    [Continuum]Shadow Fell (Random Revenant Town)

It was cold or so thats what Toki was stating moments earlier on the plains of this desolated and broken world, but he couldn't tell if it was cold for he himself had went cold a very long time ago. He stared up at the darkened sky which blotted out the sun with sickly black clouds looking as if at any moment the sky would open in on itself and release rain like this land has never seen before. Hokie stared at the sky for a moment longer before continuing to his destined location, a small broken down village ontop of a grey hill it seemed lifeless but it was obvious that something was still moving around in the village for a bright light echoed from the village like a beacon.

His trenchcoat flapped about momentarily as the wind picked up suddenly, it revealed a black armor like kevlar under the thick black leather coat. He continued to move towards the village at a steady pace wanting a place to sit down, even though he was undead he could still feel the bones in his body creak with the ware and tear of non-stop traveling. He looked about wondering where the cat was possibly at sense it was always near Hokie, the cat as if on que appeared to his right padding along next to him with a rather large grin abnormally spread across his face toothy and demented. Toki peered up his fur sparked with darkness as it seemed to vaporize off of his pelt whenever he made sudden movements, "Well, well, well, my friend it seems like we may have a sort of perdicament..." He said in a deep monotonish sarcastic voice, he always spoke this way Hokie could never figure why he couldn't take things seriously.

The town was slowly beginning to make an appearance to the point of where they were close enough to hear ranting of some sort almost a hysterical rant of somekind. Hokie moved his hands in a rolling kind of fashion at Toki who continued walking and watched him as if he were speaking, "Well my dear and close friend, like the last village we stopped by there where the inhabitants were seemingly burned, I do believe we have found the culprits." The cat chuckled slightly as it suddenly appeared on his shoulder, Toki wrapped his long pitch black tail around his body and continued, "Though from what I observed they won't be much.. How disappointing..." Toki said in a scorned tone of voice but still having a bit of sarcasm at the edges. Hokie didn't know what the cat meant by "Be much" he much rather didn't care so long as he could stop walking.

They began to enter the entrance of the town and seemingly like all the other towns they had tryed to stop by it seemed as if all the inhabitants were burned alive and staked on pikes encompassing the town. Now he could hear the ranting which was now more of a preach, "These creatures! These disgusting creatures have invaded the land our god bestowed upon us! We have the right to exterminate every last one of these creature! These "Undead" they are not natural and our god looks down on them as unnatural! For even though they appear as our own they are not, there hearts have stopped but there bodies still move and so I say we will aid our friends this day our holy brethren and end these beings!" Hokie could hear a resounding roar of a group of people coming from farther in the town.

Like a wraith he moved deeper into the town observing the atrocities these people had caused to his fellow people as they were, for like him he was no longer living and felt as if there should be retribution for the acts these people have done. Buildings around him were still burning and screams of people could still be heard from the center of town and the resounding hiss as something set ablaze. Toki picked up speed as Hokie picked up speed as well, "Well things are about to get... Interesting!" Toki stated gleefully doing a kitty skip before jumping through a blazing building. Hokie could feel the blood of his enemies spill across the floor now and it was going to feel so good, his head shook giving a feeling of laughter.

Hokie reached the center of town and what he saw simply pissed him off, the center of town which had once probably had a well had now been converted into a fire pit blazing upwards in a hungry thrashing way only wishing to devour everything in its way. A makeshift ricketty gallows had been built over top of the the fire pit with a hole in the center of it allowing things to be dropped down into the fire pit. A man mid-forties was standing infront of a marble pedestal positioned a couple feet away from the hole, he was waving his hands about as he ranted and cursed at the people who were lined up next to a staircase off the right side of the makeshift gallows. He wondered how they had managed to get the marble looking pedestal from one town to another, but either way he was now standing infront of a group of around 12 armed men though they looked like oridinary soldiers they had a crazed look in there eyes as they stood infront of the gallows and cheered as another victim was dumped down the flaming hole which confirmed the hissing and screaming.

One of the soldiers peered over at him as if sensing the presense of Hokie, "HEY ANOTHER ONE!" The soldier said gleefully pointing at Hokie, the others including the preacher looked at Hokie the preacher seemed displeased for having his rant interupted, "Bring him up here! For stopping me from my holy chant he will be next to burn." He waved his hand at Hokie who tiled his head sideways as two men ran up to him to seize him, when they had gotten two feet from him he responded quickly. He flexed his upper shoulder slightly releasing a strap dropping two black shining Semi-automatic pistol into his hands, the man coming up on his left flank didn;t expect this as he attempted to grab Hokies arm.

Hokie rolled his shoulder as the mans gripped his upper arm bringing his shoulder forward and the man closer he then jabbed his elbow which slammed into the mans face with a crunch, he screamed instinctually covering his bleeding nose that was crushed against his sloppily. He stumbled back expecting this Hokie brough his gun around after the Jab and Fired consecutive shots into his chests which tore through his body with no effort. The guy on his right flank had more time to react and pulled a blade which he swung in a downward arc on Hokie, he brought his left handed pistol and caught the blade as it came down catching it easily. He dropped with the blade bringing his right leg under his opponents legs and swept his legs from under him the man gasped and fell surprised dropping his weapon which Hokie threw aside with his Pistol. Then while laying parrallel to one another he rolled over using his right pistols muzzel to push him self into the air and fired shots as he barrel rolled upwards the man was pelted with bullets and Hokie twisted his body landing back onto two feet.

The two men bled across the floor dead at Hokies feet, he looked up as the rest of the men rushed him blades pulled as they pushed to avenge there fallen brethren. In turn Hokie rushed them closing the distance very quickly catching the off guard as he came up on the first man he pressed the muzzle of his right gun against his chest pushing him into a guy behind him before firing 6 shots into his chest, the bullets tore through both of them causing the main frontal ribs protecting the heart to shatter as the bullets pierced there bodies. He juked around the lifeless corpse and pistol whipped a man who had though he would get him while he was distracted instead of simply pistol whipping him he continued to spin firing the gun that had just pistol whipped the man hitting and individual that was starting to grab a shield hitting him in the thigh and cutting a tendon he fell over screaming, as his right hand passed the man who got pistol whipped he squeezed a single shot into his head spraying chunks across the ground.

He continued to run forward after the death spin another soldier came at him with a pike stabbing at him with quick strikes, he raised his guns up catching the pike as it jabbed outwards again they crossed like an X and caught the pike on its shaft between the guns, he quickly pushed upwards barely dodging the jab, before the man could pull back he brought both guns in an X firing two shots each gun as he did this (EPIC X CUT!!!)the man dropped his pike and fell to his knees bleeding from wounds from his collar bone and neck and a single chest shot. He could feel a blade slice along his back with no effect for his back was protected by a thin plate and kevlar, he turned quickly grabbing the mans shoulder and pulling his arm over his shoulder and threw him into a group of two other men who tryed to scatter but got caught under him, Hokie then fired a couple more shots and ended there lives.

The final man standing held two swords he had a long sword and a half-hand sword, he spun them before coming at him with the blades. Hokie could feel that he didn't have many shots left in his gun and would end this man as quick as he could manage which he ran forwards meeting his blades with his guns. His opponent has some skill trying to cut low to high before he would juke to cut his head, but never the less Hokie managed to get behind him by rolling his half-hand up and disarming him. Now with only one blade he attacked Hokie but fired his last shots into his legs which crumbled and he fell bleeding out across the floor, he approached the man and lifted his head in both of his hands before gouging his eyes out with a sickening gush then with both his thumbs in his eyes he jerked the mans screaming head cracking his skull. He pulled his fingers from the mans sockets and shook them of the gore.

Only two men were left, the last soldier was cradeling his thigh moaning near the base of the gallows tears rolled down his eyes. The other man was the preacher who was pale standing behind the Pedestal openmouthed at his men that were effortlessly slaughtered. Hokie approached the man cradeling his thigh and with his steal toed boot gave one sharp kick to his face caving it in with a sick squishing sound causing his brain to immediately hemorage before losing the lift it held. Hokie witha single bound jumped onto the gallow to the right of the hole and pedestal, the preacher laughed at Hokie who approached the preacher, "YOU MAY KILL ME DEMON BUT THE TEMPLARS WILL PISS UPON YOUR CORPS-" He was cut off as Hokie smashed his face into the pedestal of marble, the front side of his face was caved in and he only gave a gurgled attempt at speaking before Hokie dumped him itno the hole.

He watched as the man writhed at the bottom trying to scream but to no avail, Toki appeared ontop of the altar and chuckled, "Well my friend that was.. rather messy." He said raising his paw over his unnatural smiled as he chuckled. "Now what?" Toki asked Hokie who sat down watching the man burn to death. "We.... wait....." He uttered in a low hushed whisper.

This area wasn't quite as cold as the city in the north where she had come from, but that didn't stop it from still being unpleasantly so, and the darkened sky did little to help this. The 16 year old half dragon girl trudged wearily through the barren terrain, clad in nothing but a suit of green bikini armor that did little to help ward off the cold. Every so often she breathed puffs of fire into her tiny hands cupped out in front of her body, awaiting the pleasant heat that this provided on her extremities that were being slowly sapped of their warmth to this bleary atmosphere. Her chibi green wings were folded close against her back in order to stop the ice cold sting against the thin membranes, which now had the added protection of being tucked underneath her flowing light purple hair that had become even more of a mess then usual. There wasn't any semblance of a hair style or any hint that she had ever even fixed up her hair in years. Her tail swished back and forth monotonously behind her as she continued this unpleasant journey alone. She had just recently lost the battle in that one place, and although she had recovered physically thanks to her fast healing it still irked her just as much as the cold did, but the later of which was at least improving the longer she walked. That loss, however...how annoying. If only it hadn't been cold she was sure that she could have won and the results of the entire battle would have been different. If only they didn't have those weird weapons to cheat with. Those big cheaters. That was so unfair. Why'd she have to fail to something so horrible as that? Why'd so many people have to die because of it? She kicked a rock laying in the way as hard as she could, which was quite impressive as the rock had no chance of "survival", shattering into pieces more so then being knocked backwards. It was heavier and tougher then she had expected, making her foot throb slightly from the blow.

"Cheater, cheater, cheater," she growled, bending over and trying to ease the pain by pressing up against it. Her tail now flicked around angrily, but then she slowly eased up again and flopped into a sitting position. "I awesome, so not matter. They have problem. Not me. Weak meanies." she reasoned, still massaging her boo boo. Nodding confidently, she got back onto her feet and continued on her way. Her internal flame magically burning inside of her chest had recovered so she didn't feel all that bad any more. In fact she was ready for another fight with someone who would fight fair for once. That would help get her mind off of the current situation. Spotting a town on the horizon with her enhanced vision, she let out a grin and began heading in that direction. Maybe they would welcome her and give her presents or something, or perhaps need her help slaying some evil monsters, in which case they'd still give her presents. That was certainly something to look forward too after such a long day. As she traveled along on her way, she was surprised to see multiple vultures flying around. One landed in front of her, causing an intense staring match between the two. Evvie's silted pupils, with their hint of dragon-like ferocity behind them, won the day and the vulture flapped away without incident.

"Grr! Grr! Go away bad birds!" Evvie shouted at it while arching her back, gritting her teeth, and giving it's fleeing form the death glare. "You not even tasty!" She hissed a few more times for good measure, but at least for now it was clearly not messing with her any longer. The next monster who looked at her funny would regret it.

Feeling good about herself after that victory, she began skipping the rest of the way to the village, not even wondering why so many vultures were around in the first place. That was, at least, until she smelled something horribly off, and then caught sight of the scene playing out in front of her eyes. Her eyes turned back to a serious mode as her pace quickened to inhuman levels so that she could get closer and better see what was going on. Was there nothing but bad news around here? She entered the town to see that the chaos of battle had taken place, and apparently not the exciting kind. Fire was spreading around like mad and many people were placed on spikes who appeared to have not even had a proper chance to fight back. There were also many armed men laying dead on top of this, and only one man standing alive by a giant fire pit. Did he do all of this? Was he a big meanie like that last one? Or maybe he was an unfortunate victim who needed her help. She couldn't tell for sure so she wouldn't attack him. Instead, she made her way calmly up to him, her five foot tall body looked puny compared to him but she didn't hesitate in her step.

"I'm Evvie. What happen?" She asked, eyes focused on him intently, but not having the look of blaming him. She stood with her feet shoulder length apart and her hands clenched into fists at her sides. Her tail was raised ever so slightly as she was on high alert. Due to being much warmer here her wings were able to spread out from her body, flapping and flexing around as a warm up to remove the stiffness she felt in them for being tucked in one position for so long.
