So, I began thinking of this whilst watching the History channel. What if someone who shared the ideals of the infamous Hitler came to power? So, I wanted to make an rp about it to see

It is just a normal day in America; birds are singing, the wind is blowing, and the sound of artillery shells blasting into the ground echo throughout the states.

"This just in, America is under siege by Communist forces!" the broadcast begins playing on he news channel, mere moments before all channels are overwritten by President Dannel's Face, the backdrop being the Oval Office.
"My dear Americans; you fiercely loyal men and women of the red white and blue. As many of you may have heard, the foul forces of Communism have infiltrated our country; defiled our land. We are doing our best to thwart them, but our best is not good enough. As much as it pains me to say this, our beautiful America is going to be overrun. I wish I could give consolation, but I cannot. The most I can do is tell you to not back down. Fight tooth and nail for your country. I don't have much more time, but Americans! Take up arms! Defend yourselves against--" a gunshot drowns out the President's last words, for last they were. As millions of shocked Americans watch, the elderly president's head seemingly explodes, and his corpse slumps in the seat. More gunshots and shouts fill the audio, and suddenly, the face of a young Asian man fills the screen.
"Měiguó shì wǒmen de!" he says, before the screen goes black.

This will be a rebellion roleplay, where the last of the free Americans try to retake their lands. And, possibly, save the world while they're at it.

I could see myself possibly getting in on this.

I'd be interested, on the condition that the plot is a bit more nuanced than some cheap Red Dawn RPG. That's not meant to insult you at all, but the "communists are a comin' " idea is a bit played out, not to mention extremely unrealistic.

It's more of a 'Sacrifice for your country' thing. On terms on what's going on, it'll be quite realistic (It won't all be peaches and cream. They will struggle as any rebellion would.).

This is just one part of a series I'm going to eventually be getting around to starting all at once.
Blood, Sweat, and Tears (Not out yet) all take place in the same universe, at different times. Blood is 2000 years after the nuclear war (Which may or may not happen in this rp. Hint hint.) and is a Magic rp. Sweat is right before the war, the rebellion and the end, and Tears will be, hopefully, right after the war, with the survivors.

I agree with The Everything that this could get a bit cliche, but once it's more solidified, I think I could be interested!

I've never played any games or done any other rp's like this, so if it's cliche, it's entirely by chance. But I hope the plot I have in mind isn't cliche.

The background story for something like this is very important. I haven't seen Red Dawn, but I've played Homefront, and that game has a very solid and authentic background story.
