Nicholas walked along the damp sidewalk, his chauffer parked a short ways back, as he'd been instructed. The angel opted to keep his wings tucked so they weren't visible, not really wanting the attention he knew would come from showing them off. After all, he was here on business, well, somewhat. He mostly just wanted to have a peek around the few shops in the rather run down town that actually held things of interest.Nicholas had never really had an attatchment to possessions, but he did enjoy collecting things of beauty and value for the sole purpose of keeping others from taking such objects.A smirk made it's way onto those cold, yet warm-looking lips as the male continued his walk at a pace of blatant leisure. His grey gaze peered through the store windows, assessing and evaluating each product set out for sale among the common people.'Pathetic.It seems as though God has even less affection for you insolent creatures that he does the rest.Otherwise you might be bathing in glorious luxury, as I do.' he thought cruelly. He continued on his way, paying no heed to the much younger and poorly living creatures around him.Nicholas had no heart for any other, not since God had focused all of his attention to the beings he'd created on earth. The male found his gaze slowly focused on a sign that merely had the word 'Shifter' enscribed into it's wooden form. His interest piqued at the word and pursuaded him to enter the establishment in search of something worth while.

Upon entering, Nicholas was met with the sight of cages against every wall, each filled with a creature who appeared human with a strange collar about their throats and barely clothed so to be able to tell their sexes apart easily. The angel slowly walked around the establishment until a short, rather pudgy demon with a dirty apron came to greet him with a smile and a stong, thick accent."Ah, Mista' Straus.Pleasa' t' see ya' out n' 'specting my store on such a fine day, sir. What be ya' fancy, iffin' I might ask?A servent?A pet?'R maybe somethin' more exotic?", the demon spoke, walking at the male's side as he waited for a reply."Actually, I'm just looking around today.I was wondering if you'd happened by anything of my specific interests by any chance.I've actually just broken my last pet and would rather like one that's more...Durable to replace it."The short demon scratched his stubbled chin in thought before looking back up to the angel,"Well, we act'lly jus' came 'cross a rare 'n.'E's a beaut, 'e is, but 'e's been tryin' t' 'scape since day one.So 'e was gonn' be exicuted t'day, sir."Nicholas allowed the male to lead him out to where a lone male sat in a barred, cold cage, seeming to have lost all will to live at the moment. The fallen smirked at his find,"I will take him.A creature that is so strong in spirit should surely be far more durable than my last.Have him ready for me imediately."Nicholas walked over to the cage and reached his hand inside, gently stroking the male's cheek."My, my, such beauty. And what name have you been given, child?Or shall I decide that for you?", he smirked, excitement flickering in his grey irises.

    OOC: It's all good.

[SIZE=2]It was never in the plan to end up here. Gray eyes looked around the dirty establishment. It was riddled with filth and disease. Most of the 'products' were ill and trying to get better to be sold off. Reiko looked at his hands and a low growl formed in his throat. His neck tilted up and he came face to face with the top of his cage. Then he looked forward to his bars and could barely squeeze his hand through let alone shift to escape. He had made several attempts to run but he was caught each time and beaten for it. Bruises covered his torso and wrists. Reiko turned and saw the owner of the store getting ready for the evening. The boy had escaped one for many times and now his life would end. Many other captures warned hom about struggling against the owner and masters. It was too late. Reiko looked at the floor of his cage and a dark aura seemed to cover him. Thoughts wandered to how he even got there.

The day was a sunny one. Reiko's village of shifters lived in the mountains to avoid the other species. No one ever wandered outside the village. However...they were found... The village was in chaos. Women screaming and children crying as slave traders were grabbing and caging whoever they could get their hands on. They only took a few men but many women and children. Reiko's home was a little outside the village and his eyes widened at the smoke rising into the sky. He turned to the door and opened it. "Mother! Run! Take Daniella with you!" He shouted. Reiko and his father Gardon ran into the village to try and stop the men from taking the villagers. The boy shifted into a small house cat and began to claw at one humans neck cutting one of the main veins. He was thrown off and his body hit a tree with force causing him to revert back into a human. "Stupid beast." A man hissed. That's when Reiko looked up to see a human shoot his father. "Dad!" He screamed and a hit to the temple sent the boy into darkness.

Reiko was knocked out of his daze when he heard the door open and the store owner talking to someone. The hair on his head tensed when he heard the owner speak of his escape and the other man requesting a slave that wouldn't break. His gray eyes darkened when the man reached down to touch him. The boy didn't like that and his hand slapped the man away. "Don't touch me you dirty creature..." He growled and moved as far as he could into the cage. He could have bit the mans entire hand off but the cage was way too small for him to change.

OOC: I don't think you quite understand what I meant by shifter. The Shifter race are not meant to be able to shift into simple animals such as cats and dogs, but rather ferocious beasts that in the origin of my storyline once ruled over the land.If your character is to remain a feline, he must have a feline beast as his shifter form, but I would prefer no nekomatas since they are outrageously over used.

OOC: It's not so much that it needs to be just a larger cat, but it has to be a beast. The Shifter race are supposed to be descendants of giant beast gods, so when they shift, it should be a creature that strikes fear in common people.I'll send you a picture of what I mean, just give me a few.And its fine, miscomunication is bound to happen online.

At the disrespectful attitude of the child, a chuckle escaped the fallen, his attention completely caught by the unruely boy.How refreshing it was to find an unsubmiting creature who would hopefully fight back and keep things interesting for a while.Without a moment to spare, Nicholas reached his hand into the cage once more and took a rough hold on the boy's throat before pulling him closer,"Now, child, I shall give you the benefit of the doubt this time, seeing as you have obviously been raised poorly and not been taught manners. However, my patience ends there, so save yourself the trouble and just be a good boy."As he finished his threat, Nicholas gave a brief, but tight squeeze to the little Shifter's throat before releasing him and pulling his hand back outside the pars of the cage."I will take him, shopkeeper. Now, would you be so kind as to fetch my chauffer from down the street?I will send my payment tomorrow," the fallen spoke as he eyed his new prize, his eyes glowing a dim red in an excited manner. The round demon nodded before walking out to go retrieve Nicholas' chauffer, just as he'd been told, leaving the angel and the boy alone in the shop to have it out for a few short moments. With a grin, Straus watched every movement of the other, taking in the child's mortal beauty that enraptured and excited the male greatly."You mortals are so fragile in both mind and physically speaking.Though past your weakness, you are all very beautiful, especially the exotic ones, such as yourself.Though perhaps you will only hate me, which I fully expect and accept, I will not tolerate misbehaviour, so it would be in your best interest to do as I say, child," He said in a prideful manner before the shopkeeper returned with a tall and slender masked man behind him.

Nicholas nodded to his chaffer, the masked man, and watched as the male walked over to the cage and effortlessly picked it up, even with the lad inside. It was clear that both he and Nicholas were nowhere near normal, not even in this beast-run society where you were sure no creature would bring surprise. The chauffer carried the cage out to the car and slid it into the back seat before shutting the door rather loudly and going to hold open the door for his master. The angel slowly walked out of the shop and slid gracefully into the back seat next to his pet, not even flinching as his own door was nearly slammed and his chauffer climbed into the driver's side to drive off.Nicholas looked over to his pet, a cool gaze playing over his face as he spoke once more,"Now, boy, I will only ask you once more in a civilized manner, what might your name be?I would very much like to adress you by it rather than just calling you 'boy'.If you still refuse, then I suppose it would be best to teach you some manners when we arrive at my home."

Reiko didn't realize the hand was on his neck till he hardly could breathe. His eyes widened and he looked at the man with contempt and hatred. His lungs tightened as his hands reached up and grabbed the fallen angel's wrists tightly. He gasped for air as his eyes closed tightly. They opened slightly to look at him as he muttered a threat and pulled him close to the bars. The boy gasped when the cold metal pressed harshly against his skin as if he was being forced to try and slip through the bars. Once the man in front of him finished his threat Reiko felt release on his throat and he coughed holding it. His head turned quickly to bite the mans hands with his human form teeth but the hand already retracted outside of the cage. A growl emanated from the boys throat as he stared the man down. How he would pay when he got out of the cage. He would rip his head right off the second he got the chance. Reiko listened to the man ordered the shopkeeper to retrieve someone. He then felt red eyes on him and he moved back into the cage his growl becoming apparent. He then listened to the man's speech on how he was supposedly weak. With an angry growl Reiko's body began to transform slightly but the second he grew the cage constricted him and he returned to his human form looking at the man with contempt and hatred.

Once the chauffeur walked in Rieko eyed him carefully as he approached the cage. The male picked it up with ease and Reiko lost his balance and collapsed to the floor of the cage as the man moved. He was put into a rather nice carriage but he looked around for the angel to come up and he began to put up his defense. There was no way in hell he was going to bow down to him. Even if it meant death. He was already prepared for the shopkeeper to kill him. He would have preferred it that way. Reiko's gray eyes turned to the angel who was sitting next to him. 'Not yet...' The boy thought as he eyed the man carefully before turning away. Thats when he heard the mans threatening words again. The boy glared and hacked back before he spat in the mans face. There was no way he was going to give in with a simple threat. The mention of manners almost made the boy laugh. His 'owners' were more unmannered than he was. They were downright sick perverts that got their faces torn off. At the thought of it Reiko smirked not only at spitting in the fallen angels face but also the thought of ripping off his face.
