fire
An advanced version of the Chaos Curtain. The air itself ignites into flames enveloping the surroundings in a sea of fire. Temperatures rise to unbelievable heights and transform the very earth into liquid magma.
Precipice of Oblivion
As temperatures continues to rise further the Sea of Fire becomes the Precipice of Oblivion. Plasma forms in the superheated air, creating electromagnetic storms within a sea of flames. The resulting bursts of energy melt off protective spells and metals begin to not only liquefy but evaporate.
The Gates of Hell
As the Precipice of Oblivion reaches its final stage. The air changes into a pure energy state as plasma mixes in with the surrounding blaze. The fire is no longer fire, but a pure white beam that incinerates everything in its wake. The surroundings are so energized that even if you are not burned in an instant the radiation emanated by the light would split apart your cells, causing profuse bleeding throughout your body, and the sound from the resonating energy would cause you to burst into flames from the inside out.
Equipment
The Fire Crest
The Fire Crest is a plate armor made up of crystallized fire that is as strong as steel. It regenerates itself by absorbing heat and converting that heat into crystals. If struck by an external force the armor will burst into flames, engulfing the attacker in scorching blaze. The exterior of the Fire Crest is coated with layers of liquid metal, which absorbs solid projectiles and reflects directed energy. This liquid metal is hot enough to deteriorate weapons that strike its surface, often melting them if exposed to it for too long. The liquid metal is also telepathically linked with its owner, able to meld into various shapes on will.
Tharizdun Helm:
The Helm of Tharizdun, once resting on the crown of the Chained God, is a magnificently dark, jagged crown. The tips of which extend two or three inches at the highest. Dark emblems are engraved along the front and sides depicting several demonic/devilish looking runes.
The power behind this piece of equipment is simple; it constantly protects the wearer from mind based attacks and in addition to that, it also projects a force field, in accordance to the magical items rules. It is capable of blocking ONE high strength attack(2 or more charges), or TWO mid-level attacks(1 charge), or THREE low-level(No charges) attacks. This is effective against magical attacks and not physical ones. Though he is said to be deceased, the Ash Lands resurrect the Ash Lord when he needs to protect his crown.
Riddle to the Plate: Where the Wild Beasts Hide - where the Fey folk thrive, come to find where the Chained God’s body resides.
Riddle to the Gauntlets: Lost in the very white air, surrounded by the bitter cold, an icy peak upon where my current holder stands, his hands still within.
Riddle to the Leg Pieces: Atop the high tower, left alone with my masters stand tall- surrounded by the waters of the ocean around me.
Riddle to the Sword-Staff: Upon these grounds, wherein the fortress is protected adamantly - I rest waiting for my master to take hold of my power once more.
