Xavier waited for her reply. If she didn't care for his suggestion, he would have politely made leave. Luckily she conceded to the idea with a nod. He gave Amalthea another low bow.
"Thank you, m'lady. I am grateful that you offer a bed and tea to me, yet let me make this request of you. I will repay you in kind before I depart in the morning," Xavier told her as he straightened himself. He listened to her further information about the stream in the forest to bathe, and simply nodded. He had bathed recently and found there was no need to do so tonight. Probably better to stay low and under cover and then leave before most woke up. That was his plan, that was usually what he did coming to a town. He would get provisions, making sure to pay for them, maybe do some job or kindness as a way of payment instead of having to use coin for everything. He would stay the night, and leave early the next day without a trace, not even leaving a track, because usually he'd fly away from towns so as not to be tracked. Better safe than sorry, he had learned early in life.

"He does not look like a cruel dragon," Xavier said to Amalthea when she mentioned her dragon. He also had to agree not ever having met others of their kind. Runemir had seen one flying far off before, but it had disappeared in a cloud bank and was never seen again. Wild dragons didn't care for the dragons that have been imprinted to a human. But then Amalthea departed without another word and Xavier was left with the two dragons. Runemir watched the other dragon rise and open the door further, Xavier noted the difference he had in anatomy than Runemir. The female dragon took a single step closer as Azazel grew closer, breathing in his scent. Her mind was whirling at being able to interact with another dragon.

Greetings, dark one, Runemir spoke telepathically to Azazel. Xavier heard her thoughts, but figured he probably wouldn't be able to hear Azazel's reply. Though the man had to note how Runemir's fluster had dwindled and now she was trying to be polite to Azazel, as if wanting to make a good impression with her first interaction with another dragon.

Inside her home, Amalthea brewed a small pot of tea over the fireplace. As she waited for the concoction to boil, she tended to a few of the neglected duties of her home and tidied up a bit. She couldn't stand a dirty home. It seems that one of the bandits had infiltrated her home, and she sighed in discontent as she cleaned up the mess that had been made. At least the man named Xavier chose to stay outside, as he would not see the mess that was now her home.

Outside, Azazel had not made any notable advancements, merely continuing to inhale the dragon's scent and gauging her...well, everything. It was his first encounter with another of his kind, and he was much more pessimistic when it came to the character of others, especially with a situation like this.
Greetings, he finally responded, his voice considerably deep. Removing himself from the shelter of the barn, he stepped out into the light, continuing to watch them with curious eyes.

As the black dragon stepped out of the barn, Xavier was almost impressed at his size and build. He was, as one could say, a very handsome dragon. Runemir purred in agreement as she watched Azazel. The rider felt obliged to give this dragon a bow, and he did, a very deep one.
"Hello, Azazel. I hope you are willing to be as welcoming as your counter part and allow my dragon and I to bunk with you in your warm barn. We mean no harm, and won't take up space for too long. But it would probably be best for us to get off the streets. I doubt even here people are not very fond of dragons," Xavier spoke to the black dragon, then started walking to the barn, but stopped after a few paces.

"Runemir, come along. Don't act like such a little girl," Xavier told his dragon. After a moment Runemir followed, turning to look at Xavier and go into the barn, though she kept Azazel in her peripherals. She folded her wings tight against her body as she entered the barn behind Xavier. She then proceeded to curl up, much like a cat, in a corner of the barn. Xavier waited until she was settled before going up to her, and sitting on her forepaw.

Runemir still watched Azazel with interest from the barn, and it seemed they waited in silence until Amalthea came out with the tea. Though it seemed to take awhile for that, but then Xavier recalled her mentioning chores that needed to be done as well.

"I would guess we don't have much longer to wait," Xavier mused to himself.
