I use fraps, and as you can imagine, it reduces my frame rate down to a crawl. Back then, I had no idea how to optimize my computer and Minecraft, but now I've learnt to use Optifine, Modloader, Minema and I've learnt how to scrub my computer clean of old devices in order to properly install new ones. So yeah, if you want better video quality than that, do what I did. Took me hours and alot of hardwork, but the result's worth it.
