    Thread ownership transfer?

Hello. I've been DMing the RP Feral for quite some time now, having been officially handed the reigns (permanently) by the previous owner Blazion . However, she still owns the IC and OOC threads, and as I change, edit, and update things I'm having trouble because I cannot update the first post which contains all the relevant information new players would be interested in. For now I've been simply asking her directly to make changes, but I was wondering if it was possible to transfer ownership of a thread so I don't have to keep bothering her with edit requests.

Sorry, but I don't think that's possible. You're going to have to find a new way to archive information where it's easily editable, unless you intend to contact a mod every time you want to change something. If you have a post on the first page, you can archive information there and use that as an "OP" of sorts. Or perhaps use a social group. Or start a thread in the Articles/Guides section to archive your thread information. Lots of options- but sadly you cannot transfer thread ownership.

Alternatively, you make a new thread.
But, nope, there's no way to transfer ownership without changing thread.

Thread ownership depends on who made the OP. The only possibility is to change owners is to the delete posts before your first. Last time I checked I was told it is impossible to rearrange posts through other means.

Create a new OoC/IC thread and let a mod merge the old OoC/IC on top of the new equivalent (and perhaps let them delete the old opening post while they are at it)?

Granted, I am not familiar with this particular site's mod-tools, but on most forums it is by default possible. (In case of thread-merging, the posts aren't typically sorted by date for practical reasons, so you can have the posts of the new thread come first and the old thread follow up.)

Yea I figured as much. Thanks guys. I wasn't sure to what extent the mods here actually manage the database code directly, as ownership transfer SHOULD be as simple as changing the id field of the first post to that of the new user. If everything is done via tools though that wouldn't be possible, though
