Jacy laid on her bed, staring at the ceiling and daydreaming about what her performance was going to be like. She could just picture the rushing waterfall and thick mist, the smoke flowing into the crowd. She pictured herself wowing the audience as she revealed her voice, and was hoping that everyone would like her outfit. It was hard to wow people when they expected a girl to be wearing something short and revealing or long and elegant. They're looking for someone unique, not for someone the same as everyone else. Jacy convinced herself. Even this far away from the stage, she could still hear the crowd roaring, and all of the girls getting ready backstage. The constant noise made it hard for her to think!

Annie was getting a little nervous about her performance. She went into the girls bathroom to practice. She liked looking at herself in the mirror while she sang. She then stareted to think about her outfit. What if they don't like it? What I'd it doesn't go with my song? A bunch of what if's keep running through her head, one by one. What if I mess up, what if my voice cracks? no, that won't happen. I'll be fine She continued to sing her song.

Jason saw Ty walk backstage. "Dude, come on," Jason whispered. Spinner remained frozen, staring at the crowd with wide, open eyes. He didn't move. "Spinner, come on! It's alright!" Jason nudged him, but Spinner wouldn't move. Jason shook his head, biting his lip. He was beginning to worry about Spinner. "I'm not going to leave you hear alone. Come on!"
Jason ended up grabbing Spinner's arm and pulling him backstage, no matter how hard Spinner tried to stay there. "What's the matter with you? By standing there like that, you've made a complete fool of yourself!"

Kat looked in the mirror once more. She preferred doing her own make up but this was a life time oppurtunity, so she let it slide that the make up artist had to do her make up. After the make up artist left, a hairdresser came in and set her in a chair. She cornrowed three braids on each side of her head, giving off a fohawk look. She added hairspray to keep it still, "Good luck sweetie!" Her hairdresser smiled as she left. Katarina's outfit was ready on her bed, but befoer she could try them on she foorgot all about her traditional vocal techniques. She stopped mid way when she heard a knock. "get backstage in five!" A voice yelled through. She nodded and went to her washroom to get dressed, careful not to ruin her hair and makeup. Soon she was in full outfit. She practiced her song in her head as she imagined all eyes on her with the fireworks framing her curvy shape. She hummed her song quietly as she exited the room, towards backstage.

"You're to do your performance in a little while. Are you sure you're ready? Perhaps you should recite your song, I mustn't let you make a fool of yourself on stage." She told Jacy. This woman looked quite "glamorous", from her silky blond hair to her unique, detailed outfit. Her shoes alone must have costed a few hundred dollars!
"I have my song ready. Who are you?" Jacy asked, tucking her dark brown hair behind her ears and slipping her shoes off of the bed guiltily. This lady seemed nice, but she also seemed very orderly and demanding of a lot of things-almost determined to get everything done.
"I am Elizabeth Bratolli, and I'll be mentoring you for the time being. Although you'll get several mentors throughout the show-that is, if you make it.." The lady eyed Jacy suspiciously. "I will be mentoring you just for the beginning of the show. Is that clear?"
Jacy continued to stare at the lady until she realized that Elizabeth expected Jacy to answer her. "Oh, yes-I understand." Jacy told her.
"Alright, as you are. You're to perform soon, so I expect that you have all of the lyrics memorized, correct?" Elizabeth asked. Jacy nodded. "Great, now tell me the seventeenth word in your song."
Jacy gave her wide eyes, and then began reciting the lyrics in her head, counting the words with her fingers. It took her several minutes, but eventually she figured out that it was feel.
"If it took you that long, how am I to expect that you know the words?" Elizabeth asked, giving an astonished look as though it was the most terrible thing in the world to not know the seventeenth lyric in her song.
"Be-be-because, I know the lyrics when they're in order..I don't have all of the words memorized inside out!" Jacy chuckled for a moment, but the lady's serious face creeped her out.
Elizabeth sighed, shaking her head. "I suppose we should check your vocals-it couldn't get much worse than your lyric memorization." Elizabeth said, as though she had felt bad for Jacy.
"I feel so close to you, right now, it's a force field-"
"For starters, right now has a pause for a reason, it is so that you can vocally correct your voice so that it is low enough for how the pitch is supposed to sound." Elizabeth scolded.
"I feel so close to you, right now, it's a force field-" Jacy stopped, expecting to be interrupted. Elizabeth only stared at her expectantly. Jacy continued to sing uninterrupted, and Elizabeth almost seemed to be enjoying it! "and there's no stoppin' us right now, I feel so close to you right now." Jacy finished.
"I must admit, that was quite well done, but you'll need a lot more practice if you intend on winning. Have you seen your competitors? You have a great voice, but you need to learn how to use it correctly. I assume you've never had any vocal teachers who privately teach you and find ways to strengthen your voice, correct?"
"No.." Jacy said.
"Well, you sure will."

Quincy ran onto the stage late panting. "SORRY! I'm not too late am I?" He looked around and two interviewers walked towards him and he sighed in relief when they asked for his name. "Quincy! Or you can call me Quincy Ray!" "How do you feel about being on the show?" Quincy looked at the two as if they had ten heads. "Are you kidding me!? Being on this show is like the greatest thing that could ever happen in any mortals life!" "Do you think you have what it takes?" "Well....Not to brag or anything but music is the thing I'm best at. I think I'll be successful enough." "Do your parents support you?" Quincy gave them a thumbs up. "Course my mother did until the day she died and my pop he certainly does. He was a musician too!" "What is your life like back at home?" "Back home is pretty nice, out here is kinda weird. So laid back, where I come from people are usually all busy-like and more aggressive." Quincy explained laughing afterwards awkwardly and scratching the back of his neck. "Quincy Reids you're needed in the dressing rooms!" A woman called out. "See ya!" Quincy winked at the two interviewers and ran to the dressing rooms. "You're late." One of the make-up artists stated putting his hands on his hips disappointed. "Sorry..." Quincy pouted and they pushed him down onto the chair to begin working on him.
