For the past 5 years, a nearly endless war has been raging across eastern Europe. Belarus and Russia have been devastating and crushing their neighbors, and the other nations move to protect their own borders. The EU mobilized and has invaded former Estonia and Latvia in an attempt to restore sovereignty to these Baltic States. Almost 8 million have died in this war, and the body count will just keep rising. With no end in sight, and the U.S. crumbling under economic, social and political collapse, there can be no definite winner. With no country willing to use nuclear weapons on their home continent, and no country willing to ask for peace...this war will only worsen.
Meanwhile....5800 miles south, the nation of South Africa has rapidly developed from a second-rate country to a major power. They've become the 8th most advanced country in the world, and have captured Zimbabwe, Namibia, and nearly a third of Nigeria. With a military matching most European countries, and a powerful economy, they are the strongest country in Africa. French naval vessels attempted a close inshore recon of the coast, but were chased away by SADF naval vessels. This caused both the EU and South Africans to become wary of eachother...
"Take up your sword, the sword of the brave
You fight for legion you fight to the grave,
For death and for glory your spirit won't die,
Legions of steel to battle you cry,
Hail to the heroes stand to the last!"
