I think Romney was going to let the States decide on it, like how he was going to let the States decide a lot of things. Which I think is a good idea. Obama on the other hand just wants whatever he says to be law throughout the land so yeah.

I always thought 'civil union' was just another word for marriage, really - similar process but set apart from marriage - except it had less benefits.
