FMA brotherhood: secondcoming (private for grandsword and luxx)
outside the train station of central city, an aged figure paced back and forth, he wore dark, aquamarine suit adorned with gold trimming. His long, white hair was tied into a pony tail, which blew slightly in the wind "where is that girl? she's late for her first mission. not good for her or myself.." he mused aloud, as he continued to pace

Anna breathed heavily as she ran down the street, pushing through crowds of people. She pulled out her pocket watch, the one that signified her rank as a state alchemist and bit her bottom lip. She was so dead. After putting the watch back into her coat pocket, she picked up the pace. The Central Train Station was just ahead; she was almost there. Hopefully she wouldn't get chewed out too badly for being late.
The girl slowed to a stop and doubled over with her hands on her knees when she finally reached her destination. The cream colored scarf around her neck had nearly fallen off while she ran and did fall off when she stopped. She leaned down and picked it back up before brushing down her black jacket and skirt. "Sorry...for being....late..." she managed to say between breaths, hands now placed on her hips.

upon seeing anna arrive, johnson heaved a sigh. " if you were one second later, we would have missed the train to south city.." he said flatly, rubbing his temples "at least tell me you've figured out a codename for yourself. you'll need one for this mission; command wants us to gather intel on a gang that's been plaguing south city, rumor has it that they're led by a rougue former state alchemist. if this proves true we are to capture him for questioning." he told her as he boarded the train, gesturing for her to follow

Anna caught her breath at last and followed Johnson onto the train quickly. At least they made their train, that's all that mattered. She listened intently to what he had to say about their mission, nodding here and there to show she was listening. "They started calling me The Lightning Alchemist at Central. Does that work as a codename?" She asked him and took her seat next to the window.

johnson nodded, taking a glass of water from a passing cart "that should work nicely..i suppose we should use the time we have until we arrive to learn a bit about each other, since we've been partnered together" he said, sipping his drink

Anna let out a long sigh and blew her bangs out of her eyes. "Well.." she began, a bit leery to tell him her back story "My name is Anna Maes Elric, I use electric alchemy, I'm 18 years old and my home town is Risembool". Her faded blue eyes wandered to the window for a moment. Anna was trying to be as blunt as possible, introductions weren't exactly her strong point. She crossed her legs and returned her gaze to Johnson.

Johnson gave her a smile "my name is Johnson K. Darkly, as you may already know, i'm a colonel ranked state alchemist. what you may not know is that like yourself, i have my own unique style of alchemy, it's called wire alchemy, as for my hometown..let's just say it was destroyed a while back" he replied, looking out the window

"Interesting" Anna said, watching him as he spoke. It was clear that he was an experienced Alchemist and had a tense past since he wasn't willing to say the name of his home town. She could probably learn a thing or two on this trip. "I'm exited to see South City" she stated, breaking the silence "Other than being in Central City for a while now, I've only ever been in Risembool. My mother and father didn't want me to leave until I was eighteen". Her father kept her at home more than her mother did. He didn't want his little girl going out and seeing the dangers of the world.

"south city is a beautiful place, tourist capital of Amestris. it would be a regular utopia if not for the high crime rates due to the war with Aerugo" Johnson responded "never understood the lure of big cities myself, too much hassle. I've been to Resembool before on my travels, it's nice; quiet, peaceful..a good place to reflect" he said, the train slowing down a bit."hmm? strange, we're not even near south city. so why would it stop her- EVERYONE GET DOWN!!" he exclaimed as the tell-tale glow of alchemy reached the corner of his good eye, followed soon after by a quake as a pillar of earth slammed into the train, landing it on it's side

Anna had been staring out the window when the attack happend, and she herself had noticed the glow almost as quickly as Johnson did. She tensed and grabbed onto the seat to keep herself steady. The attempt was futile though and the girl was sent crashing down onto the other side of the train, landing on her side. She stayed there for only a moment before quickly gritting her teeth and pushing up onto her hands and knees. "What the hell..." she mumbled and wiped blood from her forehead where a small scrape was. Her eyes immediately went to the other passengers for a moment, making sure no one had been seriously injured.
