Space communists that go with the "join us or die" route.

    Yeah I suppose they might.

Hey. With their race, the communism works. Hell, many are just fine with their communism. I'd join them if I wasn't shit in my pants scared of Commissar Yarrick

I'd join them if it weren't for the fact the Tau Empire would be roflstomped if any of the major races really turned their attention to wiping them out ;p

Also I like the Imperium's Architecture more.

Of course they'd fail because the SW Captains are idiots who'd wait before Feeder Tentacles were caressing their hulls before they realised they should have been shooting before now
I don't see how that would help them

"Oh yea we can outrun the tyranids!"

Blow a few million away with long range bombardment. Flee. Repeat.

It's not outrunning that's the value. It's the ability to put a very large fleet where they are. Wait until the Tyranids begin to feed and use one of their Superweapons to just blow up the planet. (Or the Sun if the Suncrusher is around.)

But this is really a scorched earth proposition, even the Imperium balked at that when Inquisitor Kryptmann proposed exterminatusing a metaphorical 'firebreak' in front of the Tyranid advance.

Probably because the Imperium doesn't have a set of massive industrial-ball planets as core worlds to fall back on.

Arguable, there is -one- advantage the SW Universe would have as well against a Tyranid Advance. Their Jedi & Sith. Especially the well trained ones, who could probably feel the telepathic links between the various Tyranids... With the ability to screw with them or sever them entirely. I mean... They can mind puppet most sentient creatures in the galaxy. That could be insanely powerful against a Tyranid advance.

Actually it would be the jedi who go insane. Have you seen what the warp shadow of the Tyranids does to Imperial psykers. Plus the hive mind would be far too large to be properly fucked with by one like piece of food.

Imperial Psykers are already a little... Unhinged. I'd mainly give the Jedi a shot at it because their powers utilize "The Force", which appears to be equally or even greater in size to the Tyranid hive mind.

Plus they wouldn't need to possess or send a kill order--just disrupt. Like throwing static interference into a radio wave, or turning on the microwave beside your wireless router. That's where I could see, maybe, combined with the superior speed and massive industrial complex in the core worlds, that they could potentially push away a Tyranid invasion. And unlike the 40K universe, if the SW universe saw a threat to its existence, old enemies could (and would) put aside their differences in order to survive first.

Whislt I know nothing of D&D I'm sure it works out the same. Oh and *Spoiler alert* Bleach actually does have something similar to the D-balls. The Hogyoku can make anyones deepest wishes come true that's how Uber-Broken-Aizen became immortal.

Well I guess the main point is he kills gods for a living XD I accept a mutual stalemate between Bleach/40k/Kratos/Chuck Norris

If any were to meet it would be the unmovable object and the unstopable force.

Edit: oh and people remember! if the orks banded together thier psychic consensus would be stupid. As in 'oh look planet, I wonder what would happen if It dissol......oh there it goes...'
