"But dad, this isn't right!" A short blonde haired girl shouted from across the kitchen.
"I don't care what you think Anna. This is what your mother and I decided, and this is what's going to happen. You will respect our wishes and also help out." Mark growled, never once bothering to put down his newspaper.
Anna let out a frustrated sigh and marched outside, before sitting down on one of the steps leading towards the house. She was dressed in a strapless, brown sundress with a black belt that fit around the waist. On her feet she wore a pair of leather cowboy boots that came up just above her ankles. Her short blonde hair was pulled back with a small butterfly shaped barrette, showing even more of her large blue eyes.
Anna was beyond upset right now, not understand why her parents would do something so stupid. This guy was a criminal, what if he tried to hurt them or steal from them? Who knows what he was capable of really. Then again, Anna didn't really know why he was coming here in general. She just knew that he had done something bad and her parents were offered a decent sum of money to take the boy in for the year and have him work for them. Anna didn't really mind not having to do work now, but she still didn't trust him alone, especially with the animals.
Anna was snapped out of her thoughts as a large truck came down the driveway. She let out a sigh, but stood up and told her father. Within seconds both Mark and his wife Stacy were standing outside, waiting for their new worker.
