    Hmm... Call back the fighters begin a slow retreat towards the planet while still firing on the Mon Cal ships with the Star Destroyers while the smaller ships fend for themselves and do their best to harass the enemy.

    The second Carrack, the one nearly disabled, is withdrawn. Three more Carracks are also damaged heavily and withdrawn.

    The second Republic MC-80's shields have completely failed, leaving it extremely vulnerable to disabling or destruction.

    Fighter battle continues, with 11 X-Wings and 34 TIE Fighters destroyed.

    Withdraw the shield failed mc-80 leaving two mon cal cruisers left in the battle. Bring the first withdrawn cruiser back into the fray once its shields have regenerated. Continue focusing on destroying the carracks, switching the smaller ships to focus on the Carracks.15 squadrons of X-Fighters continue pursuing the TIEs, with 5 left behind to cover the fleet as an anti-bomber screen with the corellian corvettes and the Nebulon B Frigates. If a larger anti-fighter ship gets close to gun range the X fighters will break off and head out of gun range to re-engage the fighters but if they can't they will return to the main fleet.

    I'm back, sadly my Internet simply did not work for some time, so I had it replaced. Which has taken for ever to get done, but finally I have Internet back ... and I've missed everything!

    I don't know much about whats happened In RP, other than the Battalion guarding the Ion Cannon are terrible soldiers, and Kreel doesn't understand the Art of Fighter Combat.

    Also, the way I planned on have Tikirt bombed in (not that it really applies now, but eh)

    7th Air Wing - Mostly comprised of TIE Fighters, this Wing's goal was to run Air Interdiction over Tirkirt none stop. Meaning shoot down anything that flies over Tikirt, that isn't flying Imperial colours, and fly support for the 78th during bombing runs.

    256th Space Wing, - These fighters and bombers are based on the Imperial-II Star Destroyers in orbit, well one of them that is. Their goal was to run interference for any force trying to leave or enter Tirkirt, and with the fact they're started in space, they had orbital supremacy. The Bombers of the 256th were to run support for the 78th, if need be.

    78th Air wing - The Bomber force of the attack, composed of several breeds of TIE Bombers and gunships, these craft were meant to lay down the hurt on any Defenses and such being built in Tikirt. During an attack by the 78th on the city, the 7th would run support.

    Size of these forces would be about a hundred or so craft, to about hundred and fifty craft per a wing. However the 256th is an even larger force, since it's based on an Imp-Star, it size is around 90 fighters, 40 bombers, and a hand full of gunboats that like to kill things. I should note, I'm not quite sure on the Imp-Star numbers, it's been a while since I looked them up.

    So intotal, your looking at around ~340 craft running daily sorties on Tirkirt.

    EDIT: It seems my numbers on the ImpStar are way off, apparently they don't carry bombers for some reason another, however they do carry a nice load of Gunships. That number being anything from twenty to thirty.

    TIE Fighters number is correctly 72, not 90.

    Ah you are indeed back. Ignore the second part of y reply to your pm lol. That's good, and we can just say for now that the Republic fighters and anti air kept the Imperials off their back for the moment; I said as much in my post so were good. The Republic troops in the feint are going to start withdrawing now if you wanna throw up a post with your actions based on what's happened.
