Marksman's rifle? Err... I was looking at a light machine gun... I may have done my research totally backwards. The M14 SMUD was the choice I made because the rounds were thick, high velocity, and heavily piercing. If the M249 meets those prerequisites, sure!

I did a more thorough search, and yeah, its actually only an M14 marksman's rifle that fires 7.62s, I'm not a fan of the clip size

5.56? I'd prefer the 7.62, like the SMUD... if it's not too much of a peeve to you, Spectre (sorry, I can't get used to the American form >.<) I'd prefer it if you used the M14 SMUD. Think of it this way; it's basically an M14 National Match Rifle. If it really bugs you though, feel free to use your rifle. It'll be a smaller size, less penetration, and not quite as loud of a TUMP-TUMP-TUMP sound, though.

Besides, the M14 SMUD I mentioned was modified, meaning it isn't outdated anymore. I don't know if that matters to you or not.

I'd actually like to use a Mk 48 Mod 1, its fires 7.62s and has the capacity and scary as fuck looking body of an M249, so basically, a merging of both worlds in to one bastardized monster of a Light Machine Gun
