Fluffy&Sakari-What Is Wrong Could Always Be Right

Robyn sighed, her alarm beeping loudly. Her hand reached out and slammed down on it. Trying to get it to shut up. Why? She didn't want to get up just yet. Her dream had been wonderful and now she had to wake up and go to the hell hole she called school. Pushing herself up she made her way into the bathroom and took a shower. Her body soaking up the water and warming her up and waking her up. Climbing out she towelled herself down and dryed her long blonde hair. Her big blue eyes looking in the mirror. School. She only went because of her friends, she was rich and populer and got everything she wanted but she wasn't exectly smart. She was a ditzy blonde bimbo as most people called her but she didn't care.

Pulling on her short skirt and tight white top she made sure her long blonde hair was bouncy and hanging just below her shoulders. Her big blue eyes outlined with black eyeliner. Her lips painted red and were pouty and luscious. Turning on her high heels she made her way downstairs and kissed her mother and father goodbye before climbing into the limo.

Pulling up at the school gates she climbed out and thanked Housten for the ride. He just nodded and wished her a good day at school. Making her way inside she felt her boyfriends arm around her waist and her friends chatting and talking to her. Inviting her to parties and such. It was obvious that she was the leader of there little group though she may not be brainy she was organised and tried to get things done on time. Her homework was always done even if she only got Bs and Cs. Kissing her boyfriend goodbye and telling her friends she would see them at lunch as they headed off towards there first classes. Biology was hers. Entering the classroom she took her seat, her long manicured nails tapping at the metal surface creating a clinking sound as she waited impatiently for the teacher to arrive.

"What time is it?!" Joshua hissed as he was awakened by the sound of an operating showerhead on a cold Monday morning.
"Six forty-two," he heard his father tell him.
"Shit." He rose from his bed, his warm haven from the cold and apathetic world; the only warmth he'd felt for a long time. Now that the weekend had come and gone, another week of Hell had advented in his life: school.
Joshua was a very intelligent young man. In fact, he was above average and nothing short of brilliant compared to the imbecility of his classmates. The only difference between he and them, though, was that it was the last place he'd rather have gone. With his guitar hung delicately on his wall, his amplifier plugged into his room and his pick on his vanity, all he needed to live life to the fullest was to not be hampered by education. The fact that he was forced to elarn that which he'd never need to know angered him. Worse yet, the Fallshire High School*'s band system did not allow string instruments, for it was only for orchestratal instruments such as the trombone Joshua played in Elementary school, before he bought his precious ESP LTD AX-260.
After dressing, being driven to the school and thanking his father for the ride, Joshua shuffled in a zombified state to his homeroom: room 58 in the science wing, exiled from the rest of the building like a deserted island. The homerooms were categorized in alphabetical order, yet Joshua couldn't help but feel that he was assigned classes with the idiots of his grade; the slackers, the slow-minded buffoons. And to squeeze the icing onto the cake, he'd been assigned a science project with the queen of the eleventh grade dunces: Robyn, the spoiled-rotten brat from the upper-class side of Fallshire*. Why was this happening to him?

Robyn groaned when she saw Joshua sit down next to her. They had been partnered together and it couldn't be a much worse partnership. They had different lifestyles. Different friends. Different walks of life and both lived in different areas of Fallshire. Joshua hated her, he would always tease her if she got an answer wrong and she hated him calling him a dirty haired rocker who cared more about a guitar than anything. Her eyes looked down at the floor as she tried not to look at him. Oh god this was going to be a nightmare. She wanted to slam her head down on the desk but then she would ruin her makeup and that would be a disastor.

I wonder what she's thinking about, Joshua thought, his mind wandering as homeroom 58 inundated the room through the door.
Oh, do your clothes not match? Is it the end of the world because you put too much greasy makeup on this morning? Your kind is vile and you make me sick.
Joshua stood up for the daily Pledge of Allegiance, placing his right hand on his heart but not even synching the words. He glared menacingly at the flag which Americans were brainwashed to follow with such blind faith; he despised having to obey orders unless they directly benefitted him. The only way he would
help this pitiful country was if he was drafted in the military. And judging by his attitude toward school, he'd probably never go to college. And the army was where he'd end up unless, of course, he and his friend Kyle could find two decent people to join their aspiring band as singer and percussionist.
As the pledge ended and morning announcements began, the class sat down. Joshua crossed his arms and legs, closing his eyes to make the wait for first period seem that much shorter.

Robyn looked at him as he stared at her and then stood up. The pledge of alligiance was day in and day out. Day after day. Though she was proud of her nation and proud to recite her nation's alligiance but she was bored of it. Instead of saying it like the rest she synched it. Her hand over her heart. Her eyes shut. Once that was over she sat down. Her legs crossed and her chin resting in the palm of her hand. "This is soo boring." She mumbled as the teached began to drone on about sexual reproduction.

This is absurdly boring...Damned bell, why won't you ring?!
"Josh, any thoughts?" The thick german accent of Josh's first-period Biology teacher penetrated his daydreams.
"Erhm...Could you repeat the question, please?"
Mrs. Waters sighed.
"Why are there so many sperms cells in one ejaculation cycle?" Joshua wanted to burst into laughter but bit his lip.
"Uh..." He sighed.
"Because it's so easy for them to be produced with abnormalities."
"Could you please be a bit more specific?"
"If the...Bodily temperature..." He intentionally avoided saying the word 'testicle'.
"If it's too high or too low the sperm might be born deformed. And the woman and man's reproduction systems are very dangerous to them. They sometimes turn against the sperm because they don't have 46 chromosomes."
"How many chromosomes does one sperm cell have?"
Just leave me alone!
"Uh...Twenty."
"23."
"Oh."
Mrs. Waters then proceeded to explain the process of the sperm swimming up to the egg cell. Joshua thought she did so in a bit too much detail for his comfort. But since he'd just answered the majority of a barrage of questions correctly, he knew he could daydream without interruption for at least ten minutes or so. He placed one elbow on his desk and leaned his head on it, exquisitely acting like he was taking the notes he'd already been constrained to take twice already.

Robyn leaned back on her chair, arms folded against her chest. Her eyes looking downwards. She may not be the brightest girl but she was quiet smart at science and in sexual reproduction. A sigh escaped her lips. This was so boring. Mrs.Waters was asking everyone else but not her. That was because Mrs.Waters hated her and thought she was a dumb bimbo all because she nearly blew up the science lab when they were doing Physics.

"Robyn. Where is Seamen produced?"

"In the Prostate."

"What is the tube that runs through the penis to allow Urine called?"

"The Ureatha."

Robyn sat there, a bored look on her face as she saw Mrs.Waters give her a confused look as if to say how do you know all of this. It almost made her want to laugh.

Joshua was somewhat shocked that Robyn knew the answers to the riddles given to her; had she actually paid attention to something the teacher said, and would contribute to the science project?
Impossible! Was the answer that immediately came to mind, but...Perhaps she had everyone fooled. At least, a little.
He was amazed. Still, Joshua sighed; she certainly wasn't opaque on purpose. He couldn't blame her for something that wasn't her fault.
To his astonished relief, the bell finally rang and the students closest to the door glided through it as quickly as they'd came in earlier.
"Oh, Josh, could I see you for a minute please?"
Are you joking?
"Sure." He walked to the side of the large desk in the front center of the room.
"In Biology club, we are making bird houses. Do you still volunteer at the Autobon Society during the summer?"
"Yes."
"Oh; we need to know what kind of bird houses to make. Which birds live in this area."
"Pat lives on a farm in Pennsylvania; he might not be there on weekdays."
"If you could contact him and ask what types of birds live around here, you could get a bonus point on your next quiz." Josh shuddered at the word 'quiz'; his classmates made a hobby out of making fun of the foreign teacher's pronunciation of the word. He thought her as a demon, but still, nobody had the right to gossip about people behind their backs. He knew he didn't like it when the snooty girls of the class did it to him.
"Okay, I'll call him sometime this week."
"Thank you."
"Have a good day."
Joshua nodded, walking out the door and leaning against the wall to its left.

Robyn quickly stood up and ran out the classroom as the bell went. She hated that class. Yeah she was kinda good at it but it was a boring ass lesson. Her eyes looked around as she leaned against a locker, a smirk on her face. God she just wanted school to be over. How boring could you get. The students were boring, teachers were boring hell the lessons were boring. Why did school even exist in the first place?

His day always started off on the wrong foot, so Joshua just walked to Health class. They'd probably be practicing CPR on mannequins for, what seemed like, the twentieth week in a row, so he was not at all excited to be there. when Gym class ended and the second half of the year rolled by, he expected Health class to be about safety in the home, wilderness survival and, perhaps, first aid. But all they had done for two months now was "save" arm and legless adults made of rubber. It wasn't like the class would be allowed to use their training hands-on the way medics and survivalists would...All Joshua could do was endure the boredom.
"Well, since we're gonna be lab partners," Joshua said to Robyn as he passed her.
"We're just gonna have to learn to deal with each other...So what's the project about?"
