I always considered him at least at least partially a Paladin. He DID have almost all of Beatrix's Paladin attacks like Shock and Climhazzard, after all.

Beatrix didn't need Vivi for those attacks though. In fact her ability slot litterly means holysword.

The plot is decided by how you guys play it. We are just starting as the guys of Tarturus are landing. Everything else is critical choices. I hope you guys enjoy that.

Neither did Steiner. That was just a Mystic Knight combo attack and had absolutely nothing to do with Steiner's ACTUAL attacks (Minus Strike, Mental Break, Armor Break, Power Break, Magic Break, Darkside, Iai Strike, Charge!, Thunder Slash, Stock Break, Climhazzard, and Shock), the last three being the same as Beatrix and Thunder Slash being exactly like General Leo (Paladin from FF6) and being inspired directly by Knight and Holy Knight abilities from Tactics along with the Break abilities. He's part Paladin, dude, and he doesn't need Vivi to use any of that.
