*Category: Uncategorized (but probably 1 <.<)
Date of Birth: June 16th, 1889
Date of Death: June 15th, 1910
History: Before her death, she was a typical rich person. She was cultured, educated, and talked about politics and science with her father every day, though only within the house. That's about all she can remember, but there was much in scandal in her family that she doesn't remember, and most of it centered around her. Had she remembered who she was, she would have known that the scandal AFTER her death was about her. She had been unconscious (in a coma, to be precise) at the time, vividly dreaming of a fantastical world. The dream was brought to her by someone hired by her father (though she didn't know that, and never learned about it afterward) who was able to get into people's heads and manipulate their dreams; this person is now known as a rather benign djinn within the SBD, though he has yet to contact Amy, if he's even seen her. As it turns out, that djinn was partially responsible for her death, as he was the one who put her into the coma, therefore not allowing her to wake up when the person entered who was about to bash her head in with the solid gold candlestick. He had been a guest in the home, as that night there had been a grand party for almost every rich person in Wales, including King George V (who chose not to attend. That bastard).
The murderer, to the best of her knowledge, is dead already, and it no longer concerns her. However, Amy would still like to find her name. When she "woke up" as a ghost, she saw what had happened to her, and immediately fled the house, unseen by anyone but the servants and the hired djinn. She caused a lot of havok on the way out, unintentionally breaking almost everything she passed, appearing as a strong gust of wind through the halls and corridors. When she arrived outside, she was...shocked, really; her departure had taken what appeared to be a full night, but upon turning around to reenter the house, it had clearly been abandoned for at least a year. She spent quite a while in the streets, wondering, but subconsciously knowing, why she never had to eat, drink, or sleep. And not once had she felt safe, though she knew not why. It was enough to make her leave for America, despite some of the things she'd heard.
She stowed away on a ship easily enough after almost 20 years, despite still wearing her sleeping clothes that she'd died in; before, whenever she'd try to change them, they'd always just reappear on her body afterward, which she found quite frustrating. She still can't buy clothes off the shelf, but she doesn't need to. She can change them innately, with just a thought, and in quite literally the blink of an eye. She found the SBD fairly quickly...or more precisely, they found her at the docks. They'd already heard stories from the other passengers on the ship of an eerie feeling in the cargo hold by the time she left the ship. Thankfully for her, they didn't see a need to push her into her death. In fact, they even gave her a license to stay among humans. She did, however, study law in her first years as a human, and in various "incarnations" (she tries to keep herself as up to the minute as possible, calling herself the "ghost of christmas present" in recent years, and has to change her appearance every few years to not make people suspicious of her). She continues to update her education in each incarnation, and has become a lawyer within the SBD, with many friends she likes to go out to dinner with in other departments. She sort of misses food in these instances, but usually fills the time now with conversation instead of creepy intense stares at people's plates.
Personality:
+Not too worried that she's dead anymore, and can usually pass as a normal human, including when she gets to be social in public.
-On that point: She's not very good at it, even though she UNDERSTANDS the culture.
-Not computer savvy. As in she can't see anything but a dull gray glow from the screen for some reason. This includes any electronic device, including phones (though she can use wall phones and "dumb" phones just fine).
*Other: She doesn't need phones to call people, but when she haunts phones, even her SBD friends find it creepy (she can HAUNT smart phones, she just can't use them). Also, she has a certain penchant for dusters and stetsons, and occasionally wears them. And by occasionally, I mean most of the time. Additionally, for some reason, the only songs she can hear from digital media players and computers are by Pink Floyd. Everything else she hears is just a repetitive succession of four drum beats.
