Name: Thomahal (Tho-mah-hal) the Avaricious
Appearance: On the upper end of 'young' for a Ithuri, Thomahal stands at 7'1". He has skin of vibrant gold, and eyes of cool silver, with bright, diamond white hair in a tight, four foot braid, augmented with finely crafted and jewel encrusted ornaments. The picture of Ithuri beauty, he radiates confidence and grace that even the most savage of the lesser races would recognize. His very presence is pleasing; everything just seems a little brighter when he walks by. His vitali work with every curve of his musculature, forming designs that make him appear a walking piece of art more than any creatures of flesh and blood. His clothing is the highest of finery, custom made by the greatest tailors any noble could ever hope to commission. He would not be out of place in the highest of courts or the grandest of balls. His movements are deliberate and smooth, his gait, a flowing.
Skills: Incredible business sense, firm grasp of psychology and scrutiny of all of the four main human races and his own, immaculate grasp of rhetoric, a great deal of personal resources and wealth. Minor skill with dueling, and hunting, to fit in with nobility. In addition, he has several vitali: (Which will be described after I get a little more detail on them)
Biography: Thomahal left Dalrenhil several times as a young Ithuri, working as a hand for one of the traders that went to visit the lesser races. Once there, he was fascinated by the... submission of the lesser races to each other. It was obvious, of course, that the average human would always be lesser than the average Ithuri, but the greatest of humans, in their vast wealth, commanded such incredible power, forcing submission upon all those with less. An admirable way to put humans in their place. Thomahal became fascinated with wealth, seeking it with the vigor that the humans did. He worked until he had enough reputation and wealth to start his own caravan, and then began reaping the profits himself.
Thomahal soon discovered another boon to being amongst the lesser races. With his wealth and appearance, amongst other things, most were wise enough to recognize him as their better. Ithuri, however, had this annoying little habit of assuming that just because they were Ithuri, they were better than everyone else. Sure, they were better than the AVERAGE human, but so many had an undeserved sense of accomplishment, and did not show proper humility around one as accomplished as he. Even though the culture of his homeland was superior, his exposure to outside races left him disliking his own people. As he was amongst the greatest of the Ithuri in terms of influence, he found it fit to go places where his influence and accomplishment would be properly recognized, instead of squandering it on the arrogant, unaccomplished Ithuri at home.
Thomahal found most humans to be rather simple minded, and easy to predict and manipulate. Using his vast superiority, he made numerous decisions that quickly lead to renown across most major cities and great profit. Now, he is preparing for his greatest venture yet, which should cement his position as the greatest merchant in the world; he is going to cross the buried road and bring a large shipment of goods, as well as transferring cargo for several people, including nobility, to the other side, where he can sell them to the upper class for drastically increased prices. The lesser races with their inferior greed see the sandstorm as a bane, a curse. But to the Avaricious, this may be his greatest boon.

Chi is an Ashareen of Marekhan who is 17 years old standing a short height of 5.5 feet. She has ebony skin that is practically flawless and very dark, large blue eyes which are often seen as beautiful. Her hair is black, short and fluffy with two long strips on either side of her face that reach just below her shoulder. She keeps each piece tied with red leather strips so that it won't fall in her face, her hair is jet black. Chi normally wears men's leggings and a simple white shirt and avoids dresses at all costs.
Chi is a skilled singer and often sings in her families pub/inn for entertainment, she can also play a range of musical instruments in which her favorite are the flute and piano. She is also pretty skilled with throwing knives and daggers, she is quick and agile but not very strong.
Chi's mother and father both come from middle-upper class families, they met through an arranged marriage and that was that. They opened up an Inn/pub called the Sapphire Dragon in the city of Angarak’s Fall because her mothers family wanted her too live close by. When Chi was born her mother and her father were disappointing that she had not been a boy, thus she was of no use. They didn't treat her with all the love parents should but instead she was frequently beaten and told she was a useless burden.
When she hit 15 she started to become more of a woman and it became apparent that she was, in fact, beautiful. Her mother took this as a sign to start lining up the suitors for marriage, which left Chi in a rather desperate situation. She began hiding herself by wearing men's cloths and cutting her hair into odd styles so that her suitors would be put off by her unladylike appearance. She now works as a waitress and entertainment in her families pub, her skill with a blade often leaves her to stopping bar fights and keeping the pub free from trouble.

Aloha. Will be completely finished later. If this RP is too full I'll just wait until you're done with your exams before entering, Rulaan.
Appearance: this includes age, gender and race. Akhiliar is a twenty-nine year old male Ashareen. He has, strangely, dark blue eyes and is generally rather ebony. His hair is brown and hangs unruly around his forehead and ears. One cannot easily see this, however, as he hides most of his face in cloth, wrapping it around his head to protect him from the sands and the sun. Akhiliar is a tall man, strongly-built. His blinded eye isn't covered and is a bit frightening to most. His clothes are those of an ordinary desert dweller, but underneath he wears leather armor.
Skills: Akhiliar is reasonably skilled and experienced with the sword and usually is rather lucky.
Biography: Akhiliar was born in Lazarne, in the house of a rich merchant family. Being the third son of the family, he had plenty of time to sneak off and would often spend his time with the Qondaran in the city, hanging around them like flies with rotting fruit and would often only return when nightfall struck, disappointed. Of course though, that return would often be accompanied by beatings for sneaking off, but nonetheless he would always visit the Qondaran when they were visiting the city. Akhiliar's restlessness would cause him to sometimes go with them for weeks, onto the Grasses and to Jerichus. As he kept going off, his tutors stopped beating him and just gave up on him, though one tutor would always accompany him. Nonetheless, despite all these little adventures, he didn't grow up to be a failure or uneducated, but rather a bit less Ashareen than his brothers. He was not particularly gifted, though luck seemed to be usually on his side. Furthermore, one of the things he did have somewhat of an interest for was swordplay, though he never became as excellent at it as his eldest brother.
After he hit maturity, he left his paternal house for good. Like many younger sons, he joined a band of mercenaries and fought numerous skirmishes with the Ghandish near Ghandrest, which ensured his capture. A while later one eye of his was blinded and he was lashed a hundred times by the Ghandish as punishment, after which they rubbed salt in his wounds. And after all that, he was freed in the desert, perhaps the most cruel of punishments. It seemed luck had abandoned him, yet after a long journey in which he almost died out of thirst, he reached Ghandrest and rejoined his company. He didn't fit in anymore, however. Though he returned a freed man, Akhiliar had been scarred by this experience and left Ghandrest as a broken man, not being able to hold a sword again without trembling. He returned to Lazarne and his paternal home, which he found empty - his parents had died and his brothers had divided their possessions between them. Embittered, he joined a Qondaran group that was heading into the Grasses once more, only being allowed to join because of a Qondaran childhood friend. He left Lazarne because there was nothing left for him there. Akhiliar rode with the Qondaran for five years, slowly recovering from the trauma he had received in the Ghandish desert. He was accepted into the tribe as an old friend and he fathered numerous children with a woman of one of the Elephant tribes - three sons, and one daughter. After three years, Akhiliar recovered from the bad experience in the Ghandish desert and fought numerous skirmishes with the Hunter-God tribes with the Qondaran that had taken him in, though he was soon wounded again. As those five years passed, the same restlessness that had taken him in his youth began to emerge and he finally bid farewell to his wife and children, setting out to the south. Akhiliar often returned for his children and wife, but in general never truly returned to the Qondaran Grasses. A hardened warrior now, he once more joined a company of mercenaries and fought across the Bay of Blades against bandits, warlords and especially the Ghandish, for whom he holds an intense and burning hatred and for whom he has no mercy.

With my friend Fussiler1's arrival, I have expanded the max players to 13 FOR NOW. Thus far, 11/13 slots are taken (although one or two are uncertain at the moment), which means there are two more vacancies until the 1st of December, where I will be taking another four or five players. If we reach the max, please PM me to be part of the waiting list! You can make a character sheet if you want, or ask questions about the RP, or whatever.
Players part of the waiting list will be added to the roleplay in randomly (so no First In, First Dressed concepts here) whenever a vacancy is available. This will happen if there is a drop out or I decide to open the roleplay up to new people.
--Reserving a spot--
Name: Xavic Iblis, pronounced as "Savic"
-Minus the pointy ears. Xavic bears a resemblance to his kin. A grey shade of skin color accompanied by humanoid features. Xavic wears a mask in order for him to avoid being seen/noticed/remembered when doing his 'swindling and cons'. Xavic also wears a sleeveless black armor and black pants with his blade hanging from his back. Xavic also wears light running shoes. Due to his lightweight armor, Xavic is able to run faster and be more agile.
-Sight of the Unknown: Since Xavic is a djinni who is blessed with a power of foresight, he uses this to his advantage(mostly in swindling people, which is wrong but he doesn't care). Using a deck of cards, Xavic predicts the future of someone who asks for it. This future is a 'rapid' prediction, meaning the person has a chance to change his fate but even the simplest of actions or things can change the outcome, his fate may change for the better or worse. So, Xavic's first ability is Foresight.
-Dexterity and Agility: Xavic is an agile thief. He can jump quite easily and slip unnoticed. He can run faster(due to everyday escaping) and fight more quickly. However, a downside is his lack of defense equipment. His laughable rag armor offers no real protection but he makes up with his agility and dexterity with a DAGGER.
-The Third Eye: Xavic's prowess as a djinni is seen of him being a vendor of various talismans and pendants that claims to offer "LUCK". While these really offer luck, the effectiveness is based on the wearer's belief in LUCK. Wearing a pendant that Xavic has forged grants a mediocre yet useful luck and fortune, like winning arguments or remembering stuff that were supposed to be forgotten. However, rare.. although, not unheard of, some pendants he crafted can save the wearer from death albeit the pendant/talisman shatters upon saving the wearer.
-Lying: Yes, he's a big liar. Do I need to emphasize? However, his lies can be detected.
Spoiler-Men of Shadow. Certainly, he is one of them. Born on the rough and violent roads of the kingdom, Xavic had given Death the middle finger countless of times already. Where bloodshed occurs, even 6 year olds can be taught to wield a knife. Xavic, by the age of 15 already began to fend for himself. Using various con and swindling tricks(mostly in cards and bets), he hustled some money. However, no thief is never caught. Xavic was caught once for the first time and he almost paid his life when he saw the future of how he can escape and by that, he escaped with his life yet still hot on the trail. Due to this, Xavic has been learning to escape at the first sign of trouble but the most important aspect would be his devotion to Jester. The god of the djinnis. By his devotion, he had attained some sort of Luck Aura. While this luck rarely show itself, it became useful in near death scenarios.
The rough life on the street, this is Xavic's fate. Since his devotion to Jester, he had developed a business of fortune-telling(albeit not really telling the truth to the person but charges a wad of money) and Talisman/Pendant vending. He has become infamous over the town of his 'business' yet no one dares to question him yet. His identity as a thief was forgotten by the time he had the business only this time, he has a new image as a liar. As long as Xavic can live for a day, he doesn't complain and anyway, he can see the future and knows when he'll die, so he isn't really bothered. However, there's still this longing to go on an adventure. Something thrilling that will make his life worthwhile. Xavic has tried to shrug this off but it still keeps coming back. Perhaps, he was already getting bored with his life with swindling people. Maybe he wanted more and more, he wanted a life free from escaping and running everyday. He wanted a life where he could explore to his heart's content. The only thing stopping him would be, HOW would he start? He always had an interest in the sands of Ashara and the secrets he holds... however, he couldn't go there alone now could he? He needed a companion but his kin will only backstab him should he attempt to ask for help. Due to this, he has given up his dream... or not.
Every time, he looks outside of the kingdom, he sees a wide opportunity of adventures. Adventures that he can savor. Such thrill and zeal that he can remember for ages to come. He might know the future but he's still wondering... can he ever find the secret beneath the sands that envelop the Ashara? If the Eye of the Unknown can't fathom it, how can he? Or... could he only know the answer by finding it out himself...?
NOTES ON LUCK AURA:
-The Luck Aura that was bestowed on Devon due to his devotion to Jester, grants him a mild fortune when undertaking tasks. This is really a meager fortune/luck that rarely, as in super rare, take in action. Let's say that out 100, the chances of this Luck to take place would 5/100 which is really small.
One example would be when Devon was escaping from a band of people who wanted to end his mischief. He ran through the streets and was faced with two paths. He would take the straight road or go left to the alley. His mind wanted to go straight but something kept telling him to go to the alley, saying that it's gonna be better. Devon obeyed the inner voice and turned to the alley but later found himself at a dead end, facing a wall. To most, this would be the end but something caught Devon's eye, a small crack in the corner of the dark alley. He kicked this crack and a small space crumbled open. Devon entered this space and was out of sight when the mob cornered him.
Soon, Devon realized that if he took the straight path, there were assailants waiting for him from the shadows and he would inevitably die. The Luck aura intervened and helped Devon out of trouble. It seems as though, the more pressuring or fatal the event, the more chances that the Luck will trigger. However, the Luck is not forced. Devon must still make the choice, just like how he chose the uncertain way and ended up escaping... when he would have chosen the straight path and be stabbed by a dagger before he could take 5 steps.
