Germany has signed the Treaty of Versailles, World War One is over. The troops of the Allied Powers are eager to return home, the British ones especially. While it's well-known that the Allied Powers success is largely in part to the British Military's large contingent of Deep One soldiers, many Britannians revile the Deep One population as a whole, largely in part due to racial prejudices. A select few Britanians, however, see the Deep Ones as simply misunderstood as a race, and seek to get others understand that. As the citizens of Great Britain begin to get back to the way things were Pre-WW1, a group of Communist Revolutionaries, inspired by the beginning of the February Revolution in Tsarist Russia, have started to rise up against the British Parliament and take over to create a communist Britain. In response to this threat, the Parliament has given British citizens constabulary powers to reign in the Revolutionaries, with government backing. Now, as the Communists fight with the Constabulary, shadowy forces are at work to bring other-dimensional beings, The Great Old Ones, into our reality.

I've always liked the cthulhu mythos but I've never read the books. I should get around to that sometime.
