I smiled slightly. "That'd be sweet of you to do that." I said in a soft whisper. Not realizing I had just said it out loud. I felt myself blush. I looked down, letting my bangs fall into my face to hide the blush.

Silas smiled as he saw her hide her face after she spoke, "so where's home?" He asked her.

"3758 Eagle Drive." I said softly, once my blush faded I moved my bangs out of my face. Geez, I need to watch what I said out loud. Sure it was true. It was also true I thought he was pretty cute. But I couldn't come right out and tell him that!

"All aboard!" He said, "woo-woo!" He said pretending to be a train as he drove silently for a while.

I smiled and laughed softly. Really, I never once heard or saw any gang member act like he did. And I liked it about him. He was different. And I did it again, I spoke my mind out loud. "Your different, I like it." Is exactly what I said. I felt my face get red again.

"Aww shucks,"Silas laughed as he turned onto her home street, "which house is it now?" He asked and yawned.

That blue and white one on the corner." I said softly and looked over to him as he yawned. There was no way he was driving home tonight, not when it looked like he was going to fall asleep at the wheel. I sighed softly. The only place he could sleep was in the same bed as me, or on the ground in my room. My dad couldn't see him. My dad would flip outh though the was no promise he'd even be home tonight. Then my phone rang. It was my dad. "Hello? Yea? Why?" I said into the phone, telling a little white lie. "Your not coming home tonight? No...Dad...I'll be fine. Okay, okay. Bye" I hung up, wasn't a bed surprise. But still, he was staying here tonight, and he was staying in my room. Plus I was scared someone would come through the window where the tree was.

Silas parked in the driveway, "so what'd the chief have to say?" He asked as he got out and went to her side and opened her car door for her.

"That he isn't planning on coming home tonight or tomorrow morning. So I'll be alone and he wantsbto make sure I'm okay being 'alone' for that long." I said softly and smiled, hoping he caught my little drift of having him stay here for the night.

"Well I could keep you company for the night," Silas said with a wink as they walked to the house.
