"Like what?" I asked softly. "Ask anything you want and I'll answer it." I added and looked at him, putting one thing at a time and mixed it in to the raw eggs.

"Hmm," Silas thought aloud and started to rub her back, "what about, where were you born?" He asked.

I smiled as I felt him start to rub my back. "I was born and raised, until me and my dad moved here in the darker side of Cincinnati." I said softly. "I would have had an older brother. But someone mugged my mom when she was pregnant with him and she had a miscarriage when she was eight months pregnant." I added.

"I'm sorry," Silas told her and moved his hand to her shoulder, "I was born God-knows-where and sent to live in a tough ass orphanage, constantly picked on I had to toughen up and fight back,"

I looked at him. "Is that why you joined a gang?" I asked curiously. I felt his hand on my shoulder now. Sometimes talking about gangs, even if the person was a member. It got them uneasy.

"Well," Silas said as he moved his hand to her opposite hip and watched her work, "that's what started it," he began to explain, "around the age of 17 or so I found out my mom was a prostitute. She was killed by one of her costumers, and I was sent down to id her, they found me in the orphanage registry," he explained, "then one night, I went after the guy, and found out he had a wife and daughter," he said and stopped rubbing Ashlee's back, "please don't hate me," he said hesitantly.

I bit my lips slightly as I looked down, "You hurt them to get to him?" I asked in a soft whisper. I figured out that the man that raped and murdered my mother and raped me had only been out to get at my father. But it didn't work. My father could care less at what happened to us.

"No," Silas shook his head, "I rounded them up at night in their home, his wife had his kids go to sleep, made her give them a child's dose of sleeping pills so they wouldn't see what I would do," he started to explain, his trembling hands was proof that he never told anybody this, "I tied up his wife while keeping him at gunpoint, then told her he had been sleeping around and killed my mom," he looked up at Ashlee with tears in his eyes, "I tortured him in front of her, not enough to kill him, but I mutilated him. I even cut off one of his hands with their kitchen knife. Once it was all said and done," he looked down and started to cry, "I didn't look back, not even once. That's when my life as a gangster began. I tortured a family man! Not some rival gangster, I didn't hold up a convience store, I did something a monster would do," he cried.

I turned around and hugged him. "I would want the same thing done to the man who raped and killed my mother and raped me." I said in a soft whisper. "But your not a monster." I added.
