Astrella looked out at her kingdom. A beautiful expanse of farms and villages dappled the lush, fertile land her ancestors had settled upon centuries prior. She lifted her eyes to view the majestic purple mountains. She sighed as she looked beyond, catching a small glimpse of the ocean her land spread to. She brought her hands to her face and gave a soft sob. A raven settled upon her windowsill, transforming into her brother, the sorcerer Andrew. He held her as she cried and unburdened her heart to him. He smiled and kissed her head. "Dear sister, I shall send a decree." He called in a page, who wrote as he said and gave the messanger the decree to be carried to all the nobles.
"From the Queen Astrella;
I summon all unwed noble men to my court. I feel it is time to chose a king to share my kingdom with. The date is set for a week from my messanger's return. The gate will be closed once he has entered my castle's walls. I anticipate this meeting with you all and wish you blessings with travel."
