Skin Deep RP Interest Check

THE OOC


First of all, This RP is inspired by an epic little comic known as Skin Deep. I don't know the artist, nor do I hint in any way that 'all' of this is only my own making, I'm going to build up an RP based around the theme of the comic, Which really I already enjoyed before I even found a comic about it. xD

For those that don't already know of course, that theme is more or less 'magical creatures are among us but are very well hidden', and all the enjoyable little scenarios that go along with that. I can't say where the RP will go, because I don't intend to layout the story ahead of time, I want us all to guide it together, I mean we don't wanna start off with a war or anything XD Though I will say I intend for our group of character to at least know eachother and live in the same city.

Far more specific information will surface when I make the OOC tommorrow or the next day, but for now I can say that just about any creature can be used, myths, Fairytails, spiritual creatures, and so on, This is a list of the species already canon to the comic itself, I will also include a pole above.

I will also say, It would be nice if a few of the characters that are involved are 'newly turned', The specifics of what that means will be explained in the OOC XD I've got a lot of info to convert to RP Style.


ALSO, I would love to get suggestions for a town/city to start the RP in, it doesn't even have to be american, and I would like to see opinions on which ones are proffered, The most popularly endorsed suggestion is where we'll start off, and if nobody does it, then I'll just pick one once I get to that stage XD


Edit: ALSO, important to know, the more powerful the creature you use is, the more regulated they'll likely be by those who's interest is keeping our existence secret XD That mean, suuure, you can have something like a nimean lion, but if you go knocking buildings down then you'll find several more equally dangerous creatures making you 'not' blow the lid off this secret thing XD

Depends on if you can form a literate post XD as long as you can match the standards for the Casual section I don't care if your new =3 which really is just a few good sentences minimum from what I understand, though leniency can be observed in dialogue filled situations XD though Collab posts work wonders for saving time on back and forth dialogue.

Glad ya like it XD hope whatever forced ya to vanish from Maximum Ride is fixed soon =3 and that could be fun >=3 when i saw the mini arc in the comic about things nixie's can do I thought it'd be quite entertaining to have one around XD course I haven't fully researched everything yet, I actually don't even know if nixie's are all female or not XD

Personally I was planning a bugbear >=3 or maybe a half breed of one >.> Multiple characters will be allowed anyway XD


Either way, woo, interest so quickly =3 if nobody puts in votes I'll just hafta build things based on how many people show up xD on another note, either of you have any preffered cities you'd like the RP to start in? oh, and I remembered a bit of info i needed to have in the first post XD hahah

OH, also, I'd like to say something i thought earlier that i found entertaining XD I am very lenient in terms of what people use that isn't canon with what may have inspired my RP =3 and this while it would be sickeningly cute, would also be an interesting thing to see implanted in the story... that being, 'ponies' of whatever type >.< much as i dislike the excessive worship and obsession with cutesy pony things, It would be hilarious to see how one might deal with the issues in this world XD Because, and I'm not making it up XD 'real' pegasi, unicorns, and similar equine species, are incredibly insulted by the existence of 'my little pony', some are at least anyway XD

Lol, knowledge of the comic itself isn't required =3 since the theme of it is possible in any real world setting anyway, pretty much anyone can just imagine, what would the world be like with lots of magical creatures that most people don't know are there.

I'm currently in the middle of deciding how to start things off, Right now, my simplest idea is to use new york, because pretty much everyone knows the layout of new york, plus it's a pretty high profile location, plenty of oppurtunity to stir up entertaining trouble in an RP, But i'm open to suggestions for a less 'mainstream' place to go XD

The story itself I intend to have sculpted by the players themselves and the characters actions, Really it'll start out fairly normal, i mean, ya know, normal for magical creatures XD maybe human normal for a while until somebody gets their turning suddenly XD but beyond that, I'll have some ideas stored away to bring out should things hint at becoming bland, but if It can be helped I'd like most of the things that happen IC to be caused by a player or character, but if that doesn't work out Then i'll bring certain events to bear to keep things interesting.

In the case of me running the interesting plot situations myself I'll probably follow the general theme of escalation, though I won't just detail everything ahead of time XD It basically means things will get more interesting as we go along.
