For years factions of Planet Earth have been in a war centered around the struggle of power with the passing of Avelli Murdis, the authoritan voice that guided and controled the city states of Planet Earth. Having no successor, the descenants of the royal family began to fight for control. At first it had been slander, backstabbing, quiet assassinations. Then the Rebel Voice, a faction of militants looking to over throw the throne, took it to an entirely different level. Within days the royal palace, the seat of power, was in ruins. The entire world was thrown into chaotic turmoil, the structure fell apart. Those who were not afraid roamed the streets, formed groups, all with different morals and motives. Those who were afraid lived in terror. But this story isn't about Earth, because Earth is just a battleground.
No, this story is about Luminaria, a planet that had kicked off the beginning of the Interworld Colonization Project. From far away it was a planet of brilliant color of blues, green, and purples. The city of Hedgerow was established within the middle of an area that resembled the tropical rain forests of Earth. Luminaria has an atmosphere that is breathable by humans, the only side effects are some people may experience a feeling of light headedness, nausea, and dizzyness until they become used to the atmosphere. At higher altitudes the effects are more common. The last ship from earth is about to arrive, containing refugees, General Kendrick is the man in charge of the militarian city, charged with the task of leading his people, protecting them, and establishing a new life on this planet.
Recent exploration attempts have proven uneventful for the most part. It is known that there are vast ammounts of exceptional and extraordinary creatures on the planet, but only a few species have been observed. The jungle area as been dubbed The Wilds, and within there are many species of flora and fauna. Many of the animals are hard to spot through the dense undergrowth and plant life, some are friendly such as the dog-sized six legged, energetic slug like creature, minus the slime. Or perhaps the most commonly seen, the Faux, a small globe for a body with a 360 film attatched to long, thin apendages. The creatures maintains flight by spinning in rapid circles.
You, can play whatever you like, You're creativity will mainly focus on the human side of the story, meaning technology, interactions, etc. Where I would like to play the other side of the creativity. The story goes that on some sort of expedition you're character and mine meet. Mine will not be of the human race, but will be a humanoid. I roleplay as a female, because I am. I roleplay with both males and females. If you want to do a post concering the subject at hand or just to show of writing potential feel free to do so. Please put "Faux" somewhere in you're post.
I'm not a picky roleplayer, but this is not going to be limited to just sex, even if I'm not against the idea. It's about what I've explained above although romance is not out of the question. You're limits are my limits. I post anywhere from 2 - 3 paragraphs usually, I expect my partner to do the same. NO ONELINERS EVER.
Steampunk Technology ideas~ to help that creative thing in your head.
Think Clockwork, tesla, steam, solar, grungy industrial style.
I will be playing a character dubbed Fay by the humans. The fay are only supposed to be a rumored myth, and many of the tales very from an enchanting alien goddess who will steal you away like a siren, to the long fanged predators, to the ghostly apparitions. There are few who claim to have seen these such rumored creatures, a purple limb here, a blue face. But there is no hard evidence and it is one of the most popular topics of the militant city.
Also! We can do this over forum, pm, email, or I have MSN messenger, if you wanna beable to chat on msn pm me and ask ^_^

Interested, I'm not too used to steam punk but I can look into it some. As for post length I usually try to keep 2 + paragraphs,(occationally I end up with a short chapter of a book though.(6-8 paragraphs)) but occasionally in heavy dialogue I may falter to 1 paragraph, that's a paragraph not a 1 liner though.
