It's been a policy since some people tried to turn an intro into a mini "Pointless thread." no one's getting hurt but this isn't the place for that kind of thing, that's why we have the member lounge after all.

Well, it hurts the relevancy of categories... the strength of a forum's ability to differentiate topics and therefore maintain better order is dependent on how strictly the rules are enforced.
