Not sure where this is going to take me but...
I'm here because I've been tempted back to roleplaying by the release of The One Ring, but being middle-aged and away from the hobby for a few years (decades actually) I have no regular set of gaming pals.
I'm hoping to find a few like-minded, mature, serious-minded [I]and erudite[I] souls who'd like to participate in a game of TOR online. The fact there's a dedicated forum for Advanced Roleplay is what sold this site to me over it's competitors.
That's about it really. If you want to know more I'm happy to respond to messages here or PMs.
Welcome to the Guild, Friar Tuck. I hope you find plenty of RP to enjoy here, there certainly are plenty of fantasy fans here as well as many table-top players without groups who have made this their home. If you have any questions about how things are done around here just ask, plenty of helpful people around to answer. I do suggest you read this Guide just to see how things are set up just in case it is different from what you are used to. Let me know if I can be of any assistance. Happy RPing.

We'come to the guild...
Are there areas beyond Tolkienverse you are into RPing about?
What sort of characters are your favorites? Good/evil? human/non-human? male/female/other?

Although I haven't played much at all in recent years I've generally preferred 'good' characters, not so fussed about race or gender though.
I should also say I enjoy fantasy settings that are magic 'light' (though not non-existent).

we do hope you find yourself some RPs in those categories here, just don't be discouraged if it takes you a day or three... The good ones are out there, even if you can't seem to find them at first.
