Nicholas walked along the damp sidewalk, his chauffer parked a short ways back, as he'd been instructed. The angel opted to keep his wings tucked so they weren't visible, not really wanting the attention he knew would come from showing them off. After all, he was here on business, well, somewhat. He mostly just wanted to have a peek around the few shops in the rather run down town that actually held things of interest.Nicholas had never really had an attatchment to possessions, but he did enjoy collecting things of beauty and value for the sole purpose of keeping others from taking such objects.A smirk made it's way onto those cold, yet warm-looking lips as the male continued his walk at a pace of blatant leisure. His grey gaze peered through the store windows, assessing and evaluating each product set out for sale among the common people.'Pathetic.It seems as though God has even less affection for you insolent creatures that he does the rest.Otherwise you might be bathing in glorious luxury, as I do.' he thought cruelly. He continued on his way, paying no heed to the much younger and poorly living creatures around him.Nicholas had no heart for any other, not since God had focused all of his attention to the beings he'd created on earth. The male found his gaze slowly focused on a sign that merely had the word 'Shifter' enscribed into it's wooden form. His interest piqued at the word and pursuaded him to enter the establishment in search of something worth while.
Upon entering, Nicholas was met with the sight of cages against every wall, each filled with a creature who appeared human with a strange collar about their throats and barely clothed so to be able to tell their sexes apart easily. The angel slowly walked around the establishment until a short, rather pudgy demon with a dirty apron came to greet him with a smile and a stong, thick accent."Ah, Mista' Straus.Pleasa' t' see ya' out n' 'specting my store on such a fine day, sir. What be ya' fancy, iffin' I might ask?A servent?A pet?'R maybe somethin' more exotic?", the demon spoke, walking at the male's side as he waited for a reply."Actually, I'm just looking around today.I was wondering if you'd happened by anything of my specific interests by any chance.I've actually just broken my last pet and would rather like one that's more...Durable to replace it."The short demon scratched his stubbled chin in thought before looking back up to the angel,"Well, we act'lly jus' came 'cross a rare 'n.'E's a beaut, 'e is, but 'e's been tryin' t' 'scape since day one.So 'e was gonn' be exicuted t'day, sir."Nicholas allowed the male to lead him out to where a lone male sat in a barred, cold cage, seeming to have lost all will to live at the moment. The fallen smirked at his find,"I will take him.A creature that is so strong in spirit should surely be far more durable than my last.Have him ready for me imediately."Nicholas walked over to the cage and reached his hand inside, gently stroking the male's cheek."My, my, such beauty. And what name have you been given, child?Or shall I decide that for you?", he smirked, excitement flickering in his grey irises.
OOC: It's all good.
