Not running out of GM's so much as I just try to pick people from my list based on a variety of random reasons that change time to time. I try to make it a currently active GM and I only take suggestions from people OTHER than the GM (though and exception or two has gotten by) but I've got a couple of newer (to here) GM's lined up for the next couple so it isn't so much a "legendary thing."
I believe the term "legendary" when referring to something like GMing is pretty subjective. Is it based on the length of one's RP in terms of pages? Length in terms of months/years it's been up? Activity? Popularity? Lots of factors go into deciding what it means to be a successful GM. So really it's not so much as finding "legends" but rather just interviewing GMs that have strengths in at least one good quality so that, upon reading the interviews, people can learn to be successful in a number of different ways. Mimicking one GM's style to a T probably isn't the best idea, but learning from the experiences of many others and mixing their advice to produce what works best for your RP is the smart way to do it.
So, yeah. GM's don't have to be legends to get into the interviews, they just have to be good at some aspect of it.![]()
