When the demon ignored him and attempted to bash his skull in with the shield, Uicle snapped. " I am done being nice" he hissed. Dodging the shield, he placed a hand on it and gave it life and an order all at once Attack the demon. The shield ripped itself from the demons grasp and began to attack the demon, slamming on it. He glanced over to see the wrath demon wrapping about his golem, then he turned his attention back towards the battle at hand. The golem had been built for cases like that, it would simply curl in a ball and use the wrath demons own body to protect itself. Meanwhile his iron dagger began stabbing at the demons hands.

Uicle himself drew his daggers and was about to drive them into the demons skull when the Arch-Mage stepped in. The lance shattered and was left in his chest, the wrath demons inferno hole was closed, and there was dead silence. Uicle stepped back, murderously eyeing the demon wanting to plunge his daggers into the demons skull. The golem on the other on hand, had it's hand around the wrath demons neck, and was about to smash it's fist through it's head. Uicle rummaged in his many pockets, most of which were thankfully saved from the lance, and pulled out a pouch of red powder. Sprinkling it around the lance's edge, Uicle hissed as it began to take effect, clotting his wounds. Turning towards the Arch-Mage he said simply "So, what now?" The shield was waiting to smash the demons skull in, as was his iron dagger.

Karnage grabbed his shield, which attempted to attack him, and crushed it with one hand. He created it, he can destroy bit just as easily. The Demon was still toying with the golem, turning into an incorporeal flame when it tried to crush it's head. Then it would dance around the golem, opening even more holes in the ground. The Archmage may have closed one, but the Wrath's demon only ability aside from it's app rent shapeshifitng was opening that hole. Karnage roared at Uicle, picking up yet another weapon; two "dagger", which were more like cleavers. His own vision and conscience was waning, but his rage sustained him. All he was trying to do was go home, and time after time again, Uicle not only tried to stop him, he had the gal to do so by taking Karnage's weapons. The Wrath Demon left the golem and escaped, leaving Karange behind. In his weaken state, Karange no longer had control over the demon, who was free to wreck havoc as it pleased. Lighting the local trees on fire, the demon left the Academy and headed down the road. Karnage then charged at Uicle, as his body began to darken and show cracks, with red lights emitting from them. Though Karnage had defeated the demons of his past, they were always ready for round two.

As Lucilia passed out drinks, she checked her room. True, she did clean it up a bit, but it still looked like the inside of a hut. "I believe magic is being used to accommodate our rooms. You see here," Lucilia went over to her Alchemy Table. "I have a table like this just at home. However, I always keep a bit of distillation agent in one of the vials, in case it was needed. However, such a thing is never included with a set. Though it's just me guessing, I would say that the academy must be using some sort of spell to project our desires through the room. It would explain why the interior looks so close to my own home as well." As she brought another tray of snacks for her guest, sandwiches. "Here, something to eat with your drink. So, tell me Rendar, Pylia; what do you think of the others you saw? I believe the one known as Zessoku would be quite interesting, what with her arm and a leg policy. Uicle is also a rather enigmatic person, yes? Hiding underneath that dark armor."

Uicle crouched down, adrenaline racing through him, as the half-demon charged him, "Come on! I'm right here. Let us dance upon the field of battle" He hissed. His golem roared as the wrath demon attempted to trip it with holes and followed it as it headed down the road. It had apparently finished fighting the golem. Running after the demon, The golem attempted to crush it via hand claps. When that failed, it tore up to large pieces of dirt, mud, and stones, and slammed them together on the flames, trying to smother the demon.

Uicle on the other hand, dodged to the left, being nicked by the daggers, as Karnage charged past him, hissing as the Lance grated against his bones and armor. Then leaping upon the half-demons back, he wrapped his armored legs around his throat, careful to keep them away from the teeth, and began to squeeze. "Sadly, I cannot kill you. As the demon in you would escape and cause mass damage but I can knock you out. Even half-demons need to breathe." Uicle also began to do calculated blows with his dagger hilts to Karnages head, avoiding causing more cracks, but causing pain and hopefully helping along with the losing consciousness process. His iron dagger flew in to help with this by using it's hilt as well.

Pylia smiled as she drank the tea. "You are correct, my room is quite lavish in comparison the the Temple. It's a nice change, and the books, oh wow." Pylia was quite happy over the fact she had access to a limitless amount of tomes, even just in her room.

"Miss Lucilia, thank you for the wonderful tea and meal, the food is amazing!" She happily took another small plate of meat as she listened to the others. She paused as Lucilia had mentioned the demon, Pylia quietly voiced her thoughts. "I honestly am unsure how to feel about the demon, I left some food for him when I saw him in the library. I learned to never let appearances judge what lay beneathe." Thinking to the Temple, she continued. "There were soldiers, people injured, thieves, and once a vampire who've come seeking our aid. I've never tried to think of myself as a better, they came for aid. That's all that matters." She smiled as she took another sip of tea. "I don't really know what to think of the others, but if any of them require my aid, they will get it. Even you Miss Lucilia, I do know a few things that can treat your injuries too. It requires the use of my mageblood to amplify your own healing potential. I just request that you please do not take from me unless the situation is dire."

Karnage struggled to take out Uicle, flailing and slashing at him. Karnage's Demon dodged the golem's attack, and fled far away, beyond Karnage's control. Karnage had to move his chin just a bit to avoid being choked, but the constant beating with teh daggers were starting to both annoy him and wear him down. But before Karnage could do anything to get Uicle off of him, Karnage fell to his knees. he didn't know what was going on, but his vision was getting blurry, he lost feelings in his lower legs, and the last thing he knew he did was roar into the skies, causing a nest of birds to fly out. The cracks in his skin began to darken, until they eventually lost their glow completely. A thorny vine returned into the ground after Karnage fell, stabbing his weapons into the ground.

Lucilia turned away from the window after overseeing the fight at the front gates. She was glad that things were going to quite down now. Turning to entertain her guest, Lucilia smiled at Pylia. ”Take from you? Dear me, I would never do something like that. I only take when I need to, and that’s not very often. Though I appreciate the notion.” Lucilia avoided talking about the monster for now, wanting to know what they think of the others. She took one of her experimental ether’s, taking a sip. She felt a surge of energy go through her, but it was different from a normal potion. It didn’t just provide the drinking additional blood to perform magic; the solution alone could be used as a catalyze, regardless if you had mage blood or not. Probably not a ground breaking invention, but the fact that she made one made it important to her. ”You may not judge by appearance, but I believe that we all must come with a certain standard. I would not face a thief without worrying about my wallet, nor would I face a monster without a weapon. Through I suppose living in constant paranoia isn’t exactly a better alternative. Still, just from first impressions, what do you think of the others? Like say… Me?”

Uicle gasped and fell off of Karnage as the half demon fell to his knees. His golem roared in triumph as the wrath demon fled, and rushed back to his master, Picking him up and protecting him with his body. Uicle had few precious few energy left, but he felt it was only polite to do this one thing, snapping his fingers Uicle gave temporary life to all the objects of Karnages and put them in a pile next to the half-demon, with that,Uicle got groggily up and walked, with the help of his golem, to the Arch-Mage. He leaned heavily on his golem and said "Arch-mage, I am going to most likely pass out now. So, if you would kindly not kill or dissipate the spell on my golem when it tries to protect my unconscious form, it would be much appreciated. Also, I believe a comprehension ring for the half-demon and a long explanation as to why he cannot leave would be in order. Also, when you take the lance out of my chest, If whomever heals me would just use a spell to speed up the healing process, I should be fine in several hours, I'll explain that if necessary latter." With that, Uicle took a deep breath, and then passed out.

His golem reacted just as Uicle had predicted, leaping over his form and roaring at any who tried to get near.

Pylia thought about the question, what did she think from first impressions of the others? "Well Sir Rendar seems to be a noble individual, I trust him." She thought next to the undead, "Uicle I am unsure of to be honest, I don't feel the same warmth from him as I do with you or any others. Even the demon seems to have something inside that I can feel."

Thinking towards the arch-mage next. "I believe the Arch-Mage is a trustworthy individual, he has seen much of this world. I believe he sees something within us we may not even be aware of yet." She pursed her lips as she thought about the demon next. "Karnage, did what he needed to survive in a world that I would not understand. How can I judge something like that?" Next she thought of the thief, "I see the thief as the same boat as Karnage, I have lived happily in the temple and may not understand the world they came from. I am not a fighter, so I'd rather pray for aid then a dagger."

Finally Lucilia, "You Miss Lucilia, I don't feel anything hostile. You may be a vampire, to me that's a disease. The curse doesn't make you who you are. I believe you are a good soul. You have my aid if you need it, no questions asked." She curiously sniffed a vial of ether. "I guess it is only fair to pose the same question to you now."

Lucilia tapped her fingers together when her own question was posed back to her. Though before she spoke her part, she raised an eye brow at Pylia, who knew the monster's name. "Karnage is it's name? Strange. Well then..." Lucilia took a small cup of Absinthe. Then another, and another. She wasn't even buzzed as she drank her fourth one, but decided that she couldn't keep trying to stall the conversation by drinking. "Rendar... He seems to be a rather average man, if I may be so bold. But you're like a blank slate; perfect for a hero at the beginning of a story. I think you're going to evolve into something much more that you are now. As I said before, Zessoku seems to be rather interesting, in the sense that she brings trouble to her. Never a dull moment with her. And the shady man, the human one, well… He’s shady, no doubt. Though if I could guess, he doesn’t exactly want to put his talents into thievery. The monster, this Karnage, you called him? No comment.” Lucilia laced her fingers together after drinking her sixth cup, her eyes getting droopy and hazy. She hiccupped, knowing that the alcohol was finally starting to take effect. "As for you, Pylia? Hmm... You seem very naive to the world. Not that it's a bad thing; innocence is such a difficult thing to find in this world. Even so, living in a temple, healing the wounded and the sick, surely you too have seen some horrors. Have you ever... Failed to save someone?" Lucilia let her last question slip without thinking about it. While she wasn't "drunk", she probably was going to let her words slip out of her mouth.

At the mention of Karnage's name, Pylia had recalled the Arch-mage had mentioned the name as he addressed the creature himself. "I believe that is what the Arch-Mage referred to it, I could be mistaken..."

At the mention of the blank slate, and the potential of being a hero. Pylia felt her cheeks flush, she decided to try a small amount of the Absinthe. She nearly gagged on the fluid as she was taken off-guard by how potent the drink burned. "Thank you for the complement Miss Lucilia, I hope that your faith in me is true. I've been told my power of Vitalimancy is just beginning to bloom. There is much more then what I know of my mageblood now." At the question of failing to save someone, she felt her stomach churn.

"Yes, there have been a few I couldn't save until I learned more about my mageblood." She thought to the scars hidden by her robes, that would be a story for later. "There was one girl, she was attacked by an undead. Her guts were almost pulverized, she was so frightened." She thought of the look of the poor girl, she felt her throat tighten.

"I promised her I wouldn't leave her side. I spent the next three nights attending to her. Casting every spell I could, until I had nothing left. She hung on, begging me to save her life." Pylia took another small cup of the burning liqueur before continuing. "Her last moments were grasping at me, begging me to save her. After that I began to research what Vitalimancy is truly capable of. I do not wish to see anyone that far gone again."

Aaron spit on the ground by Uicle's head as he passed out. "I am ashamed that this has happened," He said more to himself than anyone else.
"First day of them being here, already two fights have broken out." He flicked his wrist and a small group of about five healers scrambled over to Karnage, lifting him up and carrying him (With difficulty) back inside the school gates, and eventually to the infirmary, where a Vitalimancer and a Demonologist worked together to check his body for wounds and heal him the best they could. Aaron glanced at them as they carried the large form through the crowd, then looked back at Uicle and his Golem.
"And how does he suspect healers get past his golem to help him? He's a bright one, isn't he?" Borvis' voice sounded from behind Aaron.
"Borvis, go wrangle with that demon and banish it fully, then close any portals it's opened. In these times, we shouldn't risk having any portal to the Inferno open, no matter how small."
"Very well, oh mighty Archmage," Borvis said sarcastically. "Oh, and you may want to change out of your bed clothes next time." The vampire chuckled then jogged off in the direction the demon had gone.
Aaron sighed and waved at the golem to move from it's master. If it did, healers could make it to Uicle and bring him to the infirmary.
