So you say, a gymnast can do what a cheerleader can do? Yeah, don't think so. Cheer is more than just tumbling around on a mat.._.
You asked for a discussion and yet your unable to hold a logical argument. You can hardly reply with more then a few lines. Have you given any examples of what cheerleaders do? I think not. I agree with Aragorn, cheerleaders have to take piece from gymnastics to be able to do what they do. Cheerleaders, need team work, dance and the ability to either throw or be thrown into the air. I'd like you do a floor routine without bouncing around after each tumbling line. We have to stick it. We need perfection. Hell we get marks taken off for having one tiny piece of hair out of place. And I haven't even begun on the other events that gymnasts have to do.

If you want to be respected for your opinion stop acting like a child.

I'll make it quite simple for you =

    1. Gymnasts have a much more advanced and complex training than cheerleading.
    2. The both of them are sports, as they are competitions for both.
    3. A Gymnast CAN perform MOST of what cheerleaders do, but Cheerleaders CANNOT perform what most Gymnasts do, for the simple fact that cheerleading isn't as rough and demanding as being a Gymnast.
    4. If you open a discussion in which you do not know what the answer really is OR making one that has a question, there are HIGH CHANCES people will not agree with each other, Including yourself.
    5. And quit being a child about it and think our opinion doesn't matter if you actually made a thread to get our opinion.

From what I've seen, gymnasts require much more body strength and coordination. Not to say that cheerleaders don't, but it's to a lesser degree. For example, I can't see a cheerleader doing the rings, or the saddle, or performing some of those mat routines you see on TV, with the double or triple backflips, and landing perfectly still on your toes. However, I think they serve slightly different purposes. Gymnastics is meant to showing your physical prowess and capabilities, while I've always seen cheerleading as more of an entertainment thing. Meant to help give people a sense of energy and excitement.

Is it just me or is anyone else suspecting she made this thread(s) and possibly only joined the guild for...

    a) To reinforce/comfort her own opinion/belief that cheerleading is the same as gymnastics
    b) To try to put cheerleading under a very positive light among a roleplayer/internet community?
