    Remnants (ignore post count)

The world is full of what are known as remnants. Remnants are people that have passed on but not, in other words, people that have somehow survived an even that should have killed them. An example of this would be a survivor of a car crash. They were hit directly, and they were supposed to be dead after the incident. Instead, only a piece of their soul passes on, and the rest of their soul remains within their body so they live on.

Three consequences come from becoming a remnant. One, you are a being that is breaking the laws of reality by still existing. By breaking these laws, they each receive a special power they can use at will. Two, because you are breaking the rules that the universe, god, or whatever you believe created everything in the universe, it creates more abnormalities to claim the rest of you soul. Three, although this is only a theory as many remnants have the same nightmare, that once a remnant dies they automatically go to a hell like realm. The reasoning for this is that all remnants have a dream of being in the same hellish area if they survive long enough in the living world. They believe this is their future because technically their soul has already passed on, so they have no place in paradise, so they automatically go to hell.

So, your place in the world is a fresh remnant. There are very few who know of the remnants and abnormalities. My place is one of those people who want to help your character and we'll go from there.

    Any takers?

I might be interested in this. Very unique concept.
"We can reject everything else: religion, ideology, all received wisdom. But we cannot escape the necessity of love and compassion.... This, then, is my true religion, my simple faith. In this sense, there is no need for temple or church, for mosque or synagogue, no need for complicated philosophy, doctrine or dogma. Our own heart, our own mind, is the temple. The doctrine is compassion. Love for others and respect for their rights and dignity, no matter who or what they are: ultimately these are all we need. So long as we practice these in our daily lives, then no matter if we are learned or unlearned, whether we believe in Buddha or God, or follow some other religion or none at all, as long as we have compassion for others and conduct ourselves with restraint out of a sense of responsibility, there is no doubt we will be happy." ~ Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama

If you're considering doing more than one of this back story, I might be interested in playing.
