Since the beginning of time, Earth had a way of using everyday worldly items to magic. The Greeks were most famous for it, using their arrogant gods and goddesses, to relate to everyday life. Yet still they were the pioneers of everyday science ( how pathetic ) Yet we move on because that's how life is. No matter how unsure or how sure we think we are, we will never be completely sure. We must be complete in order to understand because without that fragment we'll always be one step back .... A stone throw away ..... or be clicked with life. We must learn to find the stationary in ourselves to find the answers so maybe on day, we clicked with life _ like a stable to paper. Also I got this from bakemonogarti OP such an amazing anime.

Origins
Ray is a well traveled Mage with a dark past. From meddling in dark magic, murdering an innocent man in a black ritual, serving a Vampire lord in return for saving his neck from the magical chopping block to exorcising a young man of demon possession after manipulating him into killing the aforementioned vampire lord in order to escape and start a new life in England (a short-live one at that), his thirty-six years of life have been...well, interesting, to say just about the least.
Through a life of turmoil, stress and danger he has found a nice niche teaching kids to defend themselves from evil forces.
He still blames himself for his loss of innocence (and the loss of his love), as well as all the other bad things he's done in his life, but he hopes to redeem himself through his work at the school.

Physical appearance of character
Ray is a man of average height and build, with medium length dark hair slicked back to keep it neat (and hide the time it's been since the previous wash). More often than not, this is accompanied by a thick beard, which he guesses kind of goes with the whole 'wizard' thing.
Dress-wise, he's very modest, wearing dark jeans, collared shirts with a hoodie and dark grey, tweed sports jacket and a pair of sleek slip-on shoes.

Personality of character
Ray is a closed off person most of the time, the kind of guy who doesn't give too much away. People often mistake his quiet, blunt nature for rudeness, but he just doesn't open up anymore. Whenever he does, he displays a sharp, sarcastic (often self-deprecating) wit.
However, he has all the time in the world for his students and is known to be more relaxed toward and around them than he is with other faculty members.

Ray is a "professor" of Divination and Exorcism, who can also teach offensive magic if needs be, though it makes him uncomfortable.

Powers
Ray specializes in Divination and Exorcism, having traded money for his services in divination and having performed a successful exorcism to drive out a particularly powerful demon before.
In addition to that, he also excells in Thaumaturgy, as well as having a more than rudimentary knowledge of black magic. These two he talks very, very little about.


I hope that's okay. Pretty much all of his backstory has been set up and explored in other RP's.
I just really love playing this guy.
