I must say, I have never encountered that problem. I had multiple religious friends of different faiths. One of them sang Jesus songs at random times (it was weird, but didn't really bother me any because it was just one song a week pretty much) and another one for the most part only talked about her religion if I brought it up and only ever asked me to attend her church once.
It's just these two girls I met in a biology class freshman year. I've never met anyone else quite so persistant.
