    Taking over....the world?

She loved it, the feel of magic at her fingertips. She could use it anywhere, anytime. No one there to stop her, no one to tell her she couldn't do it. Everyone was just like her, she could do whatever she wanted. With the snap of her fingers, or the point of her finger, anything she wanted would just appear wherever she points or wants. A smile curved at the corner of her mouth as she pointed in front of her. Suddenly a new pink convertable appeared. Man she loved magic, she was going to drive it all around town. Suddenly the portal opened right in front of her, behind her car. Out stepped her mother, she was coming from the mortal realm. "Honey, you have to come home." "I am home mother" she replied in anger.

She hated the mortal realm, she couldn't use her magic, or she could but she had to be very careful of using it so that no one would discover them. "You will do as I say, school will start in just a few minutes" though the witches could stop time, without anyone even knowing, they can also speed up time, or make themselves go at the speed of lightening so that they could get somewhere on time. A sigh of surrender came from the seventeen year old girl. Finally giving in to her mothers stern, yet frightening glare. She knew that her mother was capiable of. Her mother was more experienced in magic than her. She could do a whole lot more. "Can I at least take the car?" another stern look and the teenager just gave up and walked through the portal.

They would always draw up the potral in the forest, or somewhere very private, where they know that no one would be watching. It appeared in the forest, just as planned, well, it was there they just had to walk through. One witch could open the portal theirselves which came in handy most times. Elisabeth was her name, the teenager, she spoke and turned to her mother. "I still don't understand why we have to live here, why can't I go to school in the other realm?!" "Because your father and I grew up here, even though we were raised by mortals, we still have powers but mortals we will be" with that she snapped her fingers and appeared in the kitchen. She still cooked normal meals like a real mother, she didn't use magic as much as the rest of the family did.

With the roll of her eyes, Elisabeth followed a few seconds later in the kitchen. "Ready" she said prowd of herself as she appeared in a new outfit, a long light brown dress that was to her colarbone, it had short sleeves, and she had a long sleeved dark brown jacket that had one button on it. Mary, her mother rolled her eyes, "I do wish you would change like a normal person." "I'm not normal, and besides, the clothes I have look ugly, and you never have the" she put air quotations around "Money" "To buy anything why can't you just make that appear like everything else?" "Yea!" her father came in and Elisabeth smiled, "Thanks daddy" she greeted him with a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Honey, I wish you would side with me for once" Mary said while putting a pancake on the plate in front of Harry, Elisabeth's father.

"What's for breakfast?!" a little girl skipping into the kitchen with a long pink dress on, her light brown hair, just like her mothers and Elisabeth's, flew down to her waist was tied halfway behind her. "Pancakes dear" Mary replied putting a few at her plate as well as her and Harry sat down for breakfast. Just as Mary put one on Elisabeths plate she replied, "I'm not hungry, besides I have to get to school" she said as she snapped her fingers and her bag appeared in her hands from upstairs. Her mother only sighed as Elisabeth smiled gave her mother, father, and little sister Jenny a kiss on the cheek and headed out the door. A causous glance around and a snap of her fingers and the same pink convertable appeared in the driveway as she got in, threw her bag in the back and started it up on her way to school.

"William, William." The large man paced about his study as his son, William, is seated at a large, cushioned chair next to a small table, this is where the man, who is known as Alexander, William's father, usually sits to read his numerous books. "What am I going to do about you?" the man pounded the table beside him with his closed fist.

"Father, I was only doing what was necessary." The boy, who looked about seventeen, responded meekly.

"'What was necessary?' Are you telling me this is what was necessary?" his father's voice rising as he pointed a finger toward an empty space as a sort-of holographic projection appeared, within it showed the boy using his powers to rescue a cat stuck on the tree, and releasing it after a brief hug. "Not only did you jeopardize your identity by using magic, but you did so saving a pathetic mortal creature!" his father was now shouting. William was speechless. "I shall discipline you, once and for all."

Alexander made a circle in the air with his hand and started to mutter rituals. William easily identified what this was, to his fear. "Father, no!" His father continued despite this until he stopped and lowered his hand.

"Too late, William, it is done. I hope this will teach you about discipline." His father turned and started to walk away.

"Father! Please! What can I do to redeem myself?" William pleaded. His father stopped at his words and turned to face his son.

"I do not think you can accomplish this, but I shall send you to a school, you're mission is not to study at the school but to 'observe' a certain girl."

"Yes, father, anything to get my powers back." Alexander snapped his fingers as he whisked William away with his magic. William was warped in front of the school he was supposed to enroll in, although he appeared far from mortal eyes as to not catch any attention of a boy just appearing out of thin air.

The girl knew she would be late, so with another snap of her fingers, a way she always preformed magic, time was stopped. She was able to manouver around the cars and got to school on time. No one had even noticed, she smiled at herself. Pleased at what she had done. No one would even comprehend what happened because she just started time back up as she was pulling in the parking lot. So it was like she had just gotten there that second. When pulling in she grabbed her backpack and raced to her first class. Math.

The teacher always made copies of assignments at the last minute. It was kind of pathetic if you ask her. They have about an hour from the time the teachers have to be at school, from the time school actually started. She wondered really what the teachers always do before school that they couldn't do these things before class. She took her original seat, they were assigned. There was always an open seat for if a new person came to the school and later on they would be assigned to an actual seat. The boy who had just came in had sat right in front of her. It was weird, the seats that were always open for newcommers, were always right in front of her in all her classes. Weird.

She took her notebook out, she so wished she could use magic here, most of the time she wished she was back in... Manjipor, the magic realm apart from this one. Why would anyone with magic want to live in such a place, she didn't know why her parents wanted to live here. She was just glad she had the same classes as last year, that way if she was late to the first day, (which if she didn't use her magic she would be,) she wouldn't have to get her new schedule, and try to find her new class, being late. She then started writing in her note book and wrote her name and the subject and waited paitiantly for the teacher to come in and start the lesson.

William entered the school, he knew his father wanted him to do something different since now his father took his magics away. This was going to be a very long day. He didn't really have any idea where to go, though he just noticed he was holding a small piece of paper in his right hand. It seems to be the schedule of his class which seemed to be Class 2-B.

He walked casually through the uncrowded corridor reading the signs on top of the doors. He finally arrived at where he intended, on the way, he passed by the clinic, which was quite convenient. He inhaled in before he opened the sliding door to his class and surveyed the room for empty seats, one was in front of a brown haired girl, he figured that the chair might have been open for new comers due to the absence of bags on it and the lack of attention the class had toward it, he sat on the empty chair. He still had no idea what he doing was here.

He didn't know what to do now, but to pass the time, at least, he could just make some friends. He turned toward the girl behind him. "Hi, I'm new." he said with a casual smile while extending his hand toward her.

Elisabeth started jotting down what was on the board. Even though the teacher normally was late to class, which she never got, he would always make sure to write the assignment on the board that way the class has something to do while he wasn't there. She shook her head at the fact he wasn't there. "Stupid teachers" she muttered right before a new guy sat in front of her. She sighed as she finished writing the assignment and looked up with a small smile. "Wow, that's an odd name, well my name is Elisabeth" she said extending her hand to shake his.

She figured he need some humor, he looked as if he was having a bad day. She liked to brightened up people's day by telling them jokes or acting funny. In this case, acting as if him saying he was new, was actually his name. After she shook his hand the teacher had walked in. "Finally" another mutter came before the teacher started to speak. "Now class, I hope you all wrote down the assignment." Odds are, half the class didn't, and Elisabeth knew these teachers well enough that the first thing to do was to write the assignment down. They always erased the assignment and wrote their name on the board. Elisabeth flipped to a new page and was ready to take notes. "'My name is Mr. Jackson, not Mr. Jay, not Mr. Jack. ect. It's Mr. Jackson" He knew how the children, as he calls them, loved to bend the names of the teachers. So he had to make it clear to say all the possible nicknames the class could think of.

Elisabeth smirked and he spoke again. After he started going through the attendance he realized there was one student he didn't say the name of. He must be new. "Well class, we have a new student here. Sir, may you please stand up and introduce yourself?" Mr. Jackson asked as he gestured towards William. Normally the teachers would get notified if there was a new student. Which really they do, they just have too much on their mind to even remember.

That was a joke. Its nice to hear jokes once in a while, it takes some of the load his carrying off especially when its a bad day, and it seems that he had made a new acquaintance. Perhaps today wasn't so bad after all. The teacher had just come in right after he finished shaking her hand, "My name is Mr. Jackson, not Mr. Jay, not Mr. Jack. ect. It's Mr. Jackson" The teacher said. He went through his attendance role-call but realized that the student right in front wasn't called. "Well class, we have a new student here. Sir, may you please stand up and introduce yourself?" he said.

William stood up and went to the front of the class, although slightly weary looking. "My name is William-" he hesitated, for Ebonshire is a strange surname for a modern person, his family's name is also well known throughout the magical community as a family that was always seeking power and would so much abandon another wizard in need for their own gain. There might be a wizard amidst all the normal humans in this classroom. So he continued "-Adams. William Adams." That was quite the uncreative name, but he had to think of a name in a moment's notice.

He wasn't like the others of his family that craved power, he was simply content with his own, but he didn't want to have to explain that to a wizard thats trying to kill him, if he didn't even have any means of defense, his hunter wouldn't probably believe him anyway.

"Thank you William you may be seated. Now class let's begin" Mr Jackson started lecturing the class on importance of writing the assignment down. He always did this for the first ten minutes of the class and Elisabeth always wrote down the assignment so she didn't need to hear it. She wrote on a piece of paper that said "Nice to meet you...William" that name seemed familiar but she shrugged. Probably because one of her parents' friends' names was William. She passed the note making sure the teacher didn't catch her. She had a sight of hand, she did a small spell mouthing the words as she made sure the note was invisible to the teacher. As she passed the note she then began taking notes when the teaching actually began.

William received the note and read it on top of his seat, he wrote down 'Nice to meet you too. Can I call you Elisa?' With a small smiley at the end of the letter. Although he tried to pass it back to Elisabeth, he tried to do so too painfully obviously that the teacher saw it and confiscated it. "Making trouble on your first day of class, eh, mister William? Since you are new, I'll let you off with a warning." He looked at Elisabeth. "But you miss Elisabeth, I'll see you at my table in the office after class." He said so with a stern face. William looked at Elisabeth apologetically and mouthed the phrase 'I'm sorry.'

Elisabeth smiled as he read it but she was going to grab the letter when the teacher snatched it from Williams hand. Her eyes followed the note up to the teacher a knot in her throat. She quickly looked up when he called her name and sighed hearing the punnishment. Elisabeth looked at William for a split second and when he apologised she just looked back down at her paper. She didn't get why the spell wore off? Maybe she didn't say it right? She'd have to test it out later after school, but right now she just needed to concentrate on writing notes. After class she grabbed her books and her notebook and headed to Mr Jacksons table in the office. Wondering what her punnishment would be. Suspension? She hoped not.

It was lunch time, and Will had just got his lunch from the cafeteria, now holding it in a tray, and trying to find an empty table. After he found a group of students who so courteously let him sit with them, he sat a bit away from the other students, although with their courtesy, they insisted him that it was alright, William with his own courtesy wanted to leave them be so that he doesn't disturb them.

He pondered about what he had gotten his recent acquaintance into, he always had a power unique to even those in Manjipor- the power to dispel any enchantment cast on an object, upon contact with his skin. He had discovered this power a few years ago, but had kept it hidden from his parents for he knows they would use him to conquer their world and destroy any clan that stood in their way. Will had been thinking so hard that he forgot to eat his lunch, he looked at the time and saw that he still had fifteen minutes to finish everything.

He quickly scarfed down his bread and meatloaf, and drank his tea, he preferred tea over soda. He went to back into the cafeteria to return the tray after thanking the students for letting him sit with them. He still had seven minutes of free time, which is good, he anticipated he had two less minutes. He went straight to The corridor where the teachers' offices are, he looked and saw Mr. Jackson's name plaque over a door. He knocked,

"Come in." A voice came from inside. Will opened the door.

"Good noon, Mr. Jackson." William greeted.

"William, what can I do for you?"

"Well, I'd like to apologize about what happened in class earlier."

"Well that is peculiar, you don't need to come all this way to just apologize."

"If it isn't too much to ask, what did you give to Elisabeth as punishment?"

    "Why do you ask?"

"I just think it isn't fair for her to have a punishment when I don't have any." William told, Mr. Jackson pondered for a while.

"Hmm... You are a peculiar student, well I assigned Elisabeth for cleaning up after classes have ended. I guess you can help her if you really wanted to."

"Thanks, Mr. Jackson." William said as he went out closing the door behind him.

"What a weird kid." Mr. Jackson said to himself and resuming his paperwork.
