This area wasn't quite as cold as the city in the north where she had come from, but that didn't stop it from still being unpleasantly so, and the darkened sky did little to help this. The 16 year old half dragon girl trudged wearily through the barren terrain, clad in nothing but a suit of green bikini armor that did little to help ward off the cold. Every so often she breathed puffs of fire into her tiny hands cupped out in front of her body, awaiting the pleasant heat that this provided on her extremities that were being slowly sapped of their warmth to this bleary atmosphere. Her chibi green wings were folded close against her back in order to stop the ice cold sting against the thin membranes, which now had the added protection of being tucked underneath her flowing light purple hair that had become even more of a mess then usual. There wasn't any semblance of a hair style or any hint that she had ever even fixed up her hair in years. Her tail swished back and forth monotonously behind her as she continued this unpleasant journey alone. She had just recently lost the battle in that one place, and although she had recovered physically thanks to her fast healing it still irked her just as much as the cold did, but the later of which was at least improving the longer she walked. That loss, however...how annoying. If only it hadn't been cold she was sure that she could have won and the results of the entire battle would have been different. If only they didn't have those weird weapons to cheat with. Those big cheaters. That was so unfair. Why'd she have to fail to something so horrible as that? Why'd so many people have to die because of it? She kicked a rock laying in the way as hard as she could, which was quite impressive as the rock had no chance of "survival", shattering into pieces more so then being knocked backwards. It was heavier and tougher then she had expected, making her foot throb slightly from the blow.
"Cheater, cheater, cheater," she growled, bending over and trying to ease the pain by pressing up against it. Her tail now flicked around angrily, but then she slowly eased up again and flopped into a sitting position. "I awesome, so not matter. They have problem. Not me. Weak meanies." she reasoned, still massaging her boo boo. Nodding confidently, she got back onto her feet and continued on her way. Her internal flame magically burning inside of her chest had recovered so she didn't feel all that bad any more. In fact she was ready for another fight with someone who would fight fair for once. That would help get her mind off of the current situation. Spotting a town on the horizon with her enhanced vision, she let out a grin and began heading in that direction. Maybe they would welcome her and give her presents or something, or perhaps need her help slaying some evil monsters, in which case they'd still give her presents. That was certainly something to look forward too after such a long day. As she traveled along on her way, she was surprised to see multiple vultures flying around. One landed in front of her, causing an intense staring match between the two. Evvie's silted pupils, with their hint of dragon-like ferocity behind them, won the day and the vulture flapped away without incident.
"Grr! Grr! Go away bad birds!" Evvie shouted at it while arching her back, gritting her teeth, and giving it's fleeing form the death glare. "You not even tasty!" She hissed a few more times for good measure, but at least for now it was clearly not messing with her any longer. The next monster who looked at her funny would regret it.
Feeling good about herself after that victory, she began skipping the rest of the way to the village, not even wondering why so many vultures were around in the first place. That was, at least, until she smelled something horribly off, and then caught sight of the scene playing out in front of her eyes. Her eyes turned back to a serious mode as her pace quickened to inhuman levels so that she could get closer and better see what was going on. Was there nothing but bad news around here? She entered the town to see that the chaos of battle had taken place, and apparently not the exciting kind. Fire was spreading around like mad and many people were placed on spikes who appeared to have not even had a proper chance to fight back. There were also many armed men laying dead on top of this, and only one man standing alive by a giant fire pit. Did he do all of this? Was he a big meanie like that last one? Or maybe he was an unfortunate victim who needed her help. She couldn't tell for sure so she wouldn't attack him. Instead, she made her way calmly up to him, her five foot tall body looked puny compared to him but she didn't hesitate in her step.
"I'm Evvie. What happen?" She asked, eyes focused on him intently, but not having the look of blaming him. She stood with her feet shoulder length apart and her hands clenched into fists at her sides. Her tail was raised ever so slightly as she was on high alert. Due to being much warmer here her wings were able to spread out from her body, flapping and flexing around as a warm up to remove the stiffness she felt in them for being tucked in one position for so long.
