...Oh dear, a person with a changing Signature. Whelp, looks like the next few minutes of my time are going to be wasted >.>
Letting Destiny control your life is like giving up your free will. You have no real choice in your life, only a set path forced upon you. Some Destinies put you on a path of good, while others put you on a path of evil. However, Destiny forces you onto those paths sometimes, making you give up many things that define you. Destiny is in truth, a double edged sword. It cuts you just as deeply as it cuts into the paths of others.
Never let Destiny guide you. It may cause more harm to who you are than you think.
They are exactly 260, at this moment. You never know when there'll be new ones. ;D Gotta catch 'em all.
Name: James Wetherall
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Bio: Since birth, Wetherall had always been a noticeably different sort of child. He had an endless capacity for learning, which his highly-educated older brother found both fascinating and entertaining, and he would be smuggled out of grade school regularly so he could be taught more advanced curriculum. By age 9, he had worked himself up to basic trigonometry, and his brother often sought his help with the occasional math problem. As a direct result of this, Wetherall often found himself in the company of books, and he was always eager to learn more. Given his early learning experiences, however, he took a mathematical approach to nearly everything. Luckily for him, he had been born into an affluent family, and his father had a large repository of books in the house, the most prized of which were unavailable anywhere else. This background also gave him a predilection for the finer things in life, and he accustomed himself to wearing his suit regularly. He spent more time studying than he did with other children of his age, and so when he spoke, he did so logically and sparsely. He liked to diversify his studies, and his father (a professor of biology at an esteemed college) would try to push him toward biology, but Wetherall personally preferred the harder sciences, like chemistry and physics.
When he was 12, a small epidemic swept through the area. The death toll was relatively small, but both of Wetherall's parents were among them. He then lived with his brother, who had inherited the house, and grew steadily quieter and more reserved. A few months later, he met with some of the other professors from the college, who taught everything from basic circuitry to things like alchemy and psionics. Each professor, it seems, was the best or close to the best in their fields, and while they liked to disagree with each other, Wetherall saw an opportunity to merge the arts of the mathematic and the fantastic. His own father's research notes had also seemed to merge different schools of thought, and involved complex symbols, sigils, and circuits the likes of which Wetherall had never seen before to create artificial biological libs and organs. He took a special interest in robotics, though, as he believed that the pure logic of a computer trumped the instinct-based human thought process. Wetherall, in fact, behaved a lot like a computer himself, and would likely have been accused of one if anyone else had heard of them. But they hadn't, it turns out, as the society of professors appeared to be decades ahead of anything the rest of the world had dreamed up. In response to this, Wetherall thought to get in with the rest of these professors, and pursued the best education for himself so he could one day work alongside them. As of now he teaches at a smaller college and works in his free time on contraptions that mix the scientific and the strange.
Appearance: Wears a suit and bowler hat, both a deep brown. He also wears brown-lensed, reflective spectacles with a gold frame. He tends to keep his hair short and neat, and maintains an overall formal posture whenever possible. He speaks infrequently and concisely. [Image to come if I can find/make one]
Occupation: He teaches at a low-level college and works on the side with a small team of "magiscience"-related researchers and engineers.
Abilties (Optional): Abilities may be added/changed/removed over the course of the game as Wetherall continues research.
-Perception (Passive): Wetherall, being a man of science, views the world in a certain, logical way, and is quick to notice inconsistencies and patterns where others do not. He can read faces and "tells" very easily as well. (OOC this means he can pick up on additional information when examining things or people, and in combat, fighting an enemy for a longer period of time will increase Wetherall's evasion stat against that enemy, especially if it telegraphs its attacks.)
-TELLER (Active): A rudimentary computer that Wetherall has constantly built and upgraded over the course of several years. It is programmed to scan the smallest movements of an organism and give a basic readout of its biology. Being one of the first computers (and certainly the most advanced of its age), the machine as a very low battery life. (OOC this device has one use and a very long recharge period and upon use will boost Wetherall and his party's critical hit stats against a specific enemy. Out of combat it can be used to identify diseases or other inconsistencies within a body, or as a crude lie detector.)
Inventory (Optional): He always carries a cane with him, which has a light but tough sword hidden inside it. He also carries a dagger, a pocket watch and the TELLER. He owns a pistol but doesn't usually carry it.
Stat Rundown:
Main Stats:
Strength: Set back
Stamina: Normal
Agility: Boosted
Charisma: Set back
Intelligence: Boosted
Willpower: Boosted
Luck: Normal
Health: Set back
Side Stats:
Fighting Skills: Boosted with light weapons, set back if using heavy weapons or unarmed

bumping this up![]()
Now now, I am not likeaboss. I am the boss.
"She lives in darkness, show her the light."
Hello everyone.
I have been unable to post lately due to my internet connection being cut, attributted to a change of residence. I am now accessing the internet through a netcafe.
The library of my university also has access to the internet. However, it is closed due to the willing absent from work, of its administrators, as a form of protest. Hopegully, this will end by next week, so please be patient.
As for character applications, I am afraid I can only accept 1 more player, and will give this great thought. Bioapple, I will most likely accept you.
I am very sorry for all of this.
In the mean time, please post any questions you may have about the RP itself.
