Ajax watched as the doors slowly opened, he did not like this at all. Most if not all the gods new him and hated him for being almost as strong as they were. The only ones that could "stomach" being around the quit male were Ares and Athena, both gods of warfare. Non the less he stood his ground, hand clasped around the dogs collar. Kneeling he bowed his head as Zeus's eyes feel upon him, in which he half smiled. "Well it looks like we don't need a search party after all brother!" he boomed as he clapped his brother on the back. "Seems Ajax here fou...." he began to say as one of the other gods spoke up. "More like stole and is seeing the beast is to much to handle." More and more of the gods began saying yeah and destroy him Hades he mad a fool of you. Hades, being angered already, began to agree with the other gods. Athena, having spoken with the man, moved in front of the crowd blocking there path. "Father please listen or at least let me talk to him to see what has happened," she spoke. Yet just after the other gods already started spitting out remarks about how he would lie and he is nothing more then a thief. Looking back Athena smiled as she watched Ajax kneel there unmoving, letting the hateful words roll over and off him like water from a fall.
"SILENCE!" Zeus boomed, "Let the man speak and defend himself first, we as gods do not judge with out knowing everything." He nodded his head at Athena who in turn knelt before Ajax and spoke to him quietly and quickly. "Ajax, what happened? Why do you have Cerberus?" she asked him. "He wondered into my forest, as Zeus to look back in time and Prove my words be true." he said softly. Nodding Athena did just as he said, Zeus looking back quickly protected Ajax from the other gods. "The man speaks true, he did not steal the dog" he proclaimed. Ajax nodded and stood up moving, with the dog in hand, to Hades. Handing him the collar he turned and made his way back to the forest where he belonged. At that moment Athena appeared next to him and placed a hand on his arm, far shorter then he was she smiled up at him.
"Ajax, why don't you come join me for a drink? or even a simple chat, you haven't spoken to me in many days and it has worried me," she spoke softly to Ajax as if a mother was speaking to her child. She smiled softly as Ajax took a deep breath and looked into the forest, she knew he was thinking about it. Then he spoke, though the words were not of the human nature. The howl rang across the valley as if a thousand wolves were howling all at once. As the echo traveled Ajax got a reply from many a direction, nodding he howled once more and turned on his heel and offered his forearm to Athena. Upon taking it Ajax walked with her to the front of the hall, most of the gods had already left so it was just him, Athena, and a small girl Ajax knew nothing about; nor cared to know about for that matter. She was probably like all the rest, judging him before they knew him. "You know Athena, you talk to me as if I was your child. But I kind of see you that way I suppose, you are the only one that's been there for me. Well besides Ares." Ajax said softly, his face still covered by his helmet.
